Leslie GuntersonParticipantI read an article today by Russell Brunson, Adam. He referenced several articles about the F-Bomb being a pattern interrupt that everybody seems to be using now. He mentioned that if using it becomes too commonplace, then not using the f-Bomb will become the pattern interrupt.
That struck me as funny. Good to see you here.

Adam MayerParticipantGreat to see you here, Leslie! That is funny. Sounds like the F-bomb is also masking emotional pain in addition to physical pain. There is a new intervention just waiting to be invented here… the F-ing Swish Pattern? “Present state… desired state… 1, 2, 3… *#@$*^@#$*&^@#$!!!” Perhaps Collapse the F-ing Anchors? “See what you saw, hear what you heard, and really feel the feelings of @#$*(@#*&^#@*&*&^$!!!!”
The Indian yogi Sadhguru also talks about the power of the word Shiva to perform acts of creative destruction, and how the S-word has a similar sound… in fact it’s really about the “sh” sound. So here’s this enlightened yogi periodically sprinkling “bulls***” into his talks, to the shock and amusement of the audience. It is a nice pattern interrupt and helps break the trance of thinking that the divine is some sterile, sanitary thing, reminding us that that Life is a little messy sometimes.
Also reminds me of the science of cymatics, where specific sounds like “ahhh,” “uuuuu,” and “mmmmm” generate specific geometric shapes when applied to media like metal plates covered with sand. I wonder what shape the F-bomb generates….
