Linda, if you remember I talked about this in TT. If you mix anything (anything at all, especially spiritual teachings) with NLP, TLT, etc. you will confuse your students beyond repair. They will think that NLP and TLT is something that it is not. All students that have tried this in the past have failed because of this reason they did not understand. NLP and the other technologies we teach have to do with the training of the mind. As I said in the trasncript to Zoom Webinar No. 1 at the very end, the spirit is the source, the mind is the tool and the body (physical world) is the result. If you mix spiritual stuff with the training of the mind, you will confuse the mind even more than it already is. You mix two areas which are not to be mixed for many, many reasons man of them being spiritual. I am not going to get into those her, as I teach them in APEP, and it will take me about 2 days to explain. These are also beyond the purpose of this forum.
You may be very hot on spiritual stuff, but not everyone else is. In the market place for about 40 years now, NLP has a certain position. People think about NLP in a certain way. The market place is already formed. You cannot change it. Around the world, NLP is recognized as having to do with the mind, change in behaviors, strategies, values, linguistics, etc. It is not and has never been designed for spirituality. Because it has nothing to do with that. You can teach spiritual stuff to your heart’s content, only not in the same training with NLP, TLT, NLPCoaching and Hypnosis trainings. Do a separate training for what you want to teach which is not NLP. It will only ad to your profit center, although there is no rollover possibility out of that one.
To mix it is 1. To confuse what is NLP and what is it not and 2. To miss the point. By learning how to control the mind, one will develop consciousness by developing awareness of themselves and here is the whole secret of spirituality. Soirituality is not “out there” it is “in here”. Most people heave no clue about themselves. They have no clue what they really feel, they are incongruent and incoherent. Most people subscribe to a spirituality delivered to them by systems including the New Age type. They think that meditation alone gives them spirituality … And they miss the point. Meditation is very beneficial, but the “translation” and the interpretation of meditative techniques is not developing coins counsels if the mind is muddled and confused and filled with crap. St “spiritual techniques” do not tell their follwers this very simple fact. And students miss the development of their minds as THE most important tool for developing consciousness.
Dion Fortune, the great initiate of the 20th century said: “The study of the mind of God (spirituality) must be preceded by the study of the mind of man, because the mind of man and the mind of God are one and the same“. Read this again and think of it carefully because in this statement is the answer to your question.
So, just by teaching NLP, TLT, etc., you ARE assisting people to develop their consciousness. The more the mind is capable of clear and un-muddled thinking the better it can transduce consciousness. After you do this and they are already Master Practitioners, you can give them techniques for spirituality. And even then, do not mix those with NLP and TLT.
The more one is able to understand values levels, and deal with the challenges that keep them stuck back in the first 4 VL, the more once frees one’s mind and develop one’s consciousness. Please read and think carefully about what you read in the Values and The Evolution Of Consciousness book.
