KeymasterONGOING PROJECT UNTIL COMPLETED: Every week until completed, submit in the forum 2 examples of linguistic patterns from the Marketing NLP DVDs and manual. I know you will try to avoid doing this project, however, these patterns will help you with Project No. 7 as well as with handling objections in sales. We’ll get to closing the sales part soon.

ParticipantIn order to avoid, avoiding this project….just open that huge red TJC bag of goodies you got at the back of the room during your training and take out the Marketing DVD and its corresponding manual; get started there 🙂
I will do the same! Hey, we all can bring this material back into conscious awareness 🙂Then let’s have fun here… when you’re prepared to handle objections it is THE most fun part of the sales process.
I have a belief installed about sales, when there’s an objection I ALWAYS have an answer.
The other part of that equation is actually being prepared.
Let’s do this! -

ParticipantHi – can we please have an example of what is expected as part of this project. There is a lot of valuable information and great examples like irrelevant attribute (silk shampoo) or adds where 9 out of 10 doctors recommend x toothpaste as scientifically proven etc. however not sure of what we need to focus on & deliver here.
Thank you for clarifying. -

Adriana James
KeymasterHi Cristina, each of the -if I remember correctly – 90some patterns exemplified in the Marketing NLP, ar examples of how language is used to direct the kind in a certain way. With your knowledge of presuppositions in natural language you can surely see how that would work. So as in your example, “silk shampoo”, here silk is a misplaced adjective. We know it is not silk but in our minds it conjures an image of soft and high quality. It is not necessarily so. In fact many shampoos that use that line are full of chemicals that are bad for you.
So how would you use this in a positive fashion for a training? By following the same process. For example “superbly crafted delivery”. Think of it! What does that really mean? I’ll tell you. Absolutely nothing. “Crafted” could be take as hand made and with much skill. Well, our trainings in a way are “hand made” as we spend hours figuring out what goes where and what is necessary in order for the students to perform really well, but the important thing in this context is the choice of words. “Superbly” is a superlative, “crafted” we discussed already, so the mind is left – even if only at the unconscious level – with the idea of a personalized delivery of extraordinary quality.
Now how would a “delivery” be hand made and with skill? Ok I get the “with skill” part, as you have learned in TT how to be very skillful on stage, but “hand made”? Nevertheless, you get the point.
This is what you should do for each of the patterns. Create examples of how to use the patterns in NLP for your business and services and post them in the forum. Hopefully you are not going to be the only one doing this, and so,you’ll all learn from each other and exchange ideas.
These linguistic patters are based on logical fallacies (which we discussed in the Hidden Magical Language training) and are used every day in PR and advertising, commercials, etc. They are just linguistic techniques. They can be used for directing the mind to accept certain presuppositions. Since they are used to sell us everything from chewing gum to space taxis, and are part of our culture, we need to learn how to use them for our advantage to sell our services and skills. This can be done knowing fully that you will deliver very high quality trainings and so the issue of integrity is taken care of – but the possible customers don’t know it. Therefore, learning how to apply on the fly these linguistic patterns will create the state you want in your potential customers, and therefore interest. This is why the exercises are so necessary. They increase your ability to sell your products, training sand services.
I hope this makes it clear. -

KeymasterDebra, you know that all the DVDs are already in the forum, right? So you can watch them online if you so choose. They are in the same forum called “Weekly Projects”. The most important thing is to actually DO the exercises. Read my reply to Cristina about what to do specifically. The reply is in this very forum you’re reading now.

