KeymasterHere is a question to ponder, and once you’re done, post your answer in the forum:
What is the question or concern that if you ask and it is answered or resolved would take your NLP training to the next level?
Spend some time thinking of it, in terms of what YOU need to do, and what is missing in your set of skills now. When you’re done, post it in the forum.
As a result of your questions, we will develop more Projects to answer all your questions and concerns so we can assist you to make this happen. -

ParticipantWhy are statements made about the “science” of NLP, TLT, etc., without citing the research in the same article?

February 6, 2018 at 11:37 pm #1863
Adriana James
KeymasterCool question John.
What article do you refer to specifically? I can give you a general response, but without specifics, keep in mind that it is a generalized response.Let’s then start by defining science.
• According to Berkeley University (https://undsci.berkeley.edu/article/whatisscience_01):
“Science is both a body of knowledge and a process.” In NLP and TLT we have both a body of knowledge and a process by which we implement that knowledge to create change in behavior and emotional output.
• According to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science)
“Science (from Latin scientia, meaning “knowledge”) is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe.
In our case we are not talking about the outer universe “out there” but the inner universe, “in here”. however, there is a system, and an organization of the body of knowledge which is testable, and b y whcih we can make further predictions, called NLP and TLT. the body of knowledge for both is systematized for the replication of the results. We can predict and test that if we do a Swish Pattern or any other NLP or TLT technique in every language all over the world, and we apply it for the right negative state or behavior, and we follow a certain replicatable number of steps, we will get the same predictable result which is a change in behavior toward the desired outcome. We can predict that if we change a person’s values there will be changes in behavior following a certain pattern. We can predict that if we change the orientation of the Time Line, there will be changes in personality that again follow a certain pattern.
• Several other ways of defining science are to be found here: (http://www.dictionary.com/browse/science)
-systematized knowledge in general.
-knowledge, as of facts or principles; knowledge gained by systematic study.
-a particular branch of knowledge.
-skill, especially reflecting a precise application of facts or principles; proficiency. You can see then, how all these different ways of looking at science apply to the body of knowledge called NLP and Time Line Therapy(r).
In our case, we are talking about the science of the mind and its operations. As you already know and as we discussed during the Master Practitioner and Trainers Training, NLP is a compounded collection of scientific processes coming from linguistics (transformational grammar) which is a soft science, nevertheless a science, psychology (another soft-science), hypnosis (utilized as part of psychology), and other behavioral sciences in general. It is not a hard science where we use formulas and algorithms, as human beings are not computers (yet), and it is not oriented toward outer nature or the universe as in the external world. Nevertheless a soft science is still a science. TLT is an offshoot of NLP, and utilizes in a systematic and organized way the knowledge of the linear time organization in the mind. Therefore, as you may remember, many times we refer to both NLP and TLT as an “art and a science” the art part being the application of a technique to a particular individual, depending of the person with whom you are working on in a coaching interaction or training exercise as well as the selection of the right technique for the presenting coaching problem.
Just out of curiosity, if not called a science, what should they be called instead?

ParticipantOne of the things that I have bee asked during a couple of training sessions is, what is spirituality this has come up when we have been working on goal setting with the wheel of life. I explain this as a persons values and belief system or connecting to your higher self, I would like to be able to explain this in the terms of mind, body and soul. Advise around this would be very beneficial, my beliefs of spirituality is connecting to the higher self and are looking for a way of delivering this as not everyone is open to this belief.

ParticipantHi Lynn, this is how I explain the context of Spirituality to my students:
Have you ever heard someone say, “wow, that was a spiritual experience,” knowing there was nothing actually ‘religious’ or ‘spiritual’ about that experience? It’s basically the same thing. A breakthrough in this context can help someone reconnect to themselves and clarify their sense of ‘purpose’ in life. Remember that words (labels) can have more than one meaning, so do a meaning reframe :0)

KeymasterLynn, your question appears quite often in the NLP and TLT trainings. so, i will answer it, however, please ALWAYS keep in mind that your NLP, TLT, NLP Coaching and Hypnosis trainings MUST BE KEPT SEPARATE OF ALL SPIRITUAL MATTERS. Do not muddle the issues. If you discuss anything connected to spirituality in your NLP or TLT training, your students will be confused and think that NLP has to do with spirituality, which may have them renounce NLP and not learn it anymore. it is not fancy to learn how to think – they wrongly believe that meditation (or mindfulness as it is fancily called today) is the way you go, and without CRITICAL thinking, meditation can make you more UNconscious.
The link that is missing for most people is that NLP is the tool to get in control 1. of the conscious mind 2., the unconscious mind, 3. the connection and relationship between the two, and then 4. the connection with the Higher Self. Th HS provides the spiritual matter, the CM is the builder and the physical concrete results are the consequence. now, what are most people building? How are their lives? That’s the starting question we always begin with.
Now, what follows is for your understanding only and not to teach your students, because if you do, you’ll mingle NLP with spirituality which will make it unusable for your students.
No disrespect intended, but i haven’t found anywhere in the public arena, and i have more than 20 years of research and hard labor put into this (there is a lot of this in the very inner circle of secret societies) a real HOW to communicate and live the Higher Self purpose CONSCIOUSLY. there are npo teachings about this. That’s why we put this in the APEP training. It is not a process that happens overnight regardless of what you hear when people say when they talk about “i talked last night with my HS and my HS told me that the stock-market will go down….” Yeah! Sure! Firstly the HS does not “talk” in concepts. But OK! That’s another story. So, there is confusion and misconception about the HS. one more reason not to touch this subject in any of your NLP and TLT trainings. In order to even understand correctly what i just explained to you, one has to open up a VL 7 type thinking which happens for many people after the MP, if you teach it correctly. See here connection with NLP? Here is why: it is paradoxical. The paradox: You cannot NOT live anything but the HS direction IF you have a connection with your HS. that’s the good news. However, the CM has the right to go astray, and direct the UM through wrong thinking (in other words NON-critical thinking, and wrong beliefs decisions, negative emotions, etc). I said over and over again in many of my articles i published during time, and you may have heard me say this also in the training – negative emotions BIND ONE TO EARTH. Now, what is the frequency that we might think is connected to the HS? Gross, matter-like, or different? Think of NE, as being a lower frequency, more connected to matter, and positive emotions more higher frequency on the scale of matter to spirit. So TLT, just by allowing the release of NE , allows one’s consciousness to operate in another frequency. Does that mean that one is already operating in the HS range? No, not at all, but without this step, there is no chance of that happening.
Back to our paradox – we used to say that everybody was always connected to the HS, whether they were aware of this connection or not. It is not true nowadays, with the change in the whole frequency environment due to WiFI, ELF, EMF, etc. There are people who are disconnected or completely unaware of their connection, but this is another topic which i am not going to discuss here as it is part of APEP.
Can they be helped to reconnect? Yes! Is this part and parcel of NLP, and TLT? Not directly, therefore we do not talk about it in the trainings.
So, indirectly, by teaching your students how to think critically (which they DO NOT when they come in your training) and how to become aware (consciousness = awareness, remember?) as well as by releasing what keeps them stuck to lower frequency, your students DO develop their consciousness even if they are unaware of the process. Now spirituality is whatever one defines it to be according to the values level where one’s consciousness is situated.
In VL 2, spirituality is shamanic practices and shamanic magic. In VL 3 and 4 is whatever god or gods one believes in according to organized religion, or even some New Age system, fraternity, or secret or not so secret society one belongs to. In VL 5 spirituality is mostly the “god of science” as it is a very materialistic VL. Here the “scientists” would like to employ advanced physics to change the construction of the physical reality. They are trying to employ the thinking of VL 7, to create connections between parallel dimensions, etc., etc. by physics alone. adn gtbey are realtively successful. But something is ALWAYS missing. Human consciousness which includes FREE WILL. From VL 6, 7 and 8 perspective things begin to get more onto the personal consciousness as influencer in the creation of reality, then group consciousness which influences reality, and then we get to world humanity as a whole participation in the creation of future reality or possible realities. Now, if you think of it this way you can understand better the process that Tad and I have put online several years ago which if enough people do it, it will create just that! it is here: https://www.nlpcoaching.com/change-the-future/
So when someone asks me this question, i say, let’s not worry now about consciousness, and about spirituality, is whatever you define it to be for YOU. And that would be the extent of the conversation i have about spirituality, until i get to Master Practitioner and if i get lots of questions and if i have time, i do the talk about APEP which i label very carefully as being outside of the NLP. even there i do n ot define spirituality for them it is an individual thing. -

