Thank you, Mark and everyone on the call, for the insightful session today. Really useful to get a simplified on-line marketing approach tested by the TJC already. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Adam -…or you can tell the other people and oil companies that are watching you that you have become so consistently successful by applying NLP and doing transformation work on yourself first. There are many businesses people that limit their business with their own limiting beliefs or away from in their values. And it is difficult to become aware of that unless somebody/a coach listens to them and asks some questions. And problems love eachother’s company. For ex I am working with this business owner who went bankrupt although he had many clients and lots of projects to work on. But because of his relationship issues he would find refuge in the business and become burnt out and lost track of his financial results. And with NLP you have this ability to unravel the whole problem architecture and structure and then help these businesses owners breakthrough in their business as well as other areas of their lives.

Hi – here are some of the answers I can think of to these objections:

NLP as a manipulation tool? There are indeed ppl who see NLP as a manipulation tool but then think again of any other tools that we use on daily basis such as knife or a phone or anything else. The tool in itself has no other meaning or purpose than the one you give to it. Think of a phone for ex: it can help you connect with ppl you love but when you realize that you waste hours reading posts on FB and giving Likes to ppl you have never met, then it becomes a different thing. And you become maybe up-set with yourself, frustrated even for not being able to control it and before you know it, it almost becomes an addiction. And this is where NLP can help you become more present, more grounded and aware of what you are doing, always keeping in mind the purpose for doing what you are doing, be more in control of yourself and your outcomes and live a more fulfilling life.

Hypnoses as manipulation: one of the biggest AHA moments people have when taking a Hypnoses training is that the client is the one holding the pendulum and not the other way around as you may have seen in the movies. And the reason why it is so is because the pendulum is nothing hut a means for the client to communicate with its own unconscious mind and to get feedback and give specific instructions for healing, learning and changing habits.

Staying a victim: you may as well stay a victim for the rest of your life, no one will notice or bother much about it. They may offer to help or support now and then but they all have their own lives to take care of. No one can tell you what to do or not do and by the way who says or how did you get the idea or the confirmation that this is the life you are supposed to live? Was there a sign, a letter you received from the sky or how specifically did you become convinced that this is 100% for sure your destiny? Just ask yourself this question. Was it really destined to be that way or was there something you could do about the situation now that you think about it. But because you did not know some things back then but now you do, you would have approached it with a different attitude and mindset. And this is how NLP actually empowers people, to always think about the options they have, make choices and decisions of their own, determine the results they want to get and stay focused on where they want for themselves.

      Hi,
I really like the 5 steps sale process the way it is explained in the Marketing your NLP CD #7. I think the guidance on how to make sales really make sales look like magic ๐Ÿ™‚ Main things I kept from there: create rapport and note down clients words, elicit the values, decision making strategy and show genuine interest in assisting the client solve his problem. A good sales call for me is one where the client does most of the talking.
My fist prac did not take place as I was holding the belief that I was not prepared enough. Doing things “perfect” versus just “getting things done” kind of conflict and I realized that true learning only happens only when you practice.
So the 2nd and the 3rd prac took place and they were pure joy both for the participants and myself. I realized how important it is to be motivated by “towards” sort of values and holding the firm belief that in one way or another things will turn out fine, and they did turn out fine. I had my notes with me, everything I learned in NLP and outside NLP thus far and good old Milton model….just in case I forgot something, sooner or later, just using Milton would get me out of any situation.
Adam – I liked your post from another thread on how you woke up at 5am every morning and gave everything you had in you for the success of your family business – not only I think it would be a great metaphor for your Prac but it shows that by staying focused and taking action you can achieve your goals and make happen the things you want in your life. All the best for your first Prac and future ones as well!

You are absolutely right Adriana and Aaron. Kids are like clients. If you force techniques on them it will not work. And indeed, once you are in a balanced, composed state they will gravitate around you like flies go to honey. Sometimes it gets so funny as I move around the house they follow me around while continuing to do their own stuff.
They need space to just be themselves and someone to just listen to them as they take things off of their chest, to probe but not to judge or evaluate. They know when something went wrong and unfortunately the typical societal reaction to it is to make them feel guilty which as we know only adds more to the problem. They are resourceful and need someone to remind them of this …just like we do. And most important: the more we persevere and grow the better for them because in the end they model us.

Thank you, Adriana, for this section ๐Ÿ™‚ I often hear people telling me that you cannot start your own business until your kids are out of the door and on their own which in Romania is 18 years old. You have to work for a company to have a stable income to be able to pay for everything is a common approach. However, I see more and more entrepreneur mums, starting their own business, there are even networking communities that you can join and share experiences which is very encouraging.

Things get indeed more complex with kids around as they want your undivided attention hence time management is really important as well as the way you explain to them what you are doing or even get them involved. I realized I cannot hide in a room to work hence I start early in the morning before they are up to get clarity for the day and get going. I get them engaged in preparing things for the trainings (such as arranging the training room, distributing brochures) and as they are always creative I ask for their opinions and ideas. They know by now what is it that I do in my business as they have been NLP-ed and TLT-ed and hypnotized many times.
There were times when I used to think that it is not possible to have a job, start a business and take care of the kids as well. But staying focused, reminding myself to be at C and with perseverance things are really possible.
Most important thing for me to realize was that it is not about the kids as much as it is about me. They are part of my life, they are part of me so whatever I decide to do going forwards I need to carry them with me. It is important to manage myself first and set the expectations right with myself and the rest will follow.
Happy to hear about other parents and their experiences and learnings through the journey!

