Knowing the applications and potential uses of the skills we train people has become my specific selling advantage. I listen for opportunities to “apply the techniques” in every conversation. Enrolling students into my training is my objective with every person I talk with.

For example a business owner having trouble getting his employees to fully engage with his vision and the activities he expected them to do. The client happened to be complaining to a Facebook group about this issue.

Here is a clip from our conversation:

Client: “I am curious how you incorporate the hypnosis?

Me: “Hypnosis is about knowing how to develop a state of suggestibility in another person. For example an employee who fails, or refuses, to follow the suggestions of the employer. Why does this problem exist? We both know that leadership is only established and maintained when an employee is willing to accept the suggestions of their employer. This is really all hypnosis is and when you learn to utilize it to fulfill your vision and purpose in a win/win relationship that is where true leadership occurs, am I right? That is why hypnosis is such a critical tool. Of course now days you hear people talk about knowing how to “Tell a story”. In Hypnosis we call that a metaphor and you can learn to use this skill with exponential effect.

Client: “Wow that is very interesting! Love this.”

Cut and copied directly from our conversation online. And this is one example of the sales dialogue occurring everyday in my business. Knowing my ideal client (Yes, I have this clearly defined for my team) and the problems my clients are facing everyday (Clients like to share problems in social media, where they are looking for solutions) is key to my production.

And, YES he will be attending my next 7 day training.

Adriana, I agree with your comment. Technology is rapidly changing in our world today. It is changing the way people are behaving, interacting and perceiving the world around them. Like it or not, this is a current reality.

Now, it is time for a new set of questions. Questions of intention of the person/thing that posses the skill applying these “new” technologies. “Good” as you describe would be the complex equivalence of the one in possession of the skill set to apply “new” technologies. Along with the perceived potential application for that technology to achieve a programmed intention or personal agenda. In fact what if this new technology is applied by “AI system” skill vs. “Human” skill?

So, you and I share the same curiosity “What is the GENERAL good?” and “By who’s/whats authority do we define GOOD?” Is it to be left in the hands of human skill or the AI systems?

Like you so eloquently point out if something is not done to change the awareness of a clueless population, what are we left with? My answer, take action!

Here is the “Is the world ready for this kind of Human Enhancement?” Human Enhancement the say. Artificially stimulated behavioral response. Agree with you Steph, “No Thanks!!” Anther great example of why it is more important than ever to build a successful NLP/TLT/Hypnosis training company.

WOW! An example of programming becoming complete when it offers personal benefit. Maybe that is what we’re supposed to laugh at, or not.

“Intellectual Laziness” as it was being used presupposes that we have the skills and ability to be “Intellectually Assertive”. Another great NLP selling benefit if you’re working with businesses that have R&D departments.

And here is a thought: “In the absence of fear, preparation can occur”. That is to say. “Know Your Intention”

Also interesting to me was to think about “Who” or “What” we give “authority” to…

Great video. And I noticed when he says “choose actions that are in your own best interests.”

Do you know what is in your own best interest? If not, you may be acting on behalf of someone else…

Thank you Adriana for your clarifying remarks regarding the email correspondence. It is interesting to me, as I’m sitting here and reading through the forums and catching myself up on what the TJC company is providing us in the master training program. I found myself captivated by this interaction.

It’s been my experience over the last 6 years, where I credit the TJC company for encouraging, challenging and inspiring me to critically think about my own critical thinking. As I read through your remarks I was impressed by the elegance you used in seeking to understand the perspective of the person who wrote the email.

So, as I think about this my thoughts return to the Presuppositions of NLP, specifically the Law of Requisite Variety, and how it applies to our critical thinking. My thought on this topic is that our thinking is the first behavior and to have behavioral flexibility in thinking is a skill to be developed. One that we are always developing. It is my perspective that to “know a thing” is to hinder our thinking and learning development.

I think of this quote “When the master is ready, the student will appear” meaning to attain mastery is to accept the eternal role of the student.

And it is how we learn to think that makes the difference. What happens when we perceive every topic using both deductive and inductive thinking? Would this directional thinking offer greater choice of our emotional behaviors? Would we not have a greater ability to fulfill our desires and intentions? Why choose something that feels negative over something that feels positive? Or vice-versa?

NLP/TLT/Hypnosis/Coaching/Huna, are all modalities or techniques used to develop learning. Learning to develop thinking flexibility. And for me it is a continual process of learning to think about how I think.

So, my eternal gratitude to Tad, Adriana, and the staff of the TJC for the opportunity to think about the thinking I use to think with. (I know…something to think about!)