BlockedMy biggest work on is defining my niche for my trainings and also coaching (even though I know the question is directly related to running trainings).
Do you have a structure or something I can work through to get more clarity on this? I understand it needs to be a market (of people) or a problem that group is facing, and identify the problem and promise I am able to deliver. I am getting closer and closer but I would also like a better strategy to define it so I can also coach my students on this faster. Andy advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

KeymasterShort answer: Yes. This is the defining difference between the old MT program and this forum containing the step-by-step projects. Thought the projects we are helping you to define the niche (a project about how to define this coming up shortly). So, the more clearly redefined the group/needs/niche you are appealing to the better the results. And we defined and clarified this specifically through the projects we designed. I am sure they will help you tremendously to achieve your goal. Please see also my reply to Cameron. You’re also a fast go-getter. Fast learner, fast implementer and can work at light-speed. But from my perspective, I have to make an average of speed with which the participants in the MT program work, so I cannot post all the projects at once. Plus, going deeply into each and every one of them, even if you have done this before, makes a re endows difference in your clarity of your projections. As much as this notion may look like more of a metaphysical issue, I promise you – it is not. It is of a immediate practical application. So, please be patient with me, I am posting projects as fast as I can see a majority of participants getting there. I just would like to get more FB from them, as I get from you so I know better where they all are.

ParticipantThank you Adriana lots to think about here, and thank you for such a detailed response I can see why you say to keep this separate. My trainings to date have been around leadership to corporate Senior teams and goal setting being a part of this training, not spirituality however it is a consistency that keeps being asked. The one thing that resinates well with me well is spirituality is what ever it means to the individual.
Thank you

ParticipantI agree with Judy in terms of niching and to add to that, my largest struggle at the minute is getting in front of the “right” people and having that consistency to regularly attract them.
I have looked at my past experience and careers to identify an area to focus on, which is giving me much better response. However I am still learning and working out the best way to approach this.
I guess in short the question and concern is how can I get in front of my target market more easily and efficiently as I don’t have an existing data base to work from.
I am in three different networking clubs plus doing my own phone calls, so things are happening….. just slowly.
Thanks

KeymasterOne of the projects coming has to do with defining your niche. As i advised in Project 1b, for ideas check Marketing NLP Training Manual pages 36-38. we’ll get there together anyway, but if you want to get ahead, here is where you can start. Another has to do with how to do networking that succeeds. Another with defining your preferred customer. These have to be done in a specific structure. See, networking, for example, is not necessarily about direct sales, although it can lead to sales. I have a file which I will post once we get there, which shows you specifically how to netowork to success, but one thing you need to remember Cameron, (and this is also part of the projects): this business is eventually still based on one thing and one thing alone: prospecting, sales = closing. Even this aspect we took into consideration very heavily, so you’ll learn to do this without fears, and without apprehension. I am clear that this is one of the biggest hurdles our very knowledgeable and intelligent graduates face today. This is because nobody teaches people how to think about it or strategies on how to go about doing it successfully. There is so much reluctance and rejection of sales because selling techniques have been applied ON people in an out-of-integrity way for decades and they are still applied today through the data-mining-new-technologies. So there is no surprise there, however, selling yourself and your product (I.e. Your trainings) does not have to be that way. Together we’ll go through that and if you follow the steps, you’ll come out the other end not only with a solid understanding on how to do this, and the strategies, but with the comfortable feeling that will project onto your potential customers. They’ll be comfortable with you while you’re selling them your trainings and if it is for them, they’ll be happy to spend their money with you because they see the value of what you are offering. I hope this makes some sense. I know we have not done those projects just yet, and I know you’re a fast learner and want to go with light speed – but they’re coming. I am going as fast as I can, but, as in trainings, not all the participants in the MT trainer program work at the same speed as you do.

ParticipantThanks Adriana, and to date my biggest ongoing lesson is to slow down and do the steps….. properly and clearly. Also the second biggest learning is the awareness that often these steps need to be done, redone and then modified and continually maintained and constantly updated.
It’s a journey and a process. Have the goal learn to love the journey.
These may sound like wise words, however I am still learning them myself.
Biggest learning for everyone coming from a past electrician. “Life is not a light switch moment where we learn something flick a switch and it’s done. The light needs constant power and care to ensure it stays lit”

ParticipantHi! Great posts and learnings from everyone.
My question (s) that once resolved would take my NLP trainings to the next level is whether I pay enough attention to what I need to do and put in enough effort or smart effort to make it successful. Also not sure I am completely aware of all the things I need to do or I need to change in the way I think or take action and what is the best way to gain this awareness…the first thing that comes to my mind would be to take action and see what happens or take action with a precise purpose and intent but don’t have a clear response yet.
From a skills perspective I believe I need to become more knowledgeable in social media marketing and advertising. Also how to build my website…I understand there are free tutorials or trainings on Udemy etc. so I guess will just use that.
Net net how to take away the feeling of being overwhelmed as I need to manage a day job,do trainings transcripts, getting clients, doing advertising, creating a website, kids and other parts of life in between all that. Thank you!-
February 14, 2018 at 5:18 pm #2029
Adriana James
KeymasterYes, taking action is the issue. BUT … Taking action is a very big picture. What does “taking action” mean? See, for me this is self-understood. But looking at the results our graduates had in previous years, I got that it is not c,ear to everyone. So therefore I chunked down this “taking action” in – so far- 64 steps (the projects). These steps are all part and parcel of taking action. If they are correctly understood and mastered, then the whole “taking action” becomes much easier, in fact it becomes a fact of life in a results producing business rather than a …”hmmm…how do I do that? Or what do I do now? Or how do I do X? ”
And yes, it can be overwhelming at times, but hey, who does not get overwhelmed? Last Sunday, I worked nonstop from 7 am to late evening. Everything came at me all at once, and it was Sunday. But here is the deal, and this is why I asked you to do your values and find the bigger picture of why you’re doing this, the bigger picture that drives you beyond just making a business. If you operate out of that (which is actually your life path) then overwhelm is just one of those things that happens from time to time, and you still do all you need to do. It’s not a job, it’s a passion, it’s your purpose, and no obstacles, overwhelm, difficulties can ever stop you. Now I have given you the reason as to why we started this way in the projects. Trust me, we’ll get to the nuts and bolts of everything.
As for the website, Word Press is the easiest method I found to set up a website. There are tons of tutorials, videos and info you can find if you have to do it yourself. I am directly involved in WP for our websites, and I do a lot of stuff myself. just because you don’t have a webmaster, or a person directly involved in building your website, does not mean you cannot do it. It’s more work. But once you understand the working of what you want on your website, then you can surely pay someone else to do it, and they’ll do what YOU want rather than you having to accept what they think it is right for you. Makes sense? So your effort of understanding how to set up your website will pay off in the long run even if you’re not going to do the legwork.

ParticipantHello
All of the above comments are very interesting. When thinking about the evidence based science and my participation in research projects; my masters degree was a pilot project followed by a manualized program. As Adrianna states, its about whether you can consistently show that what you have developed can be replicated with similar results. Just a comment however NLP Time Line Therapy(r) from my early experience certainly does fulfill the criteria of reliable replicable results.
Spirituality is also another area that I need to make a firm boundary between and thank you Adrianna for your comments that I will use as a guide for my trainings and questions around spirituality.
Thanks everyone!

