To make it the easiest, transcribe the recording and teach from these notes. Together with the slides, it is the best way to do your first prac. It seems hard now as you think of it, but once you start the training, the trainer state will kick in. Automatically, and you will see how well it flows. Just remember that if you make a mistake in explaining something, nothing stops you from explaining it again so you do it right. Also remember that the people don’t know NLP, so it is not like you have critics there to monitor how you teach.
The hardest part to teach well be sue it is convoluted is in the first two days – the language patterns (presuppositions, Milton – here you need to give your students a lot of why just before this section as it is hard for them – metaphors and Meta model. If you do this well, the rest is easy. I have gotten to new understating on how to teach this so that it is well accepted and people don’t freak out in the last two years. I’ll have a prac in Australia coming up in May, and I have a big group which is much harder than a small group where you can talk to all individuals one on one. So don’t worry, get the transcriptions done and teach from the notes. You can even play the demonstrations we did on the prac DVDs (take them out of the DVDs and play them) first and then do a live demo to make sure all is perfect. Also the DVDs are a full Prac as we taught it live recording, so that also is helpful for you to watch.
Bottom line, you know enough as it is to teach a good training. Focus on the end result and do not let yourself get into anxiety. Remember anxiety and worried about the future (training) are possible only if you focus on what can go wrong. Get prepared well, and focus on how well the training will be and how well you will teach and how great the results you will have with the students. Focus on the great feeling you will have at the end when you will hear “this was the best thing I have done in my entire life” from your students. And then worries and anxiety will diaapear. Remember also that you will perform much better from now until the training and during the training if you focus on the “successful completion”.
I know you know all this, and it is good from time to time to hear it again.
When is your prac?
