      Hi all,

One of my main goals is to stay healthy, mentally, emotionally and also physically.
And one key aspect of the matter is the kind of food that we eat. I have been eating a Ketogenic food plan for the last 5 months and I really like it. Mostly eating organic and also adding some high fat products I have found which ingredients seem reasonable.
Last night I met a Nutricionist “expert” and she told me how bad is the Ketogenic plan for the liver in the long run as it is very hard for it to process high fat intake.
She said that “current updated studies” clearly suggest the best diet is based in only eating organic fresh fruits and vegetables. Even to avoid everything cooked as we get heavy metals toxicity from the cooking utensils….
My intention with this chat is to open the discussion about what has been your experience and current ideas and knowledge about healthy food so we can all learn more about it or even change our diet if needed.
My main goal regarding food is to stay healthy.

      Thanks

      My take:

      1. We are so different on the outside. Why would we think that we are all the same on the inside?

      2. Hormonal status. People’s endocrine systems operate at different levels. There is no box in which you can put everyone and assume that we are all the same. Of course, there are common things between people. However, as Dr. Thierry Hertoghe, one of the world’s foremost endocrinologist avers, the response of the body is something everyone should learn to recognize. Why is this relevant in relation to diet? Because according to the the levels of androgens (male hormones) and estrogens (female hormones) irrespective of your gender, your body may need more or less protein, and may need more plant based nutrition VS animal based.

      3. The blood type. Different haplogroups respond differently to types of nutrition. Blood type 0 for example, in general, responds better to more meat eating that blood type A type.

      3. As we learned in the New Haaling Paradigm in the TLT Master Practitioner, there are different emotional conflicts in different areas of the brain which -according to the brain relay and brain layer – create disease including cancers. Some cancers respond excessively well to raw juicing, and raw vegetarian alkaline diets. Some need more acididty – yeah, I have been blowned away reading that as I thought that we are all too acidic based on our environment and processed foods diapers. However, some people need more acidity… Well, go figure!

      4. Pancreas and gallbladder. Gallbladder problems affect a lot of people. So much so, that gallbladder surgeries are a common fact of life in our day and age. If one’s body is afflicted with gallbladder problems, the ability to process fats is dramatically reduced. In this case, to push for fats without metabolic support is counter-indicated as most well trained health practitioners could tell you.

      5. Gym and physical activity. Gym people, especially those who do weights release more androgens. In the days where one goes to the gym and does a heavy workout, the body may need more protein than in the days where one does not.

      4. If one’s hormone status is predominantly androgenic (lots of male hormones VS female) one may need to balance that with Yin type of foods as this kind of nutrition supports a healthy balance. Pushing meat will only increase the androgens, and the result may be totally counterproductive.

      5. Values levels neurological development. Different values levels manifest in the endocrine system with a different production of types of hormones. VL 3 for example produces far more noradrenaline than VL 4 who repalces that with more adrenalin. This has a major effect on the adrenal glands and the production of cortisole, which turn affects the thyroid, th hypothalamus, etc. So, again, not everyone is at the same VL, and therefore hormones influence the liver and thus the diet necessary. Even for one person, the hormonal status changes almost on a daily basis and thus one day you may need more of this and the next day more of that.

      6. Lack of minerals, Vit D3, Vit B, Mg and Ca, etc…
A body which is depleted of building blocks (vitamins, minerals, amino-acids, essential fatty acids, etc. Will crave those and will try to grab them whoperever it can. For example for the craving of chocolate – said form the sugar addiction which is a completely different issue, the Magensium in Cocoa is one of things that people crave and lack.

      7. Candida. We all took antibiotics and swam in chlorinated pools. As a result in time many people develop candida overgrowth. Antibiotics and chlorine destroy th beneficial intestinal flora, which in turn affects our metabolic processes, our immune systems, and our brain function. Candida is a fungus that grows slowly – it may take 20-30 years to get to the liver. But once in the liver it affects our petite. Candida wants more foods that support candida growth. Without knowing why we crave those foods. There are two ways in which candida manifests. One is though craving for sugar, and the other for vinegar. Having been on the vinegar side, I can attest to the fact that once I got rid of candida through a 6 weeks special diet plus a regimen of herbs (see here if you’re interested Dr. John E. Humiston’S protocol), I can’t smell or taste vinegar but all the bloating and cravings for vinegar are gone. I am sure there are many other protocols out there – as in every country there are many enlightened physicians and health practitioners – but this one I am familiar with.

      8. Here is a video with Dr. Terry Wahls who healed herself of MS though intelligent nutrition. Now we all know that MS is not curable. Watch her Ted talk – it’s short and to the point. She talks about the hunter gatherer paler diet. As you think of it in therms of time frame, th hunter gatherer diet precedes the agrarian period. Our bodies’needs changed dramatically once – as a species – we stopped running around to find food. We became static, with far less needs for fuel. To me what she describes makes total sense BUT again, peopel have to learn their own bodies’ responses together with everything else above. There is no escape if you really want to know yourself and what YOU need.

Nutritionists are great, they have a lot of knowledge. But like many other specialists from different domains, many make the mistake of not recognizing that we are not the same. And what works for one does not work for everyone else. Know your own body. Belgian to learn about yourself rather than let someone else tell you about how you are. You are the best to recognize what works and what does not. Not to speak of the level of increased consciousness that this prices alone will being about.

Of course these are just my thoughts and the information I have acquired in time. I am not a medical doctor so I am not advising you to do anything, and if you have any health concerns please consult a specialist health care provider for any problems you might have. So do not construe this to be an advice – it is just information. Once you know a lot of knowledge under your belt, then you know what to look for in your body, in your thinking, and emotional output, and begin to know what YOU need and what’s working.