ParticipantI have listened to the first DVD today – certainly in differentiation or uniqueness of the products such as BMW being the ultimate driving machine – and the use on the verbs to describe the brand. I really found amusement in the levi jeans as the brand built around it was the worker jeans.
Longlasting jeans – ordinal presupposition of time.cause and effect with Volvo – because if you drive A volvo it will make you safer.
or complex equivalence – if you drive a volvo then you will be safe. There were many in the first DVD

KeymasterHahahahah…..that’s a trainer right there! When you dream of teaching trainings! Tell your unconscious mind that it is ok not to work during the night! One night I was teaching values the whole night. I was quite tired in the morning and it felt like I just taught the whole day of MP values LOL

I am currently re-doing my teacher notes (they were over 1,000 pages, I sound like the metaphor for Milton Erickson, they are down to 800,then 700 and then 600 – until i am consciously conscious that I will soon be unconscious from counting backwards. off to listen to the Hidden Magical Language Tape #2 inbetween the marketing NLP – I’m going back and forth as I have time this week and don’t want to stop. Wish I could come back to Aus soon – I just may but not in May it may be later :-).

ParticipantI read this project as “Every week until completed, submit in the forum 2 examples of linguistic patterns” and yet I don’t see any examples of people having done so. Is it that you have avoided this exercise as Adriana suggested? Are they posted somewhere else? Is there something I have missed or misunderstood? As I have had a break from the forum, I am resuming here where I left off.

ParticipantHere goes!!!
Junk Logic,
1. Make it simple
eg NLP integrates your conscious and unconscious mind toward your goals.
eg NLP gives you techniques for communicating with anyone.
2. Simultaneous events
eg Coaching is totally guaranteed, so you will get results.
eg NLP trainings give you tools for life, so you can achieve your life’s goals. -

Participant3. It follows
eg Following my NLP training and utilising the tools I no longer suffer PTSD or take medication.
eg NLP has given me the tools to stay empowered and honour my dreams not my circumstances.
4. Generalisations
eg Have you found the NLP introduction valuable? If you got value out of that, imagine how much value you will get from a full 7 days training in NLP.
eg With NLP I have successfully helped people go from self sabotage to freedom, ineffectiveness to empowerment, procrastination to motivation, doubt to direction, fear to confidence, ‘not bad’ to fabulous. NLP can help most anyone get from where they are to where they want to be. -

Participant5. Inappropriate Complex Equivalent
eg. It is easier for people who have done NLP to let go of their negative self talk and live a fulfilled life than regular people.
eg. Only people who have learned NLP truly understand communication.6. Attack the source
eg. “N.A.” is focussed on going to the Olympics so doesn’t understand your needs.
eg. Other confidence and goal setting courses do not contain the most important part which is letting go of the associated negative emotions and limiting decisions, so they have you still carrying your baggage which is why they cannot give you lasting results.-

Participant7. Drawing False Conclusions
eg. If I am really good at what I do, then people will flock to me.
eg. I am not good at marketing and self promotion, therefore I will never be a success.8. True for Parts, True for whole.
eg. I have not mastered the 5 step sales process which means I don’t really know NLP.
eg. The mapping across like to dislike to stop eating chocolate only worked for a few months. NLP doesn’t really have lasting results.-
December 4, 2018 at 2:16 am #3906
Adriana James
KeymasterNow turn the last 2 you did (Drawing false conclusions and True for Parts – True for whole) into what a potential client can say to you and re-frame using them back at the client.
E.g. – “The mapping across like to dislike to stop eating chocolate only worked for a few months. NLP doesn’t really have lasting results.”
First it is not supposed to last forever. That’s why it takes 10 minutes to do, and not 6 months to a full year weekly 1 hour interventions.
And BTW – If it was supposed to last forever you could have a bunch of people without fee will. Is that what you want?
Now let’s talk reality and get to work!

Participant7. Drawing false conclusions
eg. If you were that good at what you do, your seminars and trainings would be full. How are people supposed to know how good I am at what I do before they do a seminar or training with me?
eg.You will never be successful, because you don’t know how to market yourself.
What does success mean to you? I know how to get results for people. That is success for me.
8. True for Parts, True for whole.
eg.You haven’t sold me into your course, so you obviously don’t know NLP very well.I haven’t sold you yet because you haven’t asked me the one question that will have you sold into the right program for you.
OR I haven’t sold you yet as you haven’t yet sold me that you are willing to do what it takes to learn NLP well.
OR NLP cannot make you do anything. No matter how thorough my knowledge of NLP, and how much I think it will benefit you, I am not going to make you do anything you are not willing to do for yourself.

