KeymasterThis project has multiple parts and goes over 3 weeks to a month.
a. Do you have business cards? If not, make them this week.
b. Do you have a website which is dedicated to your training/coaching business? If not, do this within the next 2 weeks. Buy your name or another chosen name website, make sure you have an email to go with it (most do offer 3 emails for free). Have an email@yourwebsite. It is not professional to use private no name or silly names like watchtheflowersgro@Gmail, yahoo, or Hotmail emails for business purposes. For those working for corporations and if you do trainings hired by that corporation, the situation is obviously different. Use Word Press to set up a simple website (choose a template, put little descriptive info on the first page, make a form where prospects can inquire. Have also a form on the training page, where people can enroll directly in your weekend seminars – you can use PayPal to charge, which means you have to have a PayPal account. Make it if you don’t have it yet. You can have a simple menu – your trainings page, your coaching services page, About You page. Keep it simple and clean. Ask question on the forum if you don’t know what to do or how to do it. -

ParticipantRemember to make your business cards SIMPLE and easy to read!
A format like:
NAME
Trainings/Coaching Services offered
Phone #
Email address
Website
NOTE: Print on a high quality business card stock so it has a good V-KAlso you can keep in mind, when making your website, to make everything simple and easy to find. Set it up for ‘dummies’ (for lack of a better word) most of your potential clients and students may not know anything about NLP or Time Line Therapy(r). Check also how your website appears when opened on a computer and also how it appears on a mobile device.
ASK QUESTIONS!!! We know this may be your first time creating a website or business card on your own.
I know my first business cards were a confusing-calligraphy-hot-mess-disaster in the beginning and then I got my learnings 😉 -

ParticipantThank you for all the excellent guidance. My website content is written. Working on sales pages for specific events now. I will order business cards next week and will have them in hand by April 6th. Would you recommend a photo on our business cards? In my previous field, photos were a must. Thanks again!

ParticipantBrenda!
I have seen classy style cards of coaches with their picture, Debra Heslin if she’s logged in here has one that looks great!
There is a stereotypical Realtor look for business cards that Realtors use with a professional head shot…and first impressions leave lasting impressions for some people. So just keep that in mind.Like Marc said above, have your card LOOK the business that you are doing.
Talk soon on our coaching call!

ParticipantThe name says what it is – NLP Training Ltd (couldn’t believe that was available to register!).
I have a site, working on optimisation, and am creating new content for it. It has google analytics working and we are checking google tools for wording of searches in this area. There is a training page and people can pay directly there for the training. It is mobile responsive. If you would like to check it it’s http://www.nlptraining.org.uk
I pay a lot for my cards. it is important because I offer a premier level service and have to look the part. Even card makers are impressed. One guy looked at it recently and said “That looks the business” to which I replied “That’s because I AM the business” – he became a client.

ParticipantMarc!
Thank you for sharing a wonderful example of a very clean, easy to navigate website.
I really appreciate a website that has good content as well as pictures and videos to get an entire feel for the training experience. Also your Home page and every page in your tabs fits on about a page and a half, which makes it easy to take all the information in.Please keep sharing!

KeymasterHey Marc, love the website and the cards. As Laura mentioned, the website is easy to navigate and it is clean. Like the trainings you sell. ? however, you need to take out “create the future” or change it to the trademark which is licensed to you by the Coaching Trainer’s Training. The trademark licensed to you is “Creating Your Future(r) Coaching Techniques”. That’s the whole name. If you want to use it you must use it this way. Also somewhere at the bottom of each page where you use it, you need to specify with small font: “Creating Your Future(r)” is a registered trademark belonging to Tad James. Used with permission. “Create the future” is not the trademark, but it is too close to the trademark and we will have to object. This is not a criticism, but a legality we need to keep in mind, so please don’t feel bad about it. Just change it to the correct trademark if you want to use it.

Participant540 grams Amethyst board with gold embossed lettering front and back – first order I had to pay for the dyes to get made.
The cards have paid them selves back 1000 times over, plus I’m more focused now on who gets them, compared to when I had cheaper ones which I splashed round like confetti at networking events (none of which led to business)!

ParticipantThanks for the feedback Adriana, I will get a new dye made, and make the adjustments to the website. I was using the statement more like “transform the planet”, not as in the trademark but I see now it is too close and will remove it from the logo and website, and come up with something else instead.

ParticipantHi all – I have my website published – it has been for about three years now and also my business card.
My website is currently getting a little more updated toward business coaching as there is where my niche is heading along with trainings. Earlier when I first stated it was more around yoga and stress related modalities and my past coaching trainings. It was NLP that doubled my business and quadrupled my income which is continuing. I currently get a lot of clients from my yoga classes.
DebraHeslinWellness.com is my website – which was named and formed prior to NLP and was more an informational site. As I said it is currently being changed as I change.

July 20, 2018 at 11:48 am #3291
Marc McDermott
ParticipantHi Sandra,
For myself, I wasn’t sure either, so I designed it with and without the photo included. After playing round with opacity etc, I decided not to include it in the end on the roller banner, but did include it on the flyer version.
It’s worked out well for me. One side of the flyer includes an image of me, the other side includes benefits, and the feedback has been that it is has been useful for remembering who I am as well as the benefits I’m promoting. So the flyers work well in public events and business fairs, where people often just take something on the way past.
My business cards are expensive, and have impact every time I give someone a card. They remember me because we’ve interacted, so the card is sufficient there. Different needs different products. That’s just my experience though.