ParticipantHello !
Thank you Adriana&everyone for sharing your thoughts. I already learned and took action after your previous posts and received information.
The question was:
”What is the question or concern that if you ask and it is answered or resolved would take your NLP training to the next level?”
– I want to find my niche the most suitable for me – and to focus on that; for ex: I like especially Hypnosis and working with the energy – to discover new way to earn energy instantly,
– To discover the right strategies for my public target ;
– To improve my public speaking ability and to memorize better
I am a balanced woman, I like sports, I like to ride bicycle, do gymnastics, keep me in good shape, almost every day, I have homework with my daughters, etc
And in the same time, I want ”to enjoy the journey”, to share light all around me.
I am looking forward for all the new interesting projects!
Thank you!

KeymasterHi Miha, I get all your goals. The niche, the strategies for public target, the public speaking ability (which will only increase once you start doing presentations as the trainer state will, kick in automatically when you a r win front of a group) are all taken care of by the projects. In fact, if you read one of my answers to another participant in the forum you’ll see that the next project already takes you into the niche issue. But in your posting I still don’t get the question, because….there isn’t one. If inferentially you expect me to guess what is your question…I don’t! I don’t do guess work! This is neuro-LINGUISITC stuff, so if you want an answer to a question… Well, all you haveto do is, ask it! ??

KeymasterMiha, (and everyone else), I just posted an answer to Cristina’s question which applies to all of you – of course of you’re serious about this business. Read it. You may think the projects 1-3 are something you’ve already done, or something you don’t need to do again or something which is not connected with your start in business. If you do think this way, you’re confused. We do this every year, and sometimes even 2x/year. If you think this way you’re missing the point. If we are to discuss and give you step-by-step intrusions on how to find your preferred niche, how to find your preferred customer, how to do successful networking, how to to successful marketing, how to close a sale, etc., you can’t get there without first doing these projects. I don’t see you in the forum although I can see who’s logging in and when. I asked you to participate in the forum – this means, I want to interact with you and you tell me where you are in the projects and how is it going. Without feedback from you I cannot help you no matter how much I try.
So I want to see you here interacting and posting so I know where you are, what challenges you encounter, and how to advise you.
So, Miha, do the first projects. Have you done them already? What are your values? I have not seen them. So I don’t know if they are suitable for business. You ask me how to start. But doing your values and realistinc goals. By finding the reason for which you want to do all this. So, get going. Transcribing the NlP in Buiness is good, but how are you going to put people in front of you? How are you going to know who do you want there? Because you DON’T want everybody. No, you don t. How are you going to find the people who are most interested and most likely to become your customers. Transcribing the CDs is extremely important but just by doing that process, it will not bring business to your door. Business = customers, and implies marketing and sales. -

ParticipantHi Adriana,
Thank you. You are right, as always :).Indeed it is a learning curve from shared experience…so we all learn and support each other.
I felt that I was not prepared to have a training until I didn’t know well what & how I would sell (i’m talking about the knowledge and process of closing sales)
Regarding my values, I moved the value No 3 to the second one , and the hierarchy of values became:
1) Challenge & passion (excitement, motivation, the desire to helping people to become their best version, networking)
2) Success (extend my data base, sales, finding my suitable niche…
3) Money (getting results from sales, rollovers)
4) Freedom (free time for myself, travel)
5) Inner peace(satisfaction, silence in my head)I will revert shortly with my realistic business goals; I still have to connect some dots and put together pieces of puzzle pieces……
Looking for your advice on the above,
Miha -

ParticipantThe question that I ask myself daily is How can I best tap into my knowledge of NLP to utilise it daily when I’m speaking with prospects, coaching my clients, marketing my business and doing life?
Right now, in terms of my business, I am having a lot of contact with cold leads so part of my development is upskilling in the areas that will help me convert more cold leads into warm & hot, and closed business. This year my focus is on increasing my sales skills, my NLP skills and my marketing skills. Right now I’m doing 515 cold calls per week minimum and between 15-20 sales calls from new leads. So the challenge isn’t getting leads it’s getting more from the same number of contacts AND then making sure the prospect shows up for the call.
This is where I want to bring out my NLP training to increase the conversion rate of cold calls to sales calls to closed business.

Adriana James
KeymasterAnswer: by better defining your goals and your preferred customer.
As to the second paragraph, you may be one of the very few people who are not afraid of cold calls, and contacting prospects. In project 4 we have discussed (Steph and Shay have written very good and insightful posts) the necessity of defining your preferred clients characteristics with precision and with specificity. The clearer YOU are who you want to work with and who you don’t want to work with the easier the cold calling process becomes. The sifting through becomes just a process and you will notice less consumption of your time and energy. Please remember that you have only these two commodities: time and energy. Your projections are much cleaner if in your mind your definition of your preferred customer is made with well established boundaries. I hope this makes sense.

ParticipantI am good at getting myself in front of the right people. I am regularly giving presentations at various business fairs and networking organisations, and getting regular exposure to the right sort of people for NLP Trainings. When I present I can often see people lighting right up and I talk with these people afterwards and in the coming weeks.
I think the thing that I would most like to learn is getting across the potential benefit or value to different types of people who are unsure if it would be good for them, and closing them into committing to a training or coaching package. I experience lots of people getting right up to the commitment fine but not making that last action effectively. Up to that point I thought they were high probability clients, and they were saying they wanted to do it. Others just go smoothly through the process. Is it just a number game and I am not hitting enough numbers?

KeymasterMarc, remember that you cannot be everything for everybody. So, as you have already spotted correctly, the more you define who you want in front of you, the better your exults are. You cannot convince people who cannot be convinced. You can reframe them, and some will want to be reframed. But some won’t. And those are not your high probability clients. Remember that only about 20% of the people you talk to will be high probability clients. Spend your time and energy on those.

ParticipantDear Adriana,
Within years (since 2010), I have done massive personal and spiral development in relation to mind, body & spirit in both English & Chinese, which means, I have installed lots of information in my head, some can be in conflict with one another (different value level teaching for example).
I want to teach all NlP techniques but I also want to embed some spiritual material in my teaching, as I have learnt, especially in China, NLP can be added in different flavors by different individuals. However, I read one of your post, you mentioned spirituality is to be taught separately. Your words are “your NLP, TLT, NLP Coaching and Hypnosis trainings MUST BE KEPT SEPARATE OF ALL SPIRITUAL MATTERS. ”
Could you please explain more? Am I able to stick to traditional NLP teaching but still add some personal creativity? If the answer is Yes, what would be the best approach?
Your kind reply is very much appreciated.
With love and gratitude

