KeymasterFrom here on we are starting the “doing” part of the projects. So far we have learned how to think clearly about the business of training (if you have done all the projects so far) and we will continue to do that as there is much more to know. However, it is now the time to start organizing our “doing” – in other words, taking direct action to make it happen.
Decide the date of your first practitioner, even if later this year if you have not done it already. If you have thoroughly done the projects up to this point, this should now be more realistic than ever. REMINDER: Make up your schedule and business plan (if you havenโt done that just yet) based on the example you have in the Marketing for NLP Training Manual on page 45. Make sure you have your year schedule/prices/location organized and selected. Do this in writing. Then check out possible locations. if you have small groups you can do your first training in your house. That will save on expenses, and you will have fun with a small but carefully attended to training.
For those of you who have already done trainings, make sure you have your schedule well organized, and laid out nicely on a sheet for every training you do regardless of whether it is a 2 hours intro event or a two days training. For that check out Project No. 10. Make sure it corresponds to your business plan you are working at and that it is reasonable in terms of your time, energy and abilities to put students in front of you (sales).
Think in advance (for those of you doing trainings already, this part is done). you will need notes for your Practitioner Training. you have the Schedule from us, You have the manuals and the Power Point presentation, so that’s done.Nevertheless, if you want to have notes as you may not be sure exactly how to teach each section, transcribe the NLP Practitioner recordings you received from us and use the notes. It makes your life much easier and the training far more precise until you have a few NLP Practitioners under your belt. From there on you can only use the manual. To stay on time with the schedule (which is no small task), you need notes. My advice? Do not teach your first practitioner without notes.

ParticipantAlso, if the opportunities arise.
And those of you who have done coaching with me will hear me say this like a broken record.
The moment you decide on your Practitioner dates, and there’s an interested prospect in front of you…START THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS!!
This means actively selling/promoting/closing your potential students for your training. Your preparation should be done alongside the enrollment process. NOT…I repeat NOT First, prepare my training; Second, enroll students.
Do BOTH at the same time! Or…Enroll first, Prepare second. Depends on how daring you can be ๐
Think of it this way, this Forum, the Projects, the TJC trainings, the NLP Support USB, and our Coaching Staff all give you numerous ways to successfully and thoroughly prepare to deliver a high-quality Practitioner training. This is a given.
The enrollment part will be where you can stretch yourself and it requires ACTION. This part ensures you have students in your Practitioner training not the other way around.
All of us in this community are here to support you!
There will be many many more projects about the sales process in this Forum…so stay tuned as Adriana has developed projects to help you fine-tune everything in the enrollment process.
If you have a date for your Practitioner and no training venue yet, you can still tell people about it!
EXAMPLE: “I have an NLP Practitioner training June 25th – July 1st in the Las Vegas metro area, is that something that interests you?”-

KeymasterI concur 100% with what Laura says. Even if you don’t have yet all the projects and the skills necessary, if you don’t start somewhere you will never start. I gave you here several projects to get started. Do them.
However, my point, as Laura’s is that getting ready to be ready is the worst thing you can do. Hecause you’ll never be “ready”. Despite what many people think, trying and failing is much better than not trying at all. Do you think I did not fail? Do you think Laura has not failed? Do you think Tad has not failed? We all failed, and we learned massively because of our failures – in fact we learned more than we would have learned if we did not fail. The failures made us into successes. The fear of failure is what keeps one from even trying. I am not saying you should not prepare and do your best even the first time. That’s not what I am saying. But as Laura said, prepare and sell seats at the same time. Or even sell seats and prepare afterwards.
Then what’s the difference between people who are not afraid to fail and those who are? We had the courage to continue and proceed in spite and despite our failures from the past. It is like getting into a brand new relationship. Remember when you were a teenager? You think it is the best thing since sliced bread. You planned to commit be sue you found the love of your life. Then you notice things are not as good as you think they were or for whatever reason the possible relationship breaks down. What do you do? I am not going to tell you what you should do, but one thing is clear. You don’t find a hole to hide in it and say I will never date again because I am afraid. You did not and here you are today.
Same thing with business. You try something, and afterwards you notice things that worked well, you notice things that did not work so well, eliminate the ones that did not work well, and make it better next time. Very quickly you will perform to your liking and expectations. But if you never do anything, but prepare and prepare to be ready, you’ll never be ready.

ParticipantAdriana!! What do you mean?? You’ve never failed!!! LOL
I say that as a very real joke because we only see your magnificent finished projects!
We have to remember Tad and Adriana started where we are today, at one point in their lives! This is a great point to remember in the field of NLP specifically.
You become an expert in NLP by doing NLP…coaching, trainings, intros, sales pitches, elevator pitches, etc.
Anything you do with the NLP you’ve learned, will make you grow exponentially.Do something, whether you think it’s a tiny step or a huge step…make it your mission to do 1 thing today!

ParticipantGreat point Laura, back in 2009 when I took my NLP Trainers Training, I scheduled my first NLP Practitioner Training before I went to TT and sold the first place at the airport on the way out! I delivered the training the month after I graduated and found this the motivating launch pad for my future. The training was fresh in my mind and I surprised myself by how easily the content flowed into my consciousness as I stood at the front of the room. I knew I could!
Now, I create my annual schedule every August for the next year. it sets my intention for the year to come and I begin to market as soon as I release the schedule. Still in love with my business!