I have also put together a A5 postcard and that has a pic on it with info and currently having a brochure designed also.
As yourself my Business Cards are expensive and only handed out to people I interact with. My graphic designer wants the pic but I am not sure yet I have a few days to decideAgain your feedback was appreciated thank you

KeymasterHey Leslie, looking forward to see the rebranding. Keep us posted.
Doing APEP 1 now here in Sydney Australia, so sorry for late response. It’s been full on with NLP TT then Hypno TT and now APEP. However, it was very rewarding to see the effort and the reward at the end of each training for lots of bran new trainers. Honestly , I am always so impressed with our students success. So I am really excited to see your new branding and then to use that for you being really successful. ????

KeymasterNo need to upload the business cards here. Make sure they work and that they produce the results you’re after. Simple is better. If at a glance I can see the name, what you do, and the contact details including social media if you’re set up, they’re fine. Give them out and see what results you get. See how people react and see if they call you based on them. That’s what counts. Everything is about results.
Ultimately only by trying it live you will know if they work or not considering that the general rules for Biz Cards are respected. The same is true for advertising.
Good job. -

ParticipantHere is what I have for my card so far. Website is up but needs some more content about what my services are, so will follow up on the forum when that’s done.
Comments on the card before I send to printer? Since I have Time Line Therapy(R) on my card, do I need to include “Time Line Therapy(R) is a registered trademark of Tad James. Used with permission” in tiny font on the business card, or it is enough to have that line on my web site?

Participant¡Muchas gracias, Laurita! Got them back from the printer after a couple more visual tweaks. Printed on a paper made of recycled cotton t-shirts, so it’s eco-friendly, 17 or 18 pt thickness + cotton = great kinesthetic. Plus infused with human energy from the people who wore those t-shirts! Win win win ??????
And yes that is genuine Texas crude on my finger! We like to get our hands dirty on this forum, right? Greetings from the oil fields of West Texas! ?

KeymasterOne more thing Adam,
Assisting at our trainings will fulfill the role you are missing right now. Your training (yeah, coaching assistants get a complete training while assisting) in how to make trainings work, how to do sales and overcoming objections.
Since it is not you or your business, it lets you off the hook in terms of taking it personally, but at the same time it gives you exactly the strategies, the behaviors and the skills to overcome your own fears and limitations which prevent you from being comfortable in making your own business work.
In other words, you get a training in how to make this happen and you don’t have to deal with personal rejection. That’s one of the things that we help coaching assistant do while there. Plus you get to face your own projections and deal with them changing them a fhey appear.
As an APEP graduate you understand better than anyone and you know that once changed they won’t bother you again.
Cool stuff.Just consider this.
I know it’s a short notice, but next is NLP TT and surely your knowledge could be out to good use by the students to whom you’ll give feedback.Think of it. It’s just a thought. Trying to help.

ModeratorHi Adam
Thanks for sharing…. really like the colours and looks very professional. Like the name, it stands out and I can see clearly what your business is about. Nice!!
Just want to share with you that assisting at a training is REALLY A LOT OF FUN! you get to experience all that Adriana and the team do and experiencing the detail makes a lot of difference to your thinking about trainings. We enjoyed the challenge, thinking and doing, conversations, applying SoM and lots and lots of tools needed from NLP for sales. The thing is, you will definitely find that supporting a training is a supportive and great leap forward. We have supported a hypno, master prac and about to support another hypno, Glen has supported more trainings than I have. We are also supporting TT in Sydney this coming October… You will also meet other trainers from around the world and share marvellous and inspiring and fun stories. Really hope we see you in Australia one day soon. You will love it! Gina 🙂

ParticipantThanks Gina and Adriana! I am planning to assist at a training this year. I was planning on a Prac, since that will allow me to also model it to do my first Prac. Was thinking of doing the one in December in Vegas. Will decide on one this week and post to the appropriate thread. I’m sure it is a lot of fun and looking forward to the opportunity to practice my sales skills without any pressure. And yes Gina, would love to do one in Aus! Thanks for the kind words about the card! It is off to the printer!

Charlotte Sutton-Dockreay
ParticipantGood morning one and all,
I’ve jumped ahead on the tasks for a quick win for now as I have already launched my website and done a first draft of business cards.
Business Cards:
I haven’t yet sent to print so any feedback welcome. Plan to print on an off white thick textured card that has a very slight pearlescent sheen to it. I will attach pictures once I am in better wifi in a couple hours alongside a picture of my old personal card in the same finish.
Q: Does anyone use the board logos on their business cards?Website:
http://www.unleashinfinitepotential.comI need to do a page under ‘NLP Certifications Training’ to explain what NLP, TLT, Hypnosis etc…. are about and add in the board seals to show my qualifications. I’ll work on that this week.
Emails:
I have 2 emails linked to the website with Charlotte@ and info@Social Media:
Instagram page is live (unleashinfintepotential)
Facebook is in development -

ParticipantHi everyone,
Any feedback on proposed business cards welcome. The two digital images are my draft cards. The photo is the finish I will have.
I have not been able to add the (R) after Time Line Therapy(R) on the website so contacting them on how to do this. Also deliberating replacing the last two lines with:
NLP Trainer and Master Practitioner/ NLP Master Coach
Leadership Facilitator/ DISC AccreditedCan we get away with NLP or need to write in full? What have others done?
Thanks in advance for comments. Have a great rest of the day.
