I’ve been looking on the ICF website because I was interested in determining if my school could offer ICF certification in addition to the 4 I offer for Prac and Master Prac.

Looks like first, I would need to be a member of ICF myself, and they have a long list of standards for applicants.

Curious if any of you have been able to get ICF designation, membership as an individual or a business, based solely on your NLP prac, Master Prac, and Trainer’s Training experience? Does it meet their qualifications or is there another hoop to jump through?

      Hi Rebecca

      That’s a good question!

This reminded me of what we talk about with our students during prac and master prac in the preframes about how the trainings we deliver exceed the ICF standards with a few examples (Tad and Adriana talk about this in the Coaching TT), this is good with VL4s in the class.

I don’t know anyone who has completed the TJC trainings and are also ICF members or approved trainers. I do know that ICF have specific core competencies and I know that it’s a long cumbersome process to become a member. TJC have never felt the need to fulfill the requirements of ICF because what we have all completed in trainings and what we all teach exceed the ICF standards.

Are you looking at ways to further your competitive advantage?

Look forward hearing to how you go, Gina