ParticipantThank you for the valuable insights and especially for encouraging us to take action no matter what.
I have my 1st Prac scheduled for 29th of April – 6th of May and I have been doing a couple of free intros (rest of the trainings for the year I need to put specific dates yet). As you know I have enrolled a person into Prac and a couple of others into a weekend seminar along the same lines as SCYF. The challenge that I face currently is that although they sign the agreement and some of them even make the payments, they then change their minds, or come up with explanations such as: I don’t feel the same joy anymore, the time is not now for me, or the classical I don’t have time or money. Am not sure how to pick this up, I am constantly trying to understand if it has to do with me or the way I do things, or project or if it is also somehow normal, in the sense that people, after the seminar they go back to their lives and the programming they have been used to.-

ParticipantThank you for sharing this Cristina!! I know we had a Coaching call on this topic and I would also like to address this in the next Zoom webinar on April 5th USA/ April 6th AU.
This experience, although it’s not anticipated by anyone who enrolls students into their training, is part of a VALUABLE feedback process!
Take it as feedback (as opposed to failure) when students ‘change their mind’ and it will become a growth experience for you, it is also an opportunity to build more value in the sales process. Use this as a coaching moment for your student. The student was most likely in a resourceful empowered state when they signed the agreement and paid for the course. Then yes, they may have gone home to an unsupportive environment (among other things) and forgot about the reasons why they enrolled or lost motivation because limitations surfaced and they went back into an unresourceful state. It’s not about what you did wrong…it’s about what you now have the opportunity to do for yourself and your student.
Here’s where you can be an exquisite coach and saleswoman. Get them on the phone, let them empty their cup, hear what limitations have surfaced since they’ve enrolled, reframe, then build value in your training by reminding them that all the limitations that have surfaced are just examples of what they’ll be able to release during your Practitioner training. Limitations that have limited them in the past, in other contexts of life.
This is exactly why they need to attend the training!
At this point you will realize that you wear many hats in your business: Trainer, Salesperson, Admin, Accounting, and Coach.
If this moment occurs ever with your students, the Coaching hat is great one to wear…coach them to successfully stay enrolled in the training because they want to be there, which is why they signed the document and paid money.

ParticipantThank you, Laura! This is very helpful for someone who has just started in this business. As I personally had the tendency to put the blame exclusively on myself and charge myself with doubts and negative emotions about what I am doing. Just like you said it, there is no straight line and there are multiple hats that we need to wear from the start of the process until the finish, when we have the clients graduate. No pain, no gain :))
For a successful conversion rate, would you recommend doing free intros or rather paid ones, even if the amount is symbolic? I enjoy doing a free intro, to get people curious about the topics, sharing what I know, connect with them etc. but my impression so far is that there are a lot of free seminars addicts who are just hopping from one event to another and they seem to look for the perfect free stuff that will change their life forever. And the problem is not the energy I spend on doing the intro, I am rather disappointed that it doesn’t conclude immediately and they simply drag you through long some discussions and promises that don’t get me anywhere. What is your advise about that? Thanks!-
March 28, 2018 at 12:15 am #2601
Laura Petrie
ParticipantWell Cristina I have to look at the fact that you said you’re disappointed. Examine what specifically about what you’ve listed that you are disappointed in. (reject anything that doesn’t apply) The Results at the end of the training? Not having boundaries with your time? your value? What promises? Look into each one of those things that bring you disappointment and see how you can manage it better for the next intro. Feedback, right? So if you seem to attract seminar addicts who love freebies, how can you manage the next one better? Charge what will weed them out.
The session doesn’t conclude immediately, would that be so bad if everyone stayed to enroll in the next level? So change how the session concludes, make a boundary for yourself. If the discussions are not ‘closing’ discussions, maybe decide to cut the energy and set an appointment in the future with them. Are the promises excuses for not taking action now? Then make a commitment to yourself to do what it takes to reframe and close them in that moment or cut the energy and move on. These are all examples, not really advice. Just some things I do to manage my energy when talking with those who will take action and knowing those who will not.
Remember every Intro will provide valuable feedback of what works for you and what does not. Be flexible, incorporate feedback, and try something new next time. You will find a stride that works for you and will encourage rather than disappoint, will motivate and recharge you. You’re on the path and most importantly you are DOING something!
If free gets you the results you’re looking for – do it! If free does not get you results…charge! ๐
Your results will point you in the right direction, know your goal, do what it takes to get it, then readjust if needed.

Cristina Moise
ParticipantHey Laura. Thank you for the encouragements! I am rather disappointed with the results but that’s only because I want everyone to sign up for training which is not realistic and too nice to be true :)) Also it taught me about reinforcing my boundaries and stop getting into endless discussions about how the person wants and is desperate to make the change but not willing to take any action.
However, as you mention, these are great experiences and I learned a lot from them in terms of what kind of format or topics work for the audience, how to handle apparently simple things as logistics, how to negotiate for the space and time you are taking where you are doing the intros, what marketing materials to have with you like for ex some flyers or banners…all small details however they all have some contribution to the image or brand you are creating for yourself.
Also, with every intro or presentation, I become more in control, I get more self confident about this and adding a lot of value to myself personally.I realize also how important it is to have a website as it helps with your credibility and helps make decisions for those who want to know every single detail of what will happen in the trainings. Also it spares you endless emails and conversations about what, when etc.
So I am on that as well as preparing my notes for the Prac as often times it requires some re-listening of some of the topics until I master them well. -