ParticipantJunk Logic:
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is about the study of the programming of the brain’s habits and how to use language to shift them to get more effective habits and tangible results.rather;
Our NLP course allows you to easily get better results in sales.
Our NLP course will teach you to connect the dots to get what you want.
Our course teaches you how to easily control your emotions, instead of being controlled by them.2. Simultaneous Events:
If you have just went through a divorce, tragedy, or break-up, you’re creating a new life anyway, won’t it be great to make it the way you want?
We offer 100% guarantee which means our clients always get the results and the support they need to create the New Life that they want.-

If you take this training you will release any limiting decisions that keep you from attracting what you want in a new partner and your career.4. Generalizations:
NLP has helped clients get rid of triggered emotions from their ex, find profound self-worth, get rid of anxiety, change their limiting beliefs about money, so NLP can assist just about anyone to get rid of what they don’t want and get what they want.Politicians use NLP, Speakers use NLP, Advertisers and Sales people use NLP, therefore most everyone can benefit from this kind of training.

ParticipantInappropriate Complex Equivalent:
I have a newer, hybrid car with a lot of features and abilities not before seen in any car I had before. I had to reference the owner’s manual for many things. Now, NLP is like the owner’s manual for your mind, You can drive the car without reading the manual, and you will learn some of the features over your time driving it, yet it is just easier to look up the switches and indicator lights in the owner’s manual. When you learn NLP, You will learn all kinds of things about your mind and it’s capabilities and features.Attack the Source:
Anger is an energetic emotion, yes.. and it is responsible for much disease and stress in the body, unresolved anger is responsible for all kinds of violence in the world, hatred and chaos. Thus, keeping anger in the body is not acceptable to a healthy person.Sadness is a negative emotion that is responsible for suffering in the world. Unresolved sadness leads people to self-harm and destructive habits such as drinking and drugs. No healthy person would find it acceptable to leave sadness rampant in the body, when there is an easy way to release it.

You can REALLY leave your past BEHIND you when you take this training with us.Our training will teach you how to get the results that you want in all aspects of your life.
I have seen NLP succeed with clients with PTSD and Bipolar, Anxiety, Performance enhancement, motivation, to change specific behaviours, to improve relationships, to achieve better outcomes, for the removal of phobias, to increase sales, to be more influential, to improve learning (removal of dyslexia),…and therefore, can conclude that NLP works with most issues and most people.

ParticipantI think I’ve got it.
Junk Logic:
1. Make it simple
You can REALLY leave your past BEHIND you when you take this training with us.
Our training will teach you how to get the results that you want in all aspects of your life.2. Simultaneous events
NLP trainings give you tools for life, so you can achieve your goals far into your future.
Coaching with us is 100% guaranteed, so you will get results.3. It Follows
Clients get rid of limiting decision and negative emotions during Time Line Therapy®, which means they are now free from their past negative experiences and this changes the way in which they respond to their environment. Many students have interesting experiences when returning to their relationships with family and friends as they will treat them as they always have, unless the student is able to enforce their boundaries adequately.
Our student’s testimonial: “I spent decades looking for the answers, trying to figure out what I was doing. I had a lot of trauma in my life and struggled for a really long time. I risked everything to come to these trainings, I didn’t even have the money, I went on a 3-year payment plan to make it happen and maxed out the credit cards. I really committed to the trainings and gave every aspect 100% and, as they told me, in the first 12 months, I left the job that I had hated for 10 years and landed my dream job and my flailing marriage of 16 years has been reignited to one full of love and passion. I learnt how to overcome my trauma and challenges and turn them into positive learnings that have created my success.”4. Generalisation
I have seen NLP succeed with clients with PTSD and Bipolar, anxiety, for performance enhancement, motivation, to change specific behaviours, to improve relationships, to achieve better outcomes, for the removal of phobias, to increase sales, to be more influential, to improve learning (removal of dyslexia),…and therefore, NLP works with most issues and most people.
When I studies NLP with my trainer, I was not taught anchoring properly, which is a foundation technique in NLP. If they couldn’t teach me the very basics properly nothing else they taught will be of any use.5. Inappropriate complex equivalent
People who learn NLP have a distinct advantage in all aspects of life than those who do not.
If everyone that was carrying a bag full of negative emotions on their back let it go, we would live in utopia. If everyone did NLP, everyone would be happy.6. Attack the source
Hypnosis is brainwashing, you can’t trust anyone who does that. Didn’t you know about MK Ultra? The guy who founded hypnotherapy was part of that.
There is no credible evidence to support the efficacy of NLP therefore it’s all hogwash. That’s all for now!

