Sandra, what if you chunk down in all your examples and give people something more specific they can hang their hats onto? I think your pitches are little too chunked up, too abstract for most people to relate to. What do people want? Especially in your area? The answer is the same as in what in values we call their “needs and concerns”. So, according to the VL of the community to which you appeal, their needs will be less abstract (I promise you that).
This is your entry-into-a-conversation line. it has to take people from where they are. I think you are correct in what you say, you will do all you mentioned, however, non-NLP people, common folks on the street usually do not relate so well to abstract talk and they find it difficult to chunk themselves down from what you say, or chunk themselves up from their needs to what you say (either one). They may not even ask you “how specifically do you do that?” which will be (for us) the logical question to ask if they’re interested.
That’s just my opinion in general looking on how the general population thinks. Chunked down. Specific to the point of nausea, compartmentalized and linear. Keep in mind that I doh’t know who are you talking to and what people are you targeting.
Anyway, one sure way to find out is to try it and see if you get results. If you do, keep what works. If you don’t, tweak it, and tweak it again until you get the light bulb come on and questions coming back at you – in other words, you hit the nail on the head and you elicited an interest from the person you’re addressing.