KeymasterCriatina, funny…I wrote this answer 3 times and I could not post it. It just disappeared. Am I going to give up? No. So here is again the 4th trial.
So, I guess I need to hear myself say again and again this because I am creating a repeat…heheheh…. As an APEP graduate you understand this in terms of a projection.I have one more thing to add to what Laura said: you remember the 80-20 rule? 80 % of the people will take you time, TALK about their issues (usually the ones who want to tell you everything about their life and complain, but don’t listen at all belong to this category) feel good because they dumped on you – therefore they feel a relief, or pick your brain but DO nothing. These are what we call the “freebies”. They want to learn something new, but are unwilling to invest in themselves. They’ll take all you time, they’ll tell you about all their problems but when it is about taking action to change anything …hmmm… Not the case. They are not high probability clients. Now you’re learning to discern between and the other 20% who are sincerely interested in DOING something to change their lives – these are your people. I said in the training you cannot help everybody. It is unfortunate because we are caring people and we would do everything we can to help people but if people don’t want to be helped….oh well, focus on those who do.
There used to be an old joke, with a student who after the summer vacation very proudly reported to the teacher that he did a good deed – he Helene an old woman to cross the road. There was only one problem. The woman did not want to cross the road.
So, you are learning. You are already a winner because you don’t let yourself be demotivated by the trials you go through in order to begin to discern all these intricacies of how to make your business a success.
There is an old saying that it is not the victory of a battle that gives us the greatest joy and satisfaction but the road there. Most people don’t want to face the difficulties of winning a battle. They want easy everything. Unfortunately – or fortunately – the greatest learnings and development happens because of overcoming difficulties not because of the easy everything. If everything would be easy, we would all be lazy, and do nothing.
As I said, you’re already a winner. Keep going. You are not alone. We are here to hope every step of the way. -

ParticipantThank you, Adriana. Indeed many people I have met are waiting and hoping for some magic pill or miracle to save them and to produce the results they never put the effort to get themselves. And their minds are just bombarded with adds on how this or that product will make all their problems disappear overnight and bring them health, happiness and success by just watching TV and buying those products.
And looking at the obstacles along the way as tests and as an inherent part of the learning process, it gives me more energy to move on and try out something differently or something completely new.-
April 3, 2018 at 12:21 am #2713
Laura Petrie
ParticipantOhh yeah…there’s lots of magic pill seekers these days. When I get them on the phone and they ask me if NLP can make them be a millionaire overnight…or if they become a coach will I give them clients so they can be world famous overnight…?
At that instant I manage their expectations, saying something like this: Although NLP and TLT can help you change your beliefs and emotions in a blink of an eye and make you feel as if you took a magical pill for emotional freedom…all the action steps required for you to make yourself a millionaire will be your responsibility. And guess what? Once you have released everything that’s holding you back during this training, the steps that once seemed difficult for you may now seem effortless. (Same goes for attracting and closing their own clients.)
I also tell them, if I promised you a magic pill to become a millionaire overnight you wouldn’t believe me anyway and I’d be selling you a lie, I have much more integrity than that because I want to help you. When you take this NLP training with me you will have access to all the magic pills for your success to help you at the unconscious level. Then any of the action steps that are aligned with your goals, I can support you and guide you along that path as much as you’re willing to take action.

ParticipantHi All,
I know that I am late on this conversation. Cristina I applaud you for taking action and putting yourself out there. It takes a lot of courage! Brandon and have done many free events and some got results and some didn’t. After one of them I thought it went really bad and it turn out later, we got enrollment in the our pract. It is a follow up game and sometimes the seed developed into results and some don’t. What I am learning some people are super quick in the sales cycle and some take a little nurturing. The key is to knowing the ones who need the nurturing and knowing the difference from the Free Bee Vampires and putting that boundary as well.
Also moving forward we are going to charge $15-25 for a 1 hour intro moving forward. We are calling it a donation.

ParticipantGreat points Deb!
That ‘donation’ option is good as you have then put some monetary value on the intro. I see that a lot in the yoga and meditation community, so it’s a good strategy that will get a response and possibly weed out the “free bee vampires.” All in all what I see here is that you’re constantly getting feedback and implementing new strategies. Even if the donation bit doesn’t work (obviously I hope it does) at least you’re learning what does work in the meantime!
You are doing awesome ladies!!

ParticipantHi everyone! Am back from Easter holidays here in Romania and pulling my NLP brains together ๐
Deb – I think you are absolutely right. Some intros might produce results immediately some on medium or longer term. As you rightly said, it is a matter of follow-up and keep them close in your communications, newsletters and sometimes have the patience to listen to their problems. Someone came to my intro and although she would need some support she came up with the idea to support her daughter’s voleyball team to be more confident when stepping in the arena and don’t let themselves be intimidated by the supporters of their adversaries…so the idea is, that you get into some interesting conversations and discover things that you never thought of.Also, the donation idea is brilliant. I also plan to charge something going forwards and see how this changes the exchange of energy between me and them.
Deb – you also asked me about FB adds in another thread, how this works. I have tested it in the past couple of months to create awareness and to basically help create the shift in people’s minds regarding what I do. As many of my colleagues at work they have known me for what I have been doing in the past years but not for NLP trainings, coaching etc. To be honest, FB adds require some time to figure out the best way to do the campaigns, do the targeting, adapting your communication and message based on the responses you get throughout the campaigns. Again, it produces results as long as you connect with the people separately, have conversations with them about what their problems are etc. Depending on what niche you have established for yourself, and what you are projecting, it is even surprising & funny to see some of the results or clients you get ๐ Then you might go back an rewrite what kind of niche you want to be in.
By the way, I have a question on how to deal with clients that come to your training and want to make a move on you…not sure if this is the right expression but I think you got the point.
Thanks!

