Yes, if you want to have a comprehensive and thorough values alignment so that your values support your goals, then you need to write down all the CEs (Complex equivalents) for each value. So, you ask yourself for each value “What does this value mean to me?” and the write down all the things you can think of that that value represents to you. This is info from you to you – and it will surprise you! So you actually discover not only the big abstract value itself, but also the details of HOW that value is accomplished or fulfilled based on your personal interpretation of that word.