Genevieve Lai
Participant7. Drawing false conclusions
NLP is effective and easy to use, therefore, anyone who claims it doesn’t work, isn’t doing it right. It’s as simple as that.
I have done a lot of research on NLP over many years, I understand the concepts so do not believe the training would benefit me.8. True for the parts, true for the whole
I have noticed that some trainers have a particular focus regarding NLP, and that means that they do not necessarily focus on the foundation techniques of NLP such as anchoring. Without the foundations you really can not understand NLP the way it was intended and in turn, they end up being far less effective as practitioners.
In our training we teach you all aspects of NLP from foundation to advanced, to the extent, that we install the tools for you to use in your subconscious mind and you have access to these tools for life! You are able to continue to apply the tools to achieve the goals that you want in life and support others to do the same.
The mapping across like to dislike to stop drinking coffee only worked for a few months. NLP doesn’t really have lasting results.9. Dichotomy
You either get qualified as an NLP practitioner through attending the live trainings or you will never really know whether you are using the techniques most effectively.
You either commit to your personal journey through investing in yourself and this training, or you will never know how good life could be for you.10. Redefining
Truth is perceived, and not a real concept in and of itself.
Propaganda is the more or less systematic effort to manipulate other people’s beliefs, attitudes, or actions by means of symbols (words, gestures, banners, monuments, music, clothing, insignia, hairstyles, designs on coins and postage stamps, and so forth) therefore, if you learn NLP you will never be a victim of propaganda again.11. Public opinion is a foregone conclusion
The balance of scientific evidence reveals NLP to be a largely discredited pseudoscience. Reviews of empirical research show that NLP has failed to produce reliable results for its core tenets and therefore has no credibility.
There are a few books by NLP proponents that say it’s a fine technique and the overwhelming majority of medical publications on the subject say it’s unproved and largely discredited, even a textbook example of a pseudoscience. NLP is not an effective modality for change.12. I’m due a hit.
You have spent your life putting the needs of others before yourself, now its your time for a hit! Don’t you think it’s about time you rewarded yourself?
I’ve done hypnotherapy before and I still have anxiety.
This means that you weren’t ready to let it go, and now that you are here, it means that you are ready to be successful in overcoming your anxiety forever now, isn’t that right?13. Incongruence
Being at cause is essential if you want to achieve your goals in life. It’s such a shame that others are always getting in the way of making it happen.
We should trust our unconscious mind, this is our instincts speaking to us, unfortunately, we experience so much trauma in our early years, it’s impossible to know if its our instincts guiding us or our Trauma misleading us.14. Ask somebody who does not have a clue and call them an expert
I have a mate who has read heaps of books about NLP and psychology and stuff and he assures me, NLP is hogwash and has no credibility.
NLP is amazing. My brothers wife was such a bitch, then she did NLP and they made her a nicer person!Hehe!