Adriana James
KeymasterHey Cristina, I will let you and Deb continue the conversation about FB. I agree with what you say. FB requires targeted viewership, and eventually it all boils down to personal conversations, which is what we keep telling everyone in our trainings. There is no replacement for one-on-one conversation with people. It takes less time and effort live on the phone so eventually you want to connect with them and talk to them directly.
About people hitting on you during trainings, change the energy around you. People will always try if they feel there is an opening. Meaning you may be just friendly but that can be interpreted as something else if the intention of the person is different. So change the energy around you, and within you, and out put only the intention of professional relationship, “I am the trainer and you are the student and we are here to do a job” type of energy, and that will stop. Now, from APEP point of view, think of what is it inside you that makes that possible. Do not take this the wrong way, it may be simply because you want their attention in training, but get a different “attention”. So chunk down (E.g. if I want my participants attention is only professional) and check your projections. Because perception is projection. As an APEP graduate you get into the heavier stuff compared to non APEP people (most unconsciousness projections come out for change and resolution – meaning they want to become conscious). But this provides your greatest awakening and growth of consciousness.
So do some introspection work and figure out for what purpose would you create such situations. The moment you realize that and bring it to consciousness, the projection will change. And as you remember from APEP it may not be a on-on -one relationship. It may play there (7th house) because of something else in the 7th house, or anywhere else as a matter of fact. So figure out what it is and then ask yourself where are you doing the same or similar.
So do the APEP problem solving technique spending really a good amount of time to figure out what is this for YOU and after you figure that out, then go through the questions about boundaries which you wrote down in APEP 1. If you are stuck, call me. This is more an APEP question than anything else, although for a training situation, do what I said above, professional relationship and cut that garbage out immediately.
I hope this helps.

ParticipantHey Adriana. Thank you for your reply and guidance – very helpful as always and it would be great to connect separately and discuss further.
As of now, I am preparing for Prac which I admit is giving me a bit of a head ache in the sense that I struggle with finding my “best” method for preparing for it and staying focused everyday on going through the content.
I am aware that doing transcripts and listening to the tapes are key in preparation so that afterwords I am able to do the 4MAT for the topic however it would be great if you can give any further guidance or if anyone can share from their experience what helped them do a good preparation of a Prac.Thank you!

KeymasterTo make it the easiest, transcribe the recording and teach from these notes. Together with the slides, it is the best way to do your first prac. It seems hard now as you think of it, but once you start the training, the trainer state will kick in. Automatically, and you will see how well it flows. Just remember that if you make a mistake in explaining something, nothing stops you from explaining it again so you do it right. Also remember that the people don’t know NLP, so it is not like you have critics there to monitor how you teach.
The hardest part to teach well be sue it is convoluted is in the first two days – the language patterns (presuppositions, Milton – here you need to give your students a lot of why just before this section as it is hard for them – metaphors and Meta model. If you do this well, the rest is easy. I have gotten to new understating on how to teach this so that it is well accepted and people don’t freak out in the last two years. I’ll have a prac in Australia coming up in May, and I have a big group which is much harder than a small group where you can talk to all individuals one on one. So don’t worry, get the transcriptions done and teach from the notes. You can even play the demonstrations we did on the prac DVDs (take them out of the DVDs and play them) first and then do a live demo to make sure all is perfect. Also the DVDs are a full Prac as we taught it live recording, so that also is helpful for you to watch.
Bottom line, you know enough as it is to teach a good training. Focus on the end result and do not let yourself get into anxiety. Remember anxiety and worried about the future (training) are possible only if you focus on what can go wrong. Get prepared well, and focus on how well the training will be and how well you will teach and how great the results you will have with the students. Focus on the great feeling you will have at the end when you will hear “this was the best thing I have done in my entire life” from your students. And then worries and anxiety will diaapear. Remember also that you will perform much better from now until the training and during the training if you focus on the “successful completion”.
I know you know all this, and it is good from time to time to hear it again.
When is your prac?

ParticipantHello Cristina, I chose to invest in the DVD’s for NLP Practitioner with Tad and Adriana when Simon encouraged me to consider it. I transcribed them to give me the format to follow. This created a great win for me because of the flexibility to add my personality into it. I chose to model what works and I feel good about what I am presenting. It is the format that I am continuing to follow.

ParticipantHello Cristina, When I made my decision to transcribe, I already had two people who were interested in enrolling but no format to my trainings. This motivated me to make it happen and to do whatever it took to get myself clear about what I was going to present. Had I not had those two people, I would have put it off longer. Now I understand about doing what I need to do and everything else will fall into place.

Debra Heslin
ParticipantGood afternoon everyone,
I am playing a little bit of catch up and will be making my way back through these threads in the hopes of catching up. This is actually a great thread for me to get started as I just finished my third NLP Practitioner Training since graduating in October. My fourth is set for May 17th and the fifth is set for July 12th. It took three months to transcribe the tapes and put in order to deliver for training. After the first training I made changes to the manual as I knew and remembered more than I thought I would remember (which was a wonderful surprise). My manual was more than 1300 pages (LOL) not wanting to miss out anything. The second NLP Prac went fantastic and I kept surprising myself with how much came more naturally and how much more was sinking in. The third one, four people at this one (were all recommendations from the second training) and the 4th and 5th are recommendations and some of my regular clients.
A couple of things I would like to personally express – the transcribing and putting together of the manuals was tedious, time consuming and brought about limited financial income during that time, however, boy did it sink in. Now I adding my own flair to the metaphors and stories and feel so much more confident.
I am currently going through my manual again to match and reorder slides to flow with more ease. Sometimes I want to pinch myself that I am running NLP trainings and getting recommendations for people to take them.
I share this because of the limiting beliefs and doubts that I could do it. For me, it was jump in with both legs and flap my arms until I was swimming with ease. Doing it regardless of feeling or knowing you are completely equipped to proceed does not matter – what matters is you take action. The Five Principles to Success have stuck with me and I love this work.
Didn’t think I even wanted to, but now considering doing a Master Prac next year as I will have five Prac’s under my belt and will be attending TJC in September in Vegas.
One of the things that Adriana and Tad have said repeatedly on the tapes and in training – don’t wait till it is perfect – make the tweaks as you go that is how we learn best.
Back to preparing for Prac #4 ๐

