      Hi everyone,

I want to share a success story with you, as I hope it may inspire you to go for big results yourselves.

When I was assisting Master Prac earlier in the year, a story popped up in the papers and on the TV about a hospital worker who, after catching covid, experienced extreme smell and taste distortion. Everything smelled and tasted of rotten meat, and even showering felt like showering in rotten meat. This is the original story I saw:

      https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/woman-smells-rotten-meat-eats-20729673

My immediate reaction was ‘you don’t have to live like that’, so now I had arrived at a choice point – reach out or not? I found her on Linkedin in minutes and fired her a message. She replied and we agreed to meet up so I could tell her what I do and how I could help. Then she disappeared for a month. Eventually she reemerged, and told me she’d been hospitalised due to extreme malnutrition. Even her teeth started falling out and she was only young. She was ready to hear what I had to say.

After an initial meeting we agreed a fee for the result of eliminating the symptoms, and set a date for a personal breakthrough.

One one level I had no idea if I could help, on another anything is possible. I kept my mind focused on the possibilities for how I would feel after the successful completion of the intervention. I knew all sorts of professionals would have had their opinions on her condition, and lots of limiting beliefs would have formed. There would be plenty to do while working out how to help as best as I could, so with belief in the process, I set about the methodological approach given to us during our trainings. Also I was recalling the sacred mantra, “my unconscious mind can organise everything so it’s easy to remember, easy to utilise and easy to know the right thing to say”. These are not just words, they are a lived reality.

Mindful that this was the head of education in the hospital trust, I gave a medical disclaimer. Some of what I did would possibly be a challenge to previous training she had experienced.

Sure enough the personal history revealed lots of work on negative emotions and limiting beliefs. For example she had been informed her nose nerves were damaged and may never recover, but of course when I asked into this, there had been no test of the nerves, just an ENT specialist’s opinion given as fact. That challenge alone broke some of the spell, and loosened her grip on the problem.

Halfway through the breakthrough her smell dropped from a 7 to a 4 on a scale of 10. An hour later she switched off the rotten meat smell completely. Soon after that she started to smell the essential oils we had there and got super excited, crying and shaking with relief. Near the end she placed mints in her mouth – similar to the taste of toothpaste which was making her vomit. She could taste mint vaguely and got the cool sensation, with an absence of the previous ash/rotten meat taste.

During the hypnosis section the UCM clearly signalled it needed two weeks to begin the process of returning the senses to full health, and would need three months to complete the process. Although this seemed like a less than ideal answer I had to respect the UCM and it’s clear signals.

We finished with the CYF process, a supplementation plan and further tasking, and she left excited about the possibilities.

We met this week, one week on. As she walked into the room she commented on being able to smell the fresh coffee I had deliberately made just before she arrived, as a test. The rotten meat smells remained gone. She started smelling her shower gels and shampoos, and tasting all her food again. She went to a wedding the day after the breakthrough and ate all the buffet. Only one or two of the strongest flavours had a vague tang to them, but all the rest tasted as they should. She also went out drinking and dancing all night twice, ate birthday cake at a friends celebration, and gained six pounds in one week. She feels she’s cracked it, and couldn’t be more satisfied if she tried. Her friends and husband are beside themselves with joy for her too as are all the staff at work.

She also went back to the ENT specialist and told him about her recovery, and informed him he shouldn’t speak to patients like that because of the potential effects it can have! great example of enforcing your boundaries. She is now considering whether staff should receive NLP training as part of their continuing professional development. Bring it on I say, and give me the contract.

I’m sharing this as an example of what you can do. There are lots of things we know we can do, but from time to time I’ve also helped people with extreme examples of presenting issues, particularly medical interventions. So if someone comes along and presents you with something extreme or highly unusual, just know you can do something about it, and work through the methodology you have learned with confidence.

The only way to discover what you can do is to do it.

Hi Marc, wonderful sharing. Thanks a lot! Following our intuition takes us places we would have never imagined. So empowering.
And congrats on being a Master Trainer, yay how amazing!!!

In 2019 we talked a bit in the break times when I tool Master Prac in Sydney.
Back then I thought if I will continue on to be a Master Trainer and living in Germany I would love to assist one of your trainings.
Hey, I’m back in Germany and would love to come over to England sometime next year to assist one of your trainings. 🙂
Not sure how to send you a private message though.

Looking forward to catching up sooner or later,
      all the best
      Judith

        Hi Judith.

Thanks for your kind words. I’m not a Master Trainer yet, still working towards it.
The best way to proceed is to message Conor in the first instance, that’s the correct protocol.

        Thanks
        Marc