KeymasterLinda, if you remember I talked about this in TT. If you mix anything (anything at all, especially spiritual teachings) with NLP, TLT, etc. you will confuse your students beyond repair. They will think that NLP and TLT is something that it is not. All students that have tried this in the past have failed because of this reason they did not understand. NLP and the other technologies we teach have to do with the training of the mind. As I said in the trasncript to Zoom Webinar No. 1 at the very end, the spirit is the source, the mind is the tool and the body (physical world) is the result. If you mix spiritual stuff with the training of the mind, you will confuse the mind even more than it already is. You mix two areas which are not to be mixed for many, many reasons man of them being spiritual. I am not going to get into those her, as I teach them in APEP, and it will take me about 2 days to explain. These are also beyond the purpose of this forum.
You may be very hot on spiritual stuff, but not everyone else is. In the market place for about 40 years now, NLP has a certain position. People think about NLP in a certain way. The market place is already formed. You cannot change it. Around the world, NLP is recognized as having to do with the mind, change in behaviors, strategies, values, linguistics, etc. It is not and has never been designed for spirituality. Because it has nothing to do with that. You can teach spiritual stuff to your heart’s content, only not in the same training with NLP, TLT, NLPCoaching and Hypnosis trainings. Do a separate training for what you want to teach which is not NLP. It will only ad to your profit center, although there is no rollover possibility out of that one.
To mix it is 1. To confuse what is NLP and what is it not and 2. To miss the point. By learning how to control the mind, one will develop consciousness by developing awareness of themselves and here is the whole secret of spirituality. Soirituality is not “out there” it is “in here”. Most people heave no clue about themselves. They have no clue what they really feel, they are incongruent and incoherent. Most people subscribe to a spirituality delivered to them by systems including the New Age type. They think that meditation alone gives them spirituality … And they miss the point. Meditation is very beneficial, but the “translation” and the interpretation of meditative techniques is not developing coins counsels if the mind is muddled and confused and filled with crap. St “spiritual techniques” do not tell their follwers this very simple fact. And students miss the development of their minds as THE most important tool for developing consciousness.Dion Fortune, the great initiate of the 20th century said: “The study of the mind of God (spirituality) must be preceded by the study of the mind of man, because the mind of man and the mind of God are one and the same“. Read this again and think of it carefully because in this statement is the answer to your question.
So, just by teaching NLP, TLT, etc., you ARE assisting people to develop their consciousness. The more the mind is capable of clear and un-muddled thinking the better it can transduce consciousness. After you do this and they are already Master Practitioners, you can give them techniques for spirituality. And even then, do not mix those with NLP and TLT.
The more one is able to understand values levels, and deal with the challenges that keep them stuck back in the first 4 VL, the more once frees one’s mind and develop one’s consciousness. Please read and think carefully about what you read in the Values and The Evolution Of Consciousness book.

ParticipantThank you very much for your detailed explanation Adriana. It’s definitely makes sense. Will teach accordingly. Since New Age teaching is extremely popular in China at the moment and I am aiming for the China market, but yes, to teach separately is the way to go. Level 5 is the next level of Level 4 anyway. Some of Chinese spiritual teachers are indeed in level 6/7, however their students are in level 4 no question.
I like this ‘The study of the mind of God (spirituality) must be preceded by the study of the mind of man, because the mind of man and the mind of God are one and the same.” by Dion Fortune.
Very much appreciated.

ParticipantThe question I believe that ultimately needs to be answered is, Why am I so adverse to technology? Why I have so much resistance when it comes to getting on the computer and getting work done. I have so much I need to do and that isn’t even talking about writing my book. This is a question I have really been contemplating. I have discovered that one reason is because I’m best with people and people problems. The computer/phone/laptop IPad etc is cold and unfeeling and therefore gives nothing back. It used to be also because my poor eyesight but that is much better now. I also feel like I should Know the answer and blame myself for not being able to figure it out. I have done parts integrations, TLT, energy work, affirmations, hypnosis, basically anything I can think of and yet the problem remains. I believe if I knew how to resolve this problem nothing could stand in my way. Its my greatest weakness. Well, that and I also dont fully trust anyone to do it for me. I am striving to resolve THAT at least and making headway yet still a tremendous amount of resistance remain in even this, and its just building a website. A goal I haven’t accomlished since I set it LAST YEAR I’m afraid to admit. Well that’s it, That’s my question. I WILL keep searching for a resolution.

KeymasterVeronica, you need to chunk down. You are approaching the problem from too high of a chunking level.
So let’s take it slowly.
1. Technology is here to stay. Whether we like it or not, it’s not an option. I admit, the crazies in the Sylicon Valley push technology on all of us whith a speed that is unprecedented. The younger generation cannot fathom life without technology. Refusing to adapt to the new environment is not the solution in my view. Of course, you always have a choice. You can simply continue to proceed without it but this will reduce the pool of people you could affect positively and assist.
Let me tell you a little story. Last year we did an APEP training in Guatemala, and next to the hotel where we were, it is this little Mayan town. About 15,000 people. Many still live in mud huts, little houses where the whole (large) family sleeps in the same room. By all standards these are poor people. But they are all having an IPhone or an Android device or another form of a “smart” device, and are on FaceBook and other social media. They think that FB IS the internet. So, technology is pushed on everyone around the world.
Now is technology bad in and of itself? I don’t think so. It allows people to connect with any other person in the world anywhere at any time. Therefore…
2. Change your values, and put “using technology for my advantage” as a value, and also do some SMD shift and put technology (specifically for each piece of technology you abhor now) in the SMD’s of liking. Basically it is a like to dislike.
3. What specifically about technology is that turns you off? The fact that it is a big unknown for you? Maybe you simply need to spend a weekend to learn basic things about how to use it. I don’t know, I am just mind reading and please allow me to be wrong as I am guessing.
4. I teach trainings on line (the Trainers Trainjng with Japam is done online). I don’t see this a cold and non-rewarding. It is true – and this is important – it is not an instant reward as it is when you see the person’s face, physiology and you get a hug at the end. So it is a little deferred satisfaction or better said, it is in another modality. It does not imply any kinestetic touch and it relies mostly in V, A and Ad. But the connection is the. More and more face to face relationships are disappearing. I didn’t lime this more than you, but it is the triumph of the world in which we live. But in my case, I hallucinate the K based on the visual cues I see on the screen. Tad and I have done quite a few sessions of coaching online using Skype. And it worked as good as live, face-to-face. If we did not have technology, most likely we would not have had the clients as they were unwilling to fly to us, and surely we would not have the training in Japan as we are not flying there because of the radiation due to Fukushima event from 2012.
5. The website. You can ask someone else to do it for you and teach you the basics of how to use it. Nowadays setting up a website is far less complicated than in the past. You can exchange services so you don’t have to pay cash. Usually a younger person will have no problem with that as technology is part of their world. They did not grow up without it as our generation.
6. There is just one way to be ok with technology and there is no way around this. You have to learn to use it. If you are shy because of your lack of knowledge – bite the bullet and spend some time to learn. In the past I built a house for us. I had no clue about architecture, or how to even begin to think about building a house. I bought a software program called Chief Architect which comes in different versions: for beginners, intermediate and professionals. I started with the beginners version, I went online and got lessons in how to use it (everything is on YouTube including on how to use Word Press to set up your website) and before I knew it, I upgraded to professionals. I learned how to use the software and it did not allow me to make mistakes. I built a whole house on that program, and when I went to the engineers to check my plans, everything was perfect. Learning the program has allowed me to proceed with a project that would have costed me tons of money (architects are not cheap) and I built it the way I wanted it not the way someone else wanted based on their thinking about what I should need.
7. If you are not going for it, it is not in your values. This is why I suggest you change your values and put this values in your business values, or even in your personal development becaue when you learn something new, it affects your whole sense of personal development. It improves YOU. When computers came about, I was still in Romania. To understand how the programs work, I set up to make something fun and I asked and asked questions and learned basic computer programming and made a game with a little ghost who was dwelling and scaring people in a house. I made that game. After that I was not afraid of computers anymore. Tad has done the same prOcess only differently. He has built a computer from component parts to learn how it works because until them it was this big unknown and he was reluctant to use it. So, there is no way around it – to like technology you need to be willing to understand it at least to a level where you can use it for your benefit. I am not saying build yourself a computer or learn computer language. That’s useless for your purposes. But you can lean how to create a website because all info is on the web, just type in a search engine “how to make my own website using Word Press” and you’ll get to tones of explanations and videos that can show you everything you need to know. The quicker you make your website, the easier is for people to find you. Plus, once you learn technology, you can be more connected to people than without it.
In a few days (I hope) we’ll have the app belonging to the forum up and running. Meaning you will just have an app, you don’t even have to login to the website to see the posts and to respond. That is technology that helps all of us to stay connected and help each other.
Anyway, of course this is all up to you. I hope I could help a little with your thinking even if I have just mind read your real issue. If I am wrong… Let me know. Please also let me know how else I can help. I am here to support and assist you as much as I can. This NLP community of likeminded people I am trying to build would not be possible without technology. Just know that the forum is here for exactly this purpose. Ask whatever you need, talk to us, otherwise you’ll be feeling like you’re on your own. I know you’re self -reliant but you’ll still be self-reliant. I am not going to do the work for you. But me, and Laura, and all the other folks participating, can support each other. We all have the same issues and problems. We are all human beings – not robots…just yet! ?
I would suggest that you watch every video and read every article I and other people have posted under Videos and Aritlcles of Interest. Although many times unpleasant, it opens your mind to things that you need to know.
Be well my friend. -

ParticipantProduct development
I need to fully understand and develop the value proposition, of what I do/offer, to corporates, and package it up as a leadership/professional development coaching product. When I have this, then there will be no reason for me not to start cold sales etc. (as opposed to the value proposition for my personal therapy clients)Become fluent in communicating, easily and efficiently my value proposition for corporate organisations and corporate people.
(I have been in-efficient with my time, by developing or pondering on this across all areas and for ALL people (niche required), and by doing this project, it has reinforced for me, that my niche is the corporate sector – people who like me in the past, tried to have it all, and yet found themselves struggling and/or unhappy, and their career did not take off as easily as it could have.)