KeymasterHey Debra, more power to you! Yes, this is the right approach. You do have enough students for your first MP and you can do it easily next year. Until then we will go through more projects that will increase your ability for sign ups and sales so you’ll have bran new students for your pracs next year, and if you nurturer correctly the students you already have as a graduates they’ll be there for your Master Prac. You gave them already a great experience and in this situation everyone wants more.
And again, you are so right when you say that there are a lot of LB and LD we put on ourselves that prevent us from starting. But despite all that you started and you started well. Which goes to show you that there is nothing but ourselves that stops us from doing something if we really want to. Great job!
Please feel free to ask anything you need from us to make this happen the way you want it. Just a reminder, we have also a forum called “General Q&A” under the Zoom Webinars tab, so if you have questions tha are not related to specific projects but just other kind of questions, feel free to ask. We’re always here to help. -

ParticipantI agree with Debra. It takes a lot of time to transcribe the audio, but it really sinks in as a result, and the whole format is there as a template. Once I did the first Prac I knew where to improve and any adjustments to make for the next. The second went smoother and I was more confident in delivery and style. The third I really hit my stride and put so much more of my own experience in there. The fourth produced exquisite experiences for everyone, including me. I felt I had really made it my own.
Now the task begins of transcribing Master Prac audio!

KeymasterI did not say it won’t be work to be done in transcribing the Prac. But as you and Debra describe, it is worth the effort as it really sinks in. I had the same experience only that I did the transcribing before TT to prepare myself. After doing that I felt you can wake me up at 3 am and ask me to teach envy topic from the prac and I knew how to teach it. I assume that is true for you, too.
And as you say Marc, the idea is not to create copy-cats of Tad and myself, but to make it your own. To become your brand under the big umbrella called teaching NLP Coaching. Well done and for more successful trainings to come. -

ParticipantThank you, everyone, for sharing from your experience. I realize as I go through the tapes and prepare the notes that this is the best way to do it. I got overwhelmed initially as I thought I would not have enough time to go through the topics and be able to present them in my own manner/style. I have initially scheduled a Prac for 1 whole week but then decided to split it into multiple sessions across 4 weekends as I need to accommodate my job schedule as well.

ParticipantHi Adriana and all – thanks Adriana for answering and confirming to me I do have the right approach in where I am heading. I am looking forward to going through more projects to increase my ability for sales and signing people. They have all asked about to MP with me which is a great sign.
I so agree that there is nothing but ourselves that stops us and nothing is going to stop this journey continuing. I love this work so much.
Thank you Adriana I will definitely ask questions as things come up. I am re-listening to MP audio right now as I drive and redoing my Prac teacher notes again when I’m home
I will take another look at the forum โGeneral Q&Aโ under the Zoom Webinars tab for other questions.
Loving these learnings. Thank you for everything.

ParticipantHello all, I agree with Deb on the benefits of transcribing the audios I have spent 10 weeks doing this and also adding in my own learnings this certainly does help it sink in. To the point through most of my first NLP Prac training I just held I only had to refer to my notes a few times to ensure that I was delivering the correct flow of information.
I am about to start the TT Time Line Therapy transcribing and really looking forward to transcribing these as I love TL ๐
A great learning approach, the benefits are amazing

ParticipantHi everyone,
congratulations on your success stories with your trainings.I am part way through transcribing the Practitionar. I will be assisting the Practitioner Training in August in Melbourne and then a week later September 6 I start my first NLP Practitioner Training. It is up on my website and I am starting to promote it in other ways also. Prior to that I am running the Time Line Therapy (R) module last week in may and another last week in June. I also have booked in the 3 day hypnosis to run. These will create rollovers for my Practitioner in September.
So far I have one person booked into my Time Line Therapy (R) who has already expressed interest in doing the Practitioner. I have placed a goal in my time line for a full class of 20+ participants. Also because my psychotherapy practice brings in lots of marriage and couples, I have taken 3 couples through breakthrough sessions with great results that I will share on the success stories. Practicing NLP Time Line Therapy (R) & Hypnosis has revolutionized my work to the extent that I do believe I see miracles in the lives of my clients. So thank you Adrianna & Tad! Also, psychotherapy (particularly with traumatized persons) for last 20 years had become very taxing on me, but now when I practice I feel energized by it. It is truly wonderful and I’m so enjoying it. I will let you know how my enrollments go. Certainly, the transcribing is very much helping me to reinforce what I have learned, a refresher and building confidence in me for training.

ParticipantI have jumped ahead to this project, while working on #4 over the coming weekend. My first Prac training was last week, and even I was surprised by how much knowledge just came out of my mouth…and how much I enjoyed training. In fact, I am now so much more confident when working with my Breakthrough clients and I intend to continue to study/research more about the mind/body connection to deepen my knowledge. I also saw how NLP Prac training can help my clients double their income.
I am now working on improvements and refining the notes, as I don’t require as much content on most of the topics, and like Debra, adding more personal stories, metaphors and directing it to my niche (corporate/professional woman/leader)
Transcribing Master Practitioner, is next, sometime in the next few months – by end November if that is realistic (check my schedule.
My outcome from this project is to set up my schedule. Which I will do, after completing Project #4.