Thank you, everyone, for sharing from your experience. I realize as I go through the tapes and prepare the notes that this is the best way to do it. I got overwhelmed initially as I thought I would not have enough time to go through the topics and be able to present them in my own manner/style. I have initially scheduled a Prac for 1 whole week but then decided to split it into multiple sessions across 4 weekends as I need to accommodate my job schedule as well.

Hey Adriana. Thank you for your reply and guidance – very helpful as always and it would be great to connect separately and discuss further.

As of now, I am preparing for Prac which I admit is giving me a bit of a head ache in the sense that I struggle with finding my “best” method for preparing for it and staying focused everyday on going through the content.
I am aware that doing transcripts and listening to the tapes are key in preparation so that afterwords I am able to do the 4MAT for the topic however it would be great if you can give any further guidance or if anyone can share from their experience what helped them do a good preparation of a Prac.

      Thank you!

Hi Tad – after a few runs at the lawyer, accountant, authorities etc. Refresh Your Mind Consulting is now open for business ๐Ÿ™‚ I am already having a few coaching contracts, some more intros in plan, focusing on my website, making travel arrangement for Master Prac in July. Also I got an accountant that is giving me good counselling when it comes to taxes, papers etc.
I was inspired by one of Marc’s earlier posts, so instead of paying for the fees with the lawyers etc I am proposing coaching in exchange and it becomes a win-win.

All in all it gives me a new perspective on the daily activities as it helps me understand better what is it, from what I do, that drives clients and revenue in the business and which are those activities or initiatives that don’t. Also, I now have more structure on my monthly income and expenses as it is no longer mixed with the current job salary.

I hope everyone is excited about opening up their own corporation and making a dream come true!

Hi – can we please have an example of what is expected as part of this project. There is a lot of valuable information and great examples like irrelevant attribute (silk shampoo) or adds where 9 out of 10 doctors recommend x toothpaste as scientifically proven etc. however not sure of what we need to focus on & deliver here.
      Thank you for clarifying.

Hi everyone! Am back from Easter holidays here in Romania and pulling my NLP brains together ๐Ÿ™‚
Deb – I think you are absolutely right. Some intros might produce results immediately some on medium or longer term. As you rightly said, it is a matter of follow-up and keep them close in your communications, newsletters and sometimes have the patience to listen to their problems. Someone came to my intro and although she would need some support she came up with the idea to support her daughter’s voleyball team to be more confident when stepping in the arena and don’t let themselves be intimidated by the supporters of their adversaries…so the idea is, that you get into some interesting conversations and discover things that you never thought of.

Also, the donation idea is brilliant. I also plan to charge something going forwards and see how this changes the exchange of energy between me and them.

Deb – you also asked me about FB adds in another thread, how this works. I have tested it in the past couple of months to create awareness and to basically help create the shift in people’s minds regarding what I do. As many of my colleagues at work they have known me for what I have been doing in the past years but not for NLP trainings, coaching etc. To be honest, FB adds require some time to figure out the best way to do the campaigns, do the targeting, adapting your communication and message based on the responses you get throughout the campaigns. Again, it produces results as long as you connect with the people separately, have conversations with them about what their problems are etc. Depending on what niche you have established for yourself, and what you are projecting, it is even surprising & funny to see some of the results or clients you get ๐Ÿ™‚ Then you might go back an rewrite what kind of niche you want to be in.

By the way, I have a question on how to deal with clients that come to your training and want to make a move on you…not sure if this is the right expression but I think you got the point.

      Thanks!

Hi Laura. Thanks for the opportunity to ask questions.
One question I have is when/how do I know is time to quit my current job to be able to focus on the NLP business. I personally feel I am spread thin into too many things and it is challenging sometimes.
Also I have a kind request for future seminars to have them start 1-2 hrs earlier. With the current timing, it starts at 1 am in Romania. I think 2 hrs earlier would work finr for all timezones.thanks!

Thank you, Adriana. Indeed many people I have met are waiting and hoping for some magic pill or miracle to save them and to produce the results they never put the effort to get themselves. And their minds are just bombarded with adds on how this or that product will make all their problems disappear overnight and bring them health, happiness and success by just watching TV and buying those products.
And looking at the obstacles along the way as tests and as an inherent part of the learning process, it gives me more energy to move on and try out something differently or something completely new.

Hi Tad- I am all set now. After a few runs at the bank, accountant, authorities etc I am now officially open for business :)) Picked up a reliable accountant who is diligent with the papers and giving me good counselling. I am already having a few client contracts for coaching and preparing for trainings, some more intros, making travel arrangements to assist the Master Prac in July etc.
This creates a whole new experience for me, I see my daily activity from a completely new perspective as I am now clearer on how much revenue I/they produce for the business and what exactly drives that, what are the expenses etc. Until now it was all mixed up with the current job salary.

I hope everyone is excited about opening up their own corporation – gives you a new dynamic and motivation in taking action.