KeymasterAlso I wanted to add to my previous reply to you. Go though the projects, and as you get to the finding your niche really do the action items. It will help you tremendously in what you need to accomplish.
Go though all the projects one by one and your thinking about the value proposition and the packaging (which is actually your marketing and advertising) will become clearer and clearer. This is why we take it one by one in the projects. To clarify all these issues: first in your mind and then, as a result, it will become easier to develope a plan of action. -

My questions have been pretty much covered, like Lynn above I get the spiritual question quite a bit and thank you Adriana for the great reply to now be able to address this . I have also struggled with my niche but am also working on defining that part of my business currently.I guess the only thing I may ask is how do you put yourself out there with all the noise on social media (the hype) how do I stand out with what I do I believe that going thru all these project will help and I will find my way in due course.
thank you

KeymasterHi Sandra, here is my answer.
1. You tell the truth. The truth about how you are and what you do…however….
2. Use all the linguistic patterns for marketing in the Marketing NLP training for everything you post. Use key words that define your differentiation point, and advantage. That’s why doing the room efts helps you to define clearly inside your head who you are and what you stand for including your niche. The clearer you are the better your projections. And with the help of intelligent language get of your target adds and posting you will literally attract the attention of those you want to communicate with inside your preferred area.
3. Be smart and do not claim things which could turn against you.
4. Use the Hidden Magical Language techniques again for your marketing to smoke out the garbage polluting the information available on social media and stand out from the noise.
Understand that these are just techniques and they can be used (and are used) to sell all sorts of things some of which are really not good for people. You can use the same techniques because they work only to sell something that’s actually helping people (I.E. Your products and services – coaching and training).
But in general, people who are truly searching for ways to improve their business, personal lives, etc. will not fall for BS but go for something that resonates with them. This is why the truth is always penetrates through the noise.
I hope this helps a little. Let me know if you have any other questions – I am always happy to answer them.

ParticipantSandra telling others what NLP and TLT have done for you is a great way to explain the benefits. Piggy backing on what Adriana has also said, your enthusiasm and your congruency about what you do will allow others to feel that what you’re offering them is NOT BS. Giving metaphors about what others have achieved with NLP/TLT in addition to your personal experience helps. Especially the point that Adriana mentions about being smart about making claims that can be turned against you. For example something I would share with a potential client that is a ‘safe’ claim “I did an 8-hour breakthrough with a client on relationships as a result she got completely clear on how she will attract a healthy fulfilling relationship in her future, she took all the positive learnings from her previous abusive relationship and now is 100% congruent in choosing a partner who will be a loving and supportive partner. 6 months after her breakthrough she let me know that as a result of all the work we did on her past the symptomology of her chronic back pain completely disappeared! She knows that the work we did together helped her create miracles in her life on all levels.”
An example of a claim that can turn against you (what NOT to do!!!): ” I did an 8-hour breakthrough and healed my client’s chronic back pain.”
There are different ways for you to showcase what you do that will allow others to draw conclusions about the possibilities of “healing” in their life without you making claims that could have less than positive results for you. Social media Hype as you said above may draw people in, but unconsciously people might not believe it because it is used so often. Use the truth and highlight it in different ways for people to see how it will benefit them when they come and train or coach with you 🙂

Also how do I market my trainings, seminars and coaching packages?

I will be watching yours with great interest, Sandra.-

KeymasterIt is actually very, very simple. NLP IS YOU and YOU ARE NLP. You don’t have to tap into anything.
You study it and incorporate it to the point to where you cannot not be and do NLP.
Remmmber i said this many, many times in the training – thee is no substitute from knowing your material. And the easiest way to incorporate it is to teach it. Once you teach it, it becomes you. Otherwise, just with the manual in your lap and reading it, it won’t become cemented in your behavior (i.e. it won’t become YOU).About intros, check your TT manual. I will be posting soon a new project called : “How to do an intro that works”

July 4, 2018 at 2:47 pm #3208
Adriana James
KeymasterExactly Marc. This is because the THINKING becomes different. I am saying this in every training I teach nowadays: Mind is the tool which consciousness uses to create. It can be your greatest friend or your greatest enemy. If YOU don’t control its functions somebody else will.
It is not only to link the questions to NLP and TLT based solutions, but automatically your thinking and mind processes work differently from the average mind set.
We can look at it from several distinct points of view:
– The higher centers of the brain become more active (neocortex VS limbic responses)
– Cognitive left-right brain integrations
– VL 7 mind-set
– Increased self-esteem as who you are and what you know (do) leading again to less emotional knee jerk response (limbic system = UM)
– Increased awareness and consciousness
– Navigating with ease up and down the hierarchy of ideas from abstract to specific.
– Ability to connect dots and analogically pull information from other contexts to form an apt analogy rather than an inept one
– Permeability throughout all areas of life
– Initiating mot reacting
– Higher emotional states where the neocortex takes over and constantly generates positive emotions
– Multi-track (multi-dimensional) thinkingAnd the list could go on and on….

ParticipantI just finished TT so the concern I have is of course, what am I going to do? So far, the projects provided here have been just what I need. I need to know everything.. how to market, sell, and build my business. And I need to know how to do it part-time while I prepare to quit my job on June 5th, 2019. I need to know how to prime the pump, so to speak, so that come June, I have income coming in that I will lose from my job.
The questions I haven’t yet asked are answered in the projects. How to close a sale? Has been a big question for me and right off the bat, Project 1: changing my values changed my time line, my personality (to through time), and I got a big sale.
I get up at 4:45am, commute to the gym, work out, shower and then go to work. I do have a 1-hour commute after a full day of work, I find that I am wiped out when I get home, after a bathroom break, and a snack.. I don’t have a lot left for the business. Yet there is a small office I can rent halfway home that I can work from without getting home yet.. before I’m completely wiped. I pass it everyday.. so I would be pulled to stop and work daily, instead of driving all of the way home.
I have the income from my job to cover the office, does it make sense to rent an office to make phone-calls and business from, and to meet 1-1 clients, if I don’t yet have a lot coming in? If so, should I rent a micro size office good for 1-1’s ($450 mo) and calls or a medium size that I can do a training for up to 6 people in for 9$650/mo)

ParticipantOne of my outcomes is, in addition to offering NLP Prac and Master Prac in English, to offer these programs in Spanish. My question is whether there are translated materials, of the NLP Prac, Master Prac, audios or TLT®, and if so, the specific source to acquire them for adaptation. Otherwise, I have already transcribed the audios for NLP Practitioner and will proceed to edit and record our own version, followed by translating the manuals.

KeymasterHi Mario,
Your outcome is great. There is high need for a high quality translation in Spanish. However, I would like to point out to you that the recordings and the manuals are copyrighted material in most countries of the world. We do have a copyright and trademark valid for all the manuals and recordings. So we need to talk about this before you proceed.
Please contact me to discuss the issue. You can use info@nlpcoaching.com as a contact email.