KeymasterExcellent Vasso. I am happy you found Tad’s advice (on the other thread) re your company name, valuable. Do the transition wisely and … more Practitiers to come. Oh, and one more thing. Do the “finding your niche” project before you decide on the new name. That will give you far more details which may add to clarity.

KeymasterExcellent post Debra. And is to this the most exciting feeling when one of your students gives you this type of feedback? It always makes my day, as it confirms that I actually had a positive impact and that someone took what I gave and make something good out of it. I bet it made yours! Great feedback. Wonderful!

ParticipantHi Everyone!
Congratulations everyone to you success and hard work! This is where the magic happens! We just finished out 7th but 1st Practitioner in a new city. Wow all dedication, time and energy paid off:) For the first 6 training I used a combination of the transcription from the audio and the note I have taking when I assisted Pract in the past. It worked great and excellent way to learn the content! This time we use new notes, more bulletin points, from the most resent pract with Steph and Shay in Orlando in April. We learned so much taking all the feedback from the last 6 trainings, analyzing it, to see when we got results and when we didn’t so much. Assisting again after doing a few training was priceless. We fine-tuned our content to be much more efficient, and easy to learn. The students seemed to get it easily and quicker. Most importantly we learned when and how to do great sales presentation for the next level training and how to seamlessly weave it in and out of the content. The best results yet for Roll Overs!!!! Also learned a lot from Laura and how she does her magic from the back of the room, as well in the negotiation process with the hotel. Thanks Everyone for your help:) BTW first time we used a hotel venue. That was interesting. Note to other trainers make sure know what the all the rooms around you are being rented out for the whole 7 day. We had churches all around us on Sunday, which was cool energy and at the same time got really noisy for Part integration presentation. We utilized everything so it all worked out:)
Also Thank you Adriana for Stretching us to do another pract a month after, we already have a couple of people booked in. Like you said some would would have scheduling issues and would roll over to the next training and we are getting lot of referrals
XOXO Deb Y

KeymasterHi Deb,
Finally I got back home after the Australia season so now I am back in the forum.
Congratulations for your last Practitioner! That’s exCtly how it works. Wow! What learnings!
Your learnings about modeling until you get as good as the experts and then make it yours are exquisite. Getting better and better at explaining the patterns of NLP and running the whole training that you eccrine is the path by which one – mind wise – grows into a master trainer. Also the experience with the hotel and the back of the room sales and rollovers… Yeah! Exactly! In fact, and interestingly enough, this was one of the most important feed back statements from the coaching assistants teams in Australia both for practitioner and master practitioner trainings. It was the greatest sales course they ever took. One of them being completely honest admitted that when she gets a no on the phone she used to put the phone down and get disappointed and maybe not even follow up later. She said that in the training room there were 16 days of “in your face” dealing with real people with real needs, and she could not “put the phone down”.
Many coaching assistants during the training have landed new coaching break-thoughts coaching client contracts and enrollments for their own trainings based on what they learned there. It was great to see them blosso and get into the their own power. The results we all did were very good – 200% rollover for practitioner and 426% RO for Master Practitioner training. I am clear that it was a team effort, staying focused on the real intention, cutting out all extraneous activities of the mind which pull the focus on other directions, and…. a lot of work. But there is nothing more satisfying for the soul than to see the students get into their own resourceful states – and really, really breakthrough massive limitations they put on themselves (or let others insert in their minds by accepting a limited model of the world, model based on fear and scfarcity).
In this field, there is so much to learn continuously and never ending! While helping others, the trainers have to deal with their own projections! It’s great! So I am with you 100% and very proud of your results.

ParticipantHi Adriana, and ALL!
Thank you for you support and feedback! Congratulations for AU team and all the students for making the next step in there evolution. What fantastic results!!!!! The student you are referring to is right by assisting in April I fine tuned my ability to congruently handle objections, reframe, and go in for the close all while having lazer focus on the outcome. I know that our results are because of what we learned. We are so grateful for the opportunity. Now on to the next! We have a pract coming up next month feeling a bit of a time crunch. I working on getting my # ‘s up. Set a goals and now being very carful of the pictures that I hold in my mind as I take action. With the help of a friend I realized the other day I was getting in scarcity mode with my focus. AND allowing LB perject on my prospects. So I am working on focusing only on the outcome and do what ever it take in my sales ability to assist them to enroll if there is a need. Just by that simple shift I enrolled a new student yesterday!! whahooo.
Next 3 weeks is We are working the referrals, calling our list of prospects, and going to networking again with our goal in mind!
Hope everyone is doing great!

KeymasterHello to All of my wonderful Master Trainer Colleagues. I am late in joining the program. I have just completed my first 3 day Hypno weekend for two people. I told myself โTad did his first training for 1 personโ. The training was awesome. My students loved it and complained when it was the end of the day because they wanted
to keep going ?. I now have 3 students signed up (deposit paid) for my first NLP Practitioner Training I am running in October. All my training just came to me. Thank you TJC ??. I also bit the bullet and started posting videos of me which was really uncomfortable for me but I am so glad I have done it.

Thank you Adriana, Tad and the whole TJC company, and also to my colleagues from the assisting team :). Powerfull and valuable learnings from them and from the students from the training room.
I have on client 100%(full paid) and 2 on pipe line, and I will teach it with 3+ students. I am writing my own notes, and … so on.
Regarding to the projects from the forum, 90% I made them in my mind and in my papers.
Thank you to everybody for sharing ideas and your experiences – Great learnings!

