ParticipantOne of my Prac students has asked about working with non neurotypical people and teenagers and adults on the Autism spectrum.
Her question is:
My question about Non neurotypical people. I’m thinking particularly about those on the Autism spectrum who often have very fixed/rigid patterns of thinking, may find it difficult to visualise anything that is not directly in front of them but who can often suffer crippling anxiety based on past experience and the difficulties they face daily in interpreting the world around them.
QUESTIONs
1. Do you know anyone in Adelaide skilled and experienced in working with autism teens/adults with either TImeline therapy or Hypnosis for anxiety reduction/management
2. What techniques can you use to develop visualisation capabilities when people sense things differently or do not have the same resources available due to autism
3. When someone is very fixed in thinking they may feel very challenged or upset that you do not appear to appreciate their thinking modality in black/white terms (e.g totally good or totally anxious days).. how can you break this down gently without alienating them and them having a meltdown or shutting down?Does anyone have any experience working with people in this situation or have any wisdom to offer?
Thanks!

ParticipantI worked with a little boy and his twin sisters who were all diagnosed with the same terminal illness: pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration (PKAN). The disorder causes progressive difficulty with walking, coordination, vision, speech, and swallowing.
While doing TLT with the boy, who has a more severe case, he didn’t really display much physical evidence that he was following his timeline, doing visualizations, and pendulum work. Though it was definitely different, I felt he was easier to work with because he has a childlike mind uncritically adopting my instructions.
Afterward, his mom reported that he was doing marvelous things such as sitting up unsupported and less muscle atrophy. The girls were able to walk without falling and trying to speak using longer sentences and they were all SMILING MORE!!! 😉
This was after only one session; be intuitive and remember you’re working with the Higher Self who is created perfectly.

KeymasterToni,
In autism
1. There is overload on the system and bran of haven metals. Reading articles and studies I see that chelation therapy helps, and detox from heavy metals assists the brain in recovering. Chelation therapy has to be done under the supervision of a well trained and versed person whom understands that chelation requires the replacement of minerals necessary for the body.2. Personally I don’t know if one of our graduates in Adelaide specializes in autism.
3. Have you tried the visual spelling strategy even if you have to take it very easy with pictures first?
4. The answer to your 3rd question is rapport. Tons of it. Massive !!!
If you remember I shared with you one of our TLT institute’s example where it took her two months just to build enough rapport so that there is no abreaction.5. Change in food quality and giving up sugar and empty carbs also has a positive impact on th brain activity. Organic foods and detox juices help.do not under recite the importance of inflammation in autism. See this articles about inflation-autism relationship

6. Remake the gut microbiome. Please read this article
Oh, and please be careful. Time Line Therapy is written with with 3 words not two. Let’s protect the trademark and enforce it correctly. It’s not the same thing if it is written with two words. If we don’t protect it ourselves, the practitioners of this magnificent set of techniques, we’ll lose it and that would make it disappear or change irreversibly into something unrecognizable which would be a very tragic situation.
Here are a bunch of other articles related to autism. Since I am not a medical doctor I cannot advise on anything however by reading them you can get informed about a course of action

I hope this helps

KeymasterThe truth is that nobody really knows how to deal with autism as a miracle cure or the real cause for it.
It is clearly something that appeared in th least 20 years and it is environmental, meaning what we put in our bodies, food, water, and other substances with act as invaders and damage the brain normal functioning, the gut microbiome, and the immune system which then cannot recover.
Add to that the soup of microwave, ELF, EMF, etc. In which we live due to the massive advances in technology which all have an effect on our brains, effect which has not been studied adequately. Our physical bodies (and thins includes the brain) struggle to keep up with the technology. We seem to lag behind….Saying that, everything I sent you above seems to help. So there is no one quick fix as much as we would like it to be that way.
It is a combination of this and that that helps and truthfully I have heard a lot of anecdotal evidence from parents and practitioners in our trainings of success with their children or children they advised based on all I sent you in my previous answer.
On top of that, anxiety model, and letting go of fear seems to help massively. But only after boatloads of rapport.