ParticipantHi Adriana
I have been in Management positions for the last 15 years and have always had to have have answers to problems that people have asked me. So the biggest outcome now for me, is learning how to listen to the client and guide them to finding the answer within themselves, without me telling them what to do. It’s a very fine line. The other thing is just learning how to trust in the process to achieve the desired outcomes and becoming confident in utilising the tools i now have.
Everytime i see a client, I come away with a new learning of what I could have done better or what i didnt do but should have and this makes me feel like i have let the client down in some way. -

Adriana James
KeymasterFocus, Marty, focus. What is you focus geared toward? What worked or what did not work or what could have been done better?
Sure, we all could do better at times, and we should incorporate the learnings and the FB from the client. Absolutely! But here is the question:
Did you do the best you could in THAT moment?
If the answer is yes, then you’ve done your best and this is what counts. Next time you learn out of your last experience and do more and better. So don’t focus on what you could have done better, but on next time and how are you going to do better and more complex.
The learnings you get as a result of working with a client are then incorporated into the “next time”. They are incorporated in your mind and consciousness. But of course! This is how it works. That’s why I said in the trainings that you grow as you work in this field and it is never an end to it.
So keep going. You’re doing fine.
You ARE doing it. You AREA a taking action. You don’t sit on the fence waiting to get better before you proceed. And that’s what counts.
I promise you, even if you think you did not do so well, you did much better compared to other people who are in coaching but don’t know NLP and TLT.
The question is always, with what you did is the client satisfied? If they are, you have delivered. If not, call them back and do a clean up and a follow up session. -

ParticipantHow can I spark a lot of interest in NLP and have people feel they need the training! (in a smallish town in NZ where NLP/Coaching is not very big in the market YET, slowly building for sure)
Also I find that a lot of people are attracted to “how much experience do you have?” (especially because I’m 22, not that that’s a limitation). So for me coming across as an expert regardless of how much experience I have.
I know that I need to continuously be posting and promoting via social media and I know SALES, SALES, SALES, calling… Understanding what the client wants and selling them in a way that will capture them. Working on it!

Adriana James
KeymasterWhat you describe about “how much experience do you have” leads nicely in you having to think carefully about your niche. Watch the Zoom webinar (posted in the forum called Zoom webinars related to this) and do the project about your nice. There is a large niche for you with the younger generation which needs someone of the same age and shares better their thoughts and problems with someone young than an older person. Some of the things you will encounter are the problems of entitlement and “easy everything”. impatience, confusion about future, nihilism, hedonism, and so forth. all are solvable by a thorough break-through session and as yo7u do these, you will find new learnings for yourself. Marty in his post described this issue, but it’s all very good as you grow while doing good work for others.
So, target your audience carefully.
You need to start somewhere. and if you get clients, ask them for referrals.
Also create for yourself a bunch of sleight of mouth reframes to answer immediately when you have such an objection. -

I followed up with the client and they said they havent missed a beat all last week and feel so much better. so YES, I see it as my limiting belief that I’m falling short on my delivery as a practitioner. KeymasterI wrote about this in another answer to a forum participant but the main idea is to start with defining on a piece of paper the qualities of your ideal customer.
Who do you want? You don’t want everybody – if you remember I said this both in MP and in TT.
So the clarity begins in your defining the type of customer you want.
Then your advertising, PR, networking (there is a project dedicated to this and a video I made also for this purpose), who you talk to, is all geared toward this type of person. You formulate the adds you place from the simplest FB ad to more, complex ones, and all your marketing toward this customer.
You look around at industries that reflect that type, and then you focus on those. -

ParticipantAs Adriana has said, you definitely want to define this on a piece of paper.
I have difficulty just sitting down and creating things on paper, so I do a bit of imagination exercise first. This might help or not…
I think of all the times that I was so excited, and fulfilled, and on fire, and in love, and capable with the work I do….then I think about who were the clients or types of clients I was helping when I was in this peak state…or what types of problems was I helping clients to solve at this time. (side note: even if you’ve never gotten paid to do this type of work yet, you’ve had experience coaching…we all have if we’ve attended Prac and MP.)
Then I capture the essence of the client/clients and the problems and work with that.
Then I write an exhaustive (chunk down) list of all the qualities that made these clients special to me in the context of the work I love to do..I remember every detail about what I loved in our interaction. Then from that, is a profile of my ideal client. Once I am clear on that my UM gives me a signal when I’m in the vicinity of an ideal client…even if I’m just having a convo at Whole Foods or listening to my Spin Instructor at the gym.**Always make sure that your ideal client/customer list includes something about their ability to access or create finances to gladly pay for your services, this is an important detail to remember 😉 as well.**

ParticipantMy first project response…here goes…I have been entrusted for a number of years with the inner most thoughts of my peers and always felt an instinctive awareness of what strategies I can employ to assist them through their journey, backed up by a wonderful support network to call upon if needed. I initially desired to become a hypnotist to help others attending Tad James Hypnosis training. I am awe struck by NLP & TLT.
What do I need to do? Apply focus on defining my ideal client with a more narrow focus, and do not deviate from that focus. When I become more confident and skilled, broaden my focus to further develop my client and skills base.
What am I missing in my set of skills now? I have utilized my new NLP & TLT skills to work with people with presenting problems and witnessed positive personal development. More practical application is definitely required. I travel a little and carry my manuals around with me when I travel.
I am learning that every conversation with someone there is an underlying opportunity for the application of NLP & TLT. Thank you

ParticipantWelcome to the first project Caroline!
To the question ‘what do I need to do?’ I answer, get very clear as you go through these projects on what you want to do, with whom, where, how often, why…as you get clear on these points do not wait to take action, take immediate action on the ‘doing’ part of hypnosis and TLT and NLP…actually sometimes and also at the same time that you’re taking action, you’ll start getting clear on the who/what/where/why/how. For example if I asked myself ‘what do I need to do to get hypnosis to people?’ I would think of all the ways people seek or receive the benefit of hypnosis; attend a workshop, a certification training, a hypnosis session, a hypnosis mp3 track, meetup group for guided meditation, etc. Then I’d choose one that really excites me based on what I want to do (or combination thereof), example: a hypnosis certification training with keys for a person to be able to do guided meditation with their clients and a full hypnosis intervention as a result.
Now I can ask myself, what do I need to do?
The answers lie within the projects here, the support system we have here on the Master Trainer Forum, and the support staff at TJC.To the second question ‘what am i missing in my set of skills now?’ I would say, nothing…for right now or maybe forever. In whatever level of NLP, TLT, and Hypnosis that you are trained, you can successfully take action, get 100% positive results, and make a lucrative career. It’s a matter of focusing on EVERYTHING you DO have to start taking action and bringing these life-changing tools to the people you’d like to help the most, now.
What is advisable is honing your existing skills, deliver some workshops, some trainings, do coaching sessions; the more experience you have the more you realize that you have more than you’ll ever need to be successful in this field. And IF you ever would like to increase your knowledge or skill set in any finer structured niche then make that decision when you’re there….in the future.
As you’re gaining experience in the field by doing, you will be going through these projects to help guide you in business application, which is actually a new skillset!! So rejoice, if you like learning something new, it’s right here! 🙂Hope this helps! Welcome to the Forum again! 🙂

KeymasterSounds like a good meditation for you and a rhetorical question for me… however I will comment on a good way I have been able to keep the application process alive in my everyday living and interactions (the walk the talk lifestyle).
I set my goals and plans the evening before and mediate for direction and inspiration first thing in the morning; whatever theme ‘pops up’ in meditation I focus on that aspect and go the extra-mile in actions and consciousness that day. I notice what I notice and give myself feedback, journal it, video it, and use it in conversations and notice how I just went a little bit off my ‘normal’ routine.
I also notice the opportunities for self-coaching which is directed by my clients or friends or prospects. For example what themes am I coaching people on this week, over and over? What are people talking to me about this week?
How can I understand the metaphor of this projection, get the learnings for myself and apply this in my life for my growth so that I am ‘practicing what I preach’ everyday. -