ParticipantIn July I ran a SCYF type seminar and enrolled one participant into my first prac. I was not really intending to run pracs, but what the hell, she was keen. I had not done any prep for prac. I started transcribing the CDs and was recommended to transcribe the DVD instead so started again. I had 2 months to get it all done as my student wanted to complete it during school holidays as she is a teacher.
Let me tell you, I was still transcribing the last day 5 minutes before she turned up on that last day! I so don’t recommend that tight a time frame, but wanted to share as I did what Laura and Adriana suggested in enrolling first and preparing second and I pulled it off. I now know myself to be someone who gets the job done under any amount of pressure and don’t need to test that theory any more! Conor said to me, “You are a diamond. Diamonds are only made under extreme pressure!” I must now be a diamond!
My next prac is in Dec. I have one client booked and paid and have a huge horse expo next week where I will get to do lots of promotion. I would like a dozen or so students for this prac. Bring it on!!

I have been focussing a lot of time on social media marketing and am finding the rewards dont justify the time invested. Very frustrating. Need to reevaluate.-

ParticipantMy first practitioner starts on Friday this week with 6 people. and 2 people signed up for the next one in April (after this one, I’ll start advertising more heavily and running some intros).
Feeling a bit nervous for the first prac…mainly just the demos but reading a great book at the moment that’s reminding me that:
“If we understand that the discomfort we feel is the dismantling of old attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions that have been repeatedly etched into our cerebral architecture, we can endure. If we can reason that the cravings we battle in the midst of change are real withdrawals from the chemical-emotional addictions of the body, we can ride it out. If we can comprehend that real biological variations are occurring from subconscious habits and behaviors in which our bodies are changing on a cellular level, we can forge on. And if we can remember that we are modifying our very genes from this life and from untold previous generations, we can stay focused and inspired to an end”.I had created a business plan for this year with a complete schedule and then my partner and I decided that we wanted to move to Australia and he’s only just applied for his NZ citizenship so that we can live over there…so we’re waiting to find out when we’ll actually be moving. So I’m going to run this prac, the one in April, probably June and then we can come back to NZ in November to run another one. Going to keep planning around our uncertain schedule.

ParticipantThanks Adriana and Conor ๐ I am excited too! I’m sure it will go well.
I was wondering… I’m not doing any morning sessions, 1-8pm for 8 days instead of 7pm.Do you think this schedule would work well?
Day 1: The introduction:frames, agreement, prime directives sensory acuity, rapport. Language Patterns, finishing with Milton Model.
Day 2: Metaphors, All SMD’s.
Day 3: All Anchoring & Strategies
Day 4: Reframing & start TLT
Day 5: TLT: LD, CYF.
Day 6: Hypnosis
Day 7: Hypnosis, pendulum & Coaching
Day 8: Re-do any exercises that need to be re-done, practice techniques with classmates, award certifications. -

Adriana James
KeymasterLooks good in general.
Some minor things to pay attention to.
I would do the reload of exercises if necessary immediately not in the last day. Based on feedback which needs to be as close as possible to the event to teach the UM rather than days later.
For example: If students have a problme with swish, by the time you taught TLT they forgot about swish already. And where is parts integration? I don’t see it on the schedule.
Are you also teaching what we call the NLPCoaching part which is the business application of NLP?
If you’re s trainer of NLPCoaching (sorry now I don’t remember if you took that training or not) you should teach that section too as many young people need the skills desperately to understand business for themselves and their future prosperity in life. Keep in mind that they are not taught any real business skills in schools or even universities. All they’re taught is how to preform inside gov organizations or corporations. In other words, how to be employed. But what if they want to be independent and work for themselves? It does not take longer than a morning or 2 segments to cover that at Prac level.
All in all, good! ?? -
January 30, 2019 at 11:50 pm #4577
Mia Butler
ParticipantOhhh yes ok didn’t think of it that way, will re-do the exercises straight away. Hopefully all will go well so we won’t need to redo any of it.
Ohh yes parts integration is on day 4 as the start of TLT, just after reframing.
And yes coaching I wrote up there is the end of day 7, after hypnosis.
Some pictures of set-up…

ParticipantMia,
Congrats on your first NLP Practitioner!
Here’s a thought for you about the sequence of your training, and feel free to reject this if it doesn’t work for you.
I like to finish up the coaching training before I do the hypnosis training. Hypnosis is so fun and so mind-blowing that the whole training winds up on a very positive note. My experience about this is that it’s very helpful in rolling people over into Master Practitioner or into coaching.
Best of luck on your Prac.

ParticipantSo I was working on Project #1, I released my away froms on my business value of “Prosperity,” and when I checked my email I had in my inbox my first inquiry about my NLP Practitioner… out of the blue. Magic!!! I have a web site up but I think this might have come from the ABNLP web site. I proceeded to freak out as all my fears hit me in the face at once.
Once I stopped hyperventilating and did some clean up work on those fears, I had a date in mind so I just went for it and emailed her back that… well yes I do have a Prac coming up! And asked for a good number to reach her at to discuss further. I’m in sales kindergarten here folks… every email and phone call is fraught with stress and nervous anticipation for me at the moment.
So I’m flying by the seat of my pants here… So is listening to the audios one of the requirements to be officially certified in NLP, TLT(R), etc? Do I need to buy those from TJC and send to my student(s)? I’m going through in my head… what the heck do I say on the call? Yikes! I mean 5 step sales process of course… I don’t even really know what my question is I just feel very unprepared to talk to anyone about my training so any tips are appreciated and I will look through the forum for other relevant posts as well.

