KeymasterCreate a simple, clear, (single page) color/glossy, high quality paper flyer advertising your next set of trainings, including (on the back side) your training schedule for intro seminars. Take it to the printer and print out 500. you should have your brochures available at every networking presentation, free intro talk or intro seminar you do. If you use them all fast, next time print out more. Exchange ideas on the forum about what should be on the fliers to be effective and what should be avoided.

ParticipantI’ve just created and had printed 1500 high quality flyers, 2 sided. They’re not advertising my next trainings specifically, just my services and benefits in general. My next training is about a month away so I decided to have something to take all the places I deliver free workshops and presentations. There are several business fairs and presentations I am doing free workshops at soon. So lots of business cards and flyers, and a big roll up banner too.
Also, one of my previous graduates is a magician who works stalls at business fairs professionally. So I have had a special set of magicians playing cards made. One side is normal looking playing cards, the other is my branding and NLP, TLT, Hypnosis, Coaching and contact details. He is going to work the stand with me, draw people in, use NLP in his routines (he is very good at this), and answer questions while I’m giving free discovery sessions and during my workshop, when I’ll be elsewhere. No idea how it will turn out but if all goes well there are three more of these in the north of the country I’ll be at and we can do this again. I’m paying him for every person he signs up.
In May I will produce a brochure for the next trainings.

ParticipantThat is fabulous Marc and so interesting. Looking forward to hearing how it goes. I have flyers made up already that I place at the different yoga studios I teach at and change the dates of them for the different trainings.
However, I am going to make a few changes as suggested by Adriana such as when I do the event for LuluLemon on June 1st (I am not doing it for free it is a paid event) they told me today that I am totally allowed to pass out flyers and brochures to everyone with what I offer. They are going to be doing the promoting of the event and will be advertising my website and flyers in their store and on the social media pages.
Last week I did a charity event (Friday) to help raise money for a client of mine and I was a little annoyed at myself that I had business cards with me and did not have a flyer about the services I offer so I am going to have that done ASAP.

ParticipantThank you Marc for your input. Congrats! Debra on your event!
Yesterday I was having a one on one with a client and he asks for a brochure and I didn’t have one either. One of the details I have been putting off. I know that is is important to full fill that part of their strategy. Working on it ASAP too:)

ParticipantI have been busily making email brochures for my next SCYFs and prac for 2 clients who are promoting for me to their colleagues, students and clients. One targeting adolescent students. The other targeting middle aged horse women. I have not created one for glossy print as yet. Will get onto it.

ParticipantHey Sadhna. Why would they not?
reduce exam stress and anxiety, goal setting that works, rid limiting beliefs, communicate effectively with other staff and parents as well as students, have productive meetings…….
I will be following your progress. I am really interested in working in education in some form also.

ParticipantNew Year, new brochure, and this time I have a copywriter/PR person writing it for me. I love the first draft and I’m looking forward to seeing the results ie at least a 250% increase in sales. My clients have had input through a survey, so it’s tailored around my target market.
“Trying” to write it myself, in the past, was a chore and took up too much of my time….I’m happy to hand it over to a specialist.

KeymasterCorrect.
But as I said in The NLP TT if you remember, you need money to make money.
So only after some sales and money coming in you can then employ others. Plus, the fact that you tried to do it on your own has given you (even if not successful) clarity on what should be thee – even if you did not get it right.
Now, you can look at the work of someone else and say Yay or Nay.
Like in sales. If you cannot sell yourself, how are you going to rain someone else to sell YOU?My advice, before you print 1000 brochures, take the proposed brochure and run it by some friends and acquaintances. Ask them if they would be interested in finding more about this as a result of reading the brochure.

ParticipantThank you Adriana. I have certainly done that, I’d made sales before outsourcing my copywriting. And I will take your advice and get feedback on it before I print 1000 copies.
Doing it myself in the beginning was my strategy, for all the reasons you have mentioned.
Learning many things and enjoying it.

ParticipantI’ve been a bit busy since coming on full time with TJC but I have 1500 brochures in the cupboard ready to go for 1 on 1 coaching, business coaching and breakthrough sessions. Fortunately I haven’t put dates on them so I can keep them til I need them.

ParticipantCongrats for coming aboard the TJC Team full time!!! Forgive me as I did not make the connection, hope to meet you in the not-so-distant future!
Great that you have the brochures already!!If you’re open to it….want to play a fun game?
Carry just 1 brochure around with you this week, with the intention to give it to someone for a Breakthrough Session…and really make that commitment to yourself that you’ll meet, speak with, build value, and exchange that brochure for his or her phone number to book a Breakthrough Session.
Even set a goal in your future time line to match this.
You’ll be surprised at how alert you’ll be, how attentive in every encounter with another, and how much fun you and your RAS will have!! (say it aloud to yourself the just the last part of that sentence after the word ‘fun’…hahahaha sorry had to do it ๐ }Tad had me play a similar game once (I laugh just thinking about it) …. he told me to ask everyone I met what they did for a living and respond with “that’s exactly why you need to come to this Practitioner training!!”
It was a blast, hahaha seriously so much fun, mostly because at that time I was meeting people only at the Whole Foods or the gym! 80% (8 of the 10 people i did this with) of the people looked confused but they took my card and gave me theirs and eventually I booked one of those 8 for a Intro Hypno weekend who then booked Prac and Master Prac.Have a go at it!! Have FUN!!!!!

ParticipantI created a postcard to take to Divorce Attorneys in my area. It is not a full brochure, but it tells Newly Divorcing Women all of the resources that I have for them, in a short concise format.
When I get a few more sales under my belt I will make a brochure. I also made an “Event” of my NLP Course on Facebook so that I can tag my Coach friends.

ParticipantI saw your postcard ๐ at Hypnosis TT.
Looks beautiful and professional and describes what you do enough to draw interest and questions for more.
Maybe as the Divorce Attorneys give out your postcard you could incentivize them with a referral fee by asking permission from their client to share the potential client’s phone number with you.So you have a soft way of getting leads in return for the postcards given out plus the attorneys will think to bring you a client if they get a percentage of the booking.
I did this at an Acupuncturist Office in Miami Beach, for every patient that was referred to me the MD got a $250 referral fee off a full breakthrough session and $50 for any other type of referral…I had her selling my Breakthrough sessions in essence.

ModeratorHi Leslie
What a great idea! And events on Facebook are good particularly when you tag groups. Good on you! We made up a one page brochure about the benefits for clients and took to a fertility clinic. We focused on benefits for couples going through IVF. There is interest in this area – a life matter for those who want a family with a little bit of help. Enjoy the forum! Gina