ParticipantWonderful and potent feedback – inquiry!
I’ve been experiencing a more fundamental shift in my inner conversations / self-talk. For one, negative language has ‘yugely’ lessened. In it’s place, or underneath that is IRs that run which have some negativity. My goal is that my inner talk is simply generative and based on taking action. OR reflection on learnings.
I have a similar routine, but am taking some of your nuance to add to this.
And this! “How can I understand the metaphor of this projection, get the learnings for myself and apply this in my life for my growth so that I am ‘practicing what I preach’ everyday.” Yes!
Thank you. -

ParticipantMy question is really just a question for myself that I have been going in circles on for months now and doing parts integrations, values alignments, and other change work ad nauseum, so hopefully someone can smack some sense into me.
My question is when will I truly commit to building my coaching/training business? I have been sitting on the fence for some time because I feel this tremendous sense of responsibility to my family oil business, and we are in the process of raising money for 2 projects that will give us a solid economic base. That provides a strong economic platform for myself and my parents, and gives me the freedom to build my coaching/training business from a place of good old VL4-style financial security, again for myself and my parents. I want to know that my parents are well taken care of. So there is a lot of drive by guilt/duty/obligation. I’m also afraid of upsetting or disappointing my parents. I’ve done a lot of work on letting go of my strong external frame of reference, but have not been able to let it go. Something around fear of loss of love, or of losing my loved ones.
So I don’t feel good about pulling away from the family business and taking time out to build my NLP business, because it seems counterproductive to getting the oil business to the point of being self-sustaining. I have worked so hard for 8 years to build this company, and we are on the cusp of taking it to the next level, so devoting more time to NLP right now seems like slowing down right before the finish line. And yet the finish line keeps moving away and it keeps taking longer than I thought and hoped to raise the money. So I have myself in this treadmill/trap.
So I need to take action. When I start taking action I feel this tremendous resistance and I feel like I want to cry. Even though I have had some early success with coaching, I keep bumping up against this strong sense of inadequacy to be anyone’s coach or trainer, and I take rejection very hard. So making 20 completed calls a day sounds like an assignment to go stand in the UFC Ocatagon for an hour a day and get the stuff beat out of me. So as a result of all the above I have been avoiding the forum and have just been letting potential clients come to me if I happen to stumble across them in the course of my daily life, rather than marketing myself.
Obviously this is all coming from a major case of being at effect. At the effect of what? I have been racking my brain for months… really years to get to the bottom of this intricate network of binds that I have created for myself. And I am making progress at unraveling the network, but I’m the goldfish trying to see the goldfish bowl on this one… I’m not getting to the root of the problem. So I could use some help on this. I’ve even been wondering if I need to do a breakthrough with someone, which also seems ridiculous with all the training I have. So I’ve been trying to “be at cause” and handle it by myself.
So any thoughts would be greatly valued. Thank you!

KeymasterBut you said it yourself.
It is the family business which provides a KKPWN territory to work on. It is also the safety cushion of working with your family together – so you’re not alone, you don’t have to “make it ” or else.
If this is the case don’t force yourself. It would be counterproductive.
If I was you and o really wanted to do something in this area I would not think either-or but bothe/and.How could you work Monday to Friday in one place and sta with small seminars on th weekends?
As you describe it would be silly to give up a lucrative business position not to talk about an emotionally laden situation as you are together with your parents, and just start a bran new thing for which you feel resistance. I have to agree that being a small business owner comes with a lot of freedom but with a lot of problems as well. I said it as a joke in the TT but it is a,so true. In a small business enterprise you don’t make money, there is no food on the table. So my advice is to go through the projects – all of them, but one by one – without pressuring yourself to take action all at once.
The only problem I see is the sales part. That’s the age old abreaction to VL 5 sales. Even that can be overcome but take the pressure off.
Go to a convention or expo, have a booth there and talk to people without expectations of achieving anything. Don’t play a role. Just be you. You’ll be surprised to what can happen.
Come and assist at one of our trainings and learn to talk to people doing the 5 step sales process. We train the CA in how to do this. There is nothing for you to lose as it is not a personal rejection if someone says no to you.So work around in different ways to acquire the comfortable state where you don’t even think of sales as a difficult thing because you’re actually not doing sales. You’re doing coaching and trainings. It’s just a step in order to get clients and students. What you really get at that point (not intellectually, I know you already got that, but experienctially so it’s a run through the body experience) it that overcoming people’s objections is actually serving them. That’s the good feeling a good sales person needs to have in order to be good at what they do. Because it is not about the money. If you try to do sales only for the money it won’t work. Sure money exchange happens, but it not about the money. Not as I see it.
There are sales people that have only the money (commission) in mind when they do sales, but if they do it only for that the customer feels it and usually is turned off. These are your typical archetypal snake-oil-sale types that are indeed a turn off. Who likes that?
But if there is love and trust in the product you are selling, then you’re in a different place mentally and emotionally. It’s a service. It’s a benefit to them, they just don’t know it because they don’t have an experience of it.I hope this helps.

ParticipantThat helps a lot. Thank you!

Yep. Definitely. That is a big part of the fear… going out on my own/going it alone. And definitely a big safety cushion. And what is KKPWN?
How could you work Monday to Friday in one place and sta with small seminars on th weekends?
I can definitely do that. And breakthrough clients as well. Much more doable than taking a whole week out plus the prep time for a Prac right off the bat.
So my advice is to go through the projects – all of them, but one by one – without pressuring yourself to take action all at once. The only problem I see is the sales part. That’s the age old abreaction to VL 5 sales. Even that can be overcome but take the pressure off.
Yeah you hit on a big part of the problem: pressure and expectations of where I “should” be by now and where I “should” be a month, six months, a year from now. It’s kind of like I adopted a buy or die mentality, expect with the VL4 twist of “You buy or I die,” rather than “You buy or you die.” So it’s like “OMG… have to sell this person NOW… or else.” Or “OMG, have to schedule a Prac ASAP… or else.” So I love this idea:
Go to a convention or expo, have a booth there and talk to people without expectations of achieving anything. Don’t play a role. Just be you. You’ll be surprised to what can happen.
So taking the pressure off as you suggest and going at a pace that’s a little more than my comfort zone, but not in red alert territory, will make a huge difference. When I read, “no expectations,” part of me went “ahhhhhh… whew…. what a relief.” So it will help to just be ok with the way I’m making progress and going about things instead of trying to fit into some vague box of how I think I should be doing things.
Very helpful. Thanks again.

ParticipantHi all. I loved and fully agree with Adriana’s points. There is no need to fall into a binary option or between family business or coaching/trainings. I would just add to be patient. I suggest you to develop a plan with long term, medium term and short term goals. Make it fully compatible with the family business and time for yourself. You are young, there is no need to rush at all. And coaching business has no expiration time…and make sure you have fun and enjoy the process, stay in the present and live your current life fully, not too much in your head. And dig and work in the things you still have pending: You use a lot of keywords when you express, “I need”, “I should”,”I’ll try”…
You will do great Adam, just be patient 🙂 -

ParticipantThanks Alejandro and Adriana. Will check out that book, that looks great!
I will work on my short/medium/long term goals. I’ve been “trying” that from time to time but I keep missing the long term goals (the deadlines keep slipping further into the future), and perhaps I’m being to grandiose with them or overestimating what I can get done in a certain amount of time. So I fell back to just setting 1 daily goal per day to get in the habit of setting and achieving goals that I actually achieve in the desired time frame, so I can string together a series of successes and build momentum. This has been working well and is helping me get more realistic about what I can get done in a day, and from there I can go to weekly, monthly goals, etc.
As for expiration date with coaching… I do feel pressure given what’s going on in the world today and the ~20 years we have to turn things around. But to the extent that makes me freak out and abreact to selling, it’s obviously not serving me. So that’s something I’m working on… how to enjoy life and live life on my own terms knowing that there is a tsunami of dire challenges facing our planet. Being a source of order and coherence in the midst of the chaotic storm. That is a challenge for sure. My false narrative is “How can I be joyful when so many people are suffering and there is so much evil in the world?” And also concerned that if I just live my life fully and I’m happy then I’ll become complacent and ignorant about the problems in the world, because when I’m really living fully and happy I tend to focus my time and energy on solutions instead of problems. It’s like tra la la let me pretend everything is good and happy when really the sky is falling. So how to stay happy while looking the devil dead in the eye… staying up to date on evil’s latest movements and plans? How to be hopeful and optimistic AND realistic about the scope of the problems in the world, to know what really is before changing it?
Anyway sorry for all the at effect thinking but just want to break these patterns that I haven’t resolved on my own yet. It’s very helpful to get the reframes from outside my fishbowl.

