KeymasterWrite down what is your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Your USP is a series of facts from the point of view of the consumer (always remember that, always from the second perceptual position) that makes you different from the competition. For example the Tad James Co. had 80 persons in the NLP Trainer’s Training. If you want to find your USP it’s easy if you have 3-5-8 people in your Trainer’s Training because they all get personal attention from the lead trainer. Hint: use pages 14-22 in the NLP Marketing Training Manual for answers. there are as many USPs as people. find yours and exchange ideas with other people in the forum.

ParticipantOk this exercise makes me nervous because I don’t know how to put myself out there yet…but if I were talking to a potential client, I’d say.
I have been in business of sales and recruiting for 19 years and in the business of what makes a sales team successful for 8 years. Now I train sales teams and recruiting firms in different mindset modalities that allow them to perform beyond their wildest expectations.
What sets me apart? I am a Trainer of NLP and TLT and I do nothing else but focus on making sales teams great, whether you’re a group of 5 or 500 everyone on your team will feel like my most valued customer and will learn how to be a successful, self-maintaining salesperson/recruiter and will know what it takes to increase their results in any sales situation.

In reference to the Marketing manual that Adriana mentions you really played into “establishing leadership” with your expertise in the field of sales and recruiting. Plus you have a narrow enough focus so that people in sales and recruiting will be drawn to you over another company that delivers trainings to general public.
I challenge you with making a location differentiation (page 18) because you have done sales and recruiting and coaching and training in the most sales shark-like environments in the USA. I know you have personally told me about your experience on Wall Street, all over NY, NJ, Conn., PA, and Mass.
This is a huge selling point! Make note of it to your clients.
Hey, strong sales skills are most noted in the North East not in small towns of Alabama, am I right??!!

Of course, you need to run it live by people and see if you get a blank stare or an interest. if you use it in advertising or on your website, again, do you get a positive response or not.
Love this: “NLP, Time Line Therapy(R) & Hypnosis – is simply more advanced” LOL – great line!And just FYI, no matter how good the PR and the lines are, eventually you need to always remember that you will get objections.
Now if objections are on the website, or in advertising, or brochures, you need to change it because it acts counter-productively.
If they are live, then you are dealing with another situation.
Objecting is a human trait. Whining and complaining is also a human trait.
So Annie is doing Project 8 and doing a great job at it. Have a look at it and do it slowly.
This project will help your brain to automatically deal with all the objections in the world.

ParticipantGetting closer Leslie….say something that would compel a person to ask more…. it’s still not juicy enough for me.
I have a couple really crass ones and really intriguing ones that are 2 to 3 words that are so shocking someone does a double-take to get me to clarify.
For example, I used to work as a recruiter for Women’s Health Research Studies in Gynecology… so when people asked me what I did, I said…
<<CRASS ALERT!!!>>
I’m a Cooter Recruiter… (now you have to understand I did this in the appropriate context and my personality handles shock factor very well and I was able to make anything bad sound professional)
When people responded with “WHaaattt???”
I’d say: yes if you have any gynecological needs whether it’s for general health or other private matters I can get you free exams, free treatment, and get you paid at least $700 for something you’d pay for anyway. Are you interested?Another example, when I did singles coaching aka Relationship Breakthroughs I told people I was a Professional SoulMater.
They’d always ask, “wait, what??”
I’d say: I’m a Master level Coaching Professional who will help you get so clear on who you are, what you want, and when you want it that when Mr Right/Mrs Right is right in front of you, you will know and you will be ready.
OR
I am a Professional Relationship Coach that works directly with the part of you that is in charge of attracting and recognizing your SoulMate and if we start right away you could be ready to meet him/her in time for <<insert major holiday here>>, if that’s what you want 🙂I have a lot of different things up my sleeve…
my formula = a catchy 2 word saying that is clever/shocking + unpack it with a sentence that still leaves intrigue.

ParticipantAs I look at Unique Selling Proposition, I see two arenas to do this work. The first is in my individual trainings (community based), and the second is corporate.
Here is the USP for my individual trainings. I”m sure there is more work to do, so this is a first pass:
Individual Trainings
– I’m a physician therefore I can bring an additional credibility to my trainings and more deeply explain the science in this technology (and this makes me attractive to other healthcare professionals)
– I am a female trainer. This is a male dominated space, and female trainers bring a different energy to the training and coaching
– I am African American –I bring diversity to a space that historically has not had it.
o The fact is People of color want personal transformation too. And they want to see trainers that looks like them.
o As a black female, I can relate to many of the experiences, concerns, objections, and relevant applications that NLP can bring in our community. As well, the metaphors and examples that I bring will be much more relatable
– My trainings are small and intimate with a “retreat” feel to them. I want my students to feel like they are in community, and keeping the trainings small and intimate not only allows them to bond, but also allows me to give them more attention
– Smaller trainings also allow for more discussion of practical application in various areas of life, career, and business
– I offer 3 months of free support beyond the trainings in group coaching form. This allows them to go out into the world, practically apply and come back and ask questions, share wins and experiences in the community. It also builds the community.I”m still working on the Corporate USP, but this is what I have so far. This is specifically for Corporate Diversity/Equity work focused on supporting Black and Brown Employee Networks.
– I’m a physician therefore there is instant credibility in this work. I can relay science of this technology and it’s practical application in the industry. (Similar to above)
– I have a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion certification, and have been providing corporate anti-racism trainings for the last 2 years. This combined with my expertise in Neurolinguistic Programming and my medical background gives me an especially unique listening and perspective in this space that has not yet been explored.
– The work I do is trauma informed, I am able to utilize the skills of NLP (in coaching and mediation) to help employees of color heal and resolve negative emotions resulting from racially traumatic or harmful experiences that lead to conflict and ultimately high turnover in the organization.I welcome feedback.

As I read through your post, I wondered about how you weave in your role in medical education which puts you in a further place of credibility and this is through your peers who acknowledge your experience.
Something for you to consider is – with your USP, what are the main benefits of working with you? chunk up.