It’s that moment where you make a decision to put into practice what you’ve learned.
It’s that moment that you say yes to your dream and heck no to your perceived limitations.
It’s that moment that you know you have everything you need and now you just have to get on the stage and open your mouth and trust your unconscious mind!Let me tell you (and make believe I’m looking in your eyes ~ I met you in TT AU so you know what I look like)

I feel lacking in clarity and know-how for approaching the sales side in a targeted and effective way.I am building up my view on why I am doing what I do, the impact I want to make and what I can bring to the table (my story). KeymasterThis is why the assisting program. There we teach you exactly how to sell your railings. While assisiting you get a real course with practical immediate application on this. Most people have trouble with selling – they’re over complicating the issue, and they don’t have the strategies in place to make out of sales a fun game.
Make sure you study and understand the 5 step sales process but once you wow this real well, assisiting is priceless because it is practical not only theoretical. So during assisting time, you install in you the strategies you then follow at home for your own business to achieve the same level of success. That’s how it works.

KeymasterHi Judith,
Here are my answers to your questions:1. I’m going to hold NLP Trainings, Hypnosis, TLT, Coaching training in Germany in German. Where can I get information on books, in German, I can give my students as required reading material? So that they are eligible and I fulfil the requirements to certify my students through the American board of NLP, Hypnosis and TLT Association?
You will have to translate the manuals.
The best process to follow is to translate the manuals and submit them to the boards for approval. Once that’s done, your manuals will remain as THE manuals to be recommended for other students who want to version in German.Tad , I and the TJC will retain the copyright of the content. You retain the copyright of the translation but not th content itself. I hope this makes sense.
2. What is the vision I hold in my head when teaching? What is it I want my students to achieve?
(Clear and critical thinking, clear vision and taking action toward what they want, empowerment) That’s my answer ? but want to ask anyway to see if there is more inspiration. Thank youThere are two things in th vision. The emotional part and the practical part. The emotional parties part of the bigger vision of what you do what you do. And here, everything you wrote is correct. Transformation, life changing, empowerment, taking action, etc.
The second – IE the practical part – has to do with the development of your business. And here, as I taught you in TT, the rollovers are the name of the game, happy students who have undergone the transformation, life changing and empowerment you offered want more. Of course, you did this, I did this, it is normal for every human being.
Therefore th number of people who will rollover into your MP on th spot is one essential ingredient to make your business a success.3. What resources are out there on holding SCY type seminars (Empower you future, empower yourself) and NLP trainings for youth and young adults?
You follow the process I described to you in th coaching MP section as well as in TT to design a training for them based on their particular needs.
So you start with what are the main problems in th group you’re working with at the moment – that’s called needs assessment – then you decide what NLP and TLT techniques are necessary to solve those problems and design the training according to their particular needs. Follow the training design principles in your NLP TT manual.
There are no resources that are so special in their approach as we do. And that’s the beauty of it. In the process of having YOU design the training, your thinking gets transformed and you become bullet proof in your knowledge and capability to solve problems for anyone.
And that’s how my dear Judith you become a MASTER TRAINER.I hope this helps.
Best wishes to everyone

ParticipantHi Adriana,
I’d like to take my training business in the Philipines and thought of translating the manuals and presentation scripts to the native language – Tagalog. Although most Filipino speaks and understands English and a lot of people speak a mix (Tag-Lish), would it be a good idea to translate it completely to the native language or keep some words in English?
Would the change of language or words affect the effectiveness of the process?
Thank you.

ModeratorHi Brian
It is so super wonderful to see you in this forum! I’m not sure what Adriana would say – I can share what i have done so far. I am in the process of exploring translation of some elements of prac into Greek. One being Ericksonian script from Practitioner. I then worked with a close contact in Greece (who speaks a number of languages) and I can say that she experienced a beautiful hypnotic state and wanted more! I have found that working with small chunks taking it up from there worked for me.
You have so much beautiful energy that your students will love your trainings in any language!

ParticipantWhat is the question or concern that if you ask and it is answered or resolved would take your NLP training to the next level?
My Question is,
Q1. How to master and deliver Trainings, workshops, and Personal Breakthrough interventions also using process language linguistics more frequently and holding the structure of the training or intervention?
I understand that trainings need to be modelled and delivered the way we have been trained and certified, I fully support this having said that I have been focussing recently on using process language more.
Q2. What are some insights/ideas, I can take on board speeding up the process as well as practicing and implementing keeping it all together. This is really missing in my breakthrough interventions.
I know what I need to do and certainly applying w daily practice, would really like to master it.
That is what’s missing in my set of skills and starting to apply more now

ParticipantThe biggest gap in skill set for me at the moment is in technology, marketing and sales. It is the bums on seats factor coupled with finding the right bums to fill the trainings and how to find them. Marketing, branding, advertising and working with technology is all new to me. Not something I have been versed with before and a new territory. Navigating through social media and getting visible is another. Having followers to having engaged followers are two different things which I have learnt. The last webinar by Mark H was great on technology, zoom and set up and I would appreciate sessions on:
– Branding and Awareness
– Marketing Basics and what we need to do to get visible and out there
– Sales 101
– How to get bums on seats and sell out trainings
– Advertising 101 and progressed
– Technology 101
To me these are fundamental as a new business owner shifting from a Trainer into how to run a successful business and that is only possible if we have bums on seats. -

ModeratorAhhh…Good question Caterina… Master sales on a deep level and as you say practice and this helps. A couple of things to consider:
1. As you work through the projects, you will find that these are valuable in helping you advance your skills. Also, go to the resources and the webinars like the one Mark did last week on marketing – very useful! You will find one of the projects is about how to handle objections about TLT(R) and once you work through that and read the amazing posts from other trainers, it will be so easy for you to handle any objections… remember Sleight of Mouth in Master Prac 🙂
2. Master sales – you may already have done this – get clarity on your niche. Who/What about your niche, what is it about that niche you really really want to work with, what is their need? What are you offering that helps provide a solution to the need. Chunk down and you will get amazing clarity and then you will be on a roll. I recommend you identify your business values which is one of the projects. I say this because when you are clear on your business values, you are clear on what you are going towards… I found working on my business values very helpful.
3. TJC will be offering a range of webinars coming up so stay tuned for when the notification comes out about the webinar and register.
Ahhh – the millennium… what if you could achieve what you want in….say…less than a millennium? 🙂 🙂
See you in the other projects – keep going and everything will grow stronger for you

ParticipantHi All
I have got my butt moving and doing the training projects.
I was writing my concern and question, whilst reading the feedback in Question 1B, my question has been answered, which was about using all that knowledge on NLP, TLT and hypnosis, to create a niche.
That leaves me with my concern which is my confidence in promoting the different programs I want to present. The new Adriana web sites has those fantastic webinars on sales, and the like, it is not the lack of knowledge, it is the confidence of not giving a dam and just do it. However, in doing these projects, I realise I am “Just do it”, which is giving me the confidence. I answered my own question, thank you