KeymasterSales kindergarten!!? hahahaha I love it!!
You don’t need to buy anything…yet!
Focus on what you’re her offering at your upcoming Prac.1. Do you see yourself certifying in NLP, TLT(r), Coaching, and/or Hypnosis? –> if yes, talk about the benefits of those certs you’re going to offer
2. Be realistic about when you are delivering this Prac –> if you need to be certified in TLT and Coaching give yourself a couple of weeks (2 most likely) to complete all the necessary work to graduate with the Boards…. then tell her “I’ll be doing my Prac <<insert date here>>”
3. Have your pricing worked out before you call her (deposit amount and total price) based on the certs you are offering –> then you can tell her that when she places the deposit and sets a pay-in-full date she will receive her Pre-Study audio to start preparing over the next couple of weeks until she starts class with you on <<insert date here>>
4. When she deposits, call Deb LaRue in the US Office to buy T&A’s Prac pre-study audio for the Master Trainer discounted whole sale price and she’ll ship it directly to your student (Collect at least a $695-$895 deposit to cover your initial costs for materials and printing and coffee etc.)
5. Get cracking on printing her manual and ordering the books for her complete Pre-study (also available for Master Trainer discount at TJC Office)
6. Get certified as a TLT Trainer and Coaching Trainer (if you’re offering Coaching cert now)
7. Then prepare your trainingSo this is MAJORLY big picture… but the point is…sell her first NOW, then prepare your training!
It’s backwards thinking however you have a hot lead, close her on HOW the training will change her life…THEN you prepare yourself to deliver that value.READY. SET. GO!

ParticipantLaura, thank you!!! You da woman!!!!
Adriana, that’s too simple for me. Do you have anything more complicated so I can really struggle? ??
I think I did a no-no already in my ready fire aiming. I gave her my dates and location in Washington state, where I’m transitioning to over the next couple months, but then she came back and said do you have anything in Texas, where I am currently. So I said well no but I’m happy to set one up. Because realistically I’m willing to do a training even for only one person, and if it’s in Texas or Washington I don’t really care… the important thing for me is just to get it under my belt. But I never heard back so maybe I made myself look too small-time… or 100 other reasons why someone might not get back to you right away.
So was that too accommodating/wishy-washy? I kind of pinned myself in a corner specifying the location and I didn’t give her the answer she was looking for, so then I had to improvise to keep her interested. I have trouble finding that line between being the coach/trainer with strong boundaries and still being flexible based on the situation.

KeymasterAdam,
I think 1. you gave her a way out. When you said your Practitioner is in Washington state she already made a choice to ok going somewhere else as (based on what she told you) she’s looking for something locally.
And 2. From now on if you have decided to go through teaching of a Prac. anyway, then don’t tell potential customers that you don’t have one.No big deal, this comes as your first learning in PR and marketing.
Whether she comes back to you or not is not really relevant now. The point here is for you to be throughly decisive in what you want to do. The indecision inside you got projected outside into a potential customer.
One of the reasons for which I devised the Projects the way I did is exactly this. As you go through them you get a lot of clarity about who you want as a customer, what is your preferred niche, how to think about your individual position in the marketplace, etc. The more clarity you have, the more you will project potential customers which are responding in that way.
So, schedule clearly when would your first practitioner be. Put in your calendar. And then proceed to do FB announcements, talk to people you know and give them the brochure (there is a project about how to do your brochure and I think Marc MacDermott from the UK also had a good posting about this), stick a goal in your TL, decide on how many people you want in your first Prac (be realistic) and go for it 100%.
As an APEP graduate, you know that all incongruency from inside reflects far more powerful on your projections than before APEP. But also, all inner alignment and clarity projects outside far more powerful than before APEP.
So, Adam, trust yourself that your Prac will be just fine, and if you’re really decided to do one, then do it!
In terms of sales, please indeed as Cristina mentioned, look and read the section in Marketing NLP training about sales. It tells you from A to Z how to deal with a new and potential customer.
I hope this helps a little. One more thing. Knowing at each stage where you are in the 5 step process when you talk to a posterial customer makes all the difference in the world.
So as you have conversations with the potential customers, (and with some pimple it may take up to 7-8 repeated conversations) know where you are.
For example:
Now I am in the first phase – rapport.
Now I am in the building value and linking their needs to my training.
Now I am in the closing.Oops, now I have to go back and build more value… Yes, sometimes you have to go back and re-do
one step.
But what I am saying is to remain conscious at each step where you are.
Sometimes you get all the way to handling objections and you have to return to a previous step. That’s OK. People have different convincers. They need to hear it in different ways more than once.
Adam, welcome to the first steps in building your NLP business. This is great. More power to you! -

ParticipantThanks, Adriana. She did come back to me as it turns out. So trying to get her on the phone now.
And that makes a lot of sense about congruence and my projections. Have integrated a bunch of parts over the past week and that is helping a lot, and I can feel things getting easier and notice projections getting more favorable.
Will read the Marketing NLP section on sales as well.
Getting excited about the process now and realizing that this can be fun instead of stressful… a fun game to play ๐ Kind of like coaching!

KeymasterAdam, you got a very important realization. If it’s no fun, eventually it will become tedious, boring, dull and eventually lacking in interest to the point to cause mental weariness.
In fact, as you say, treat it as coaching. You ARE already coaching them to break through some of their limitations (which are the objections). Just by having them invest in themselves is a massive breakthrough.
People think that investments are only “out there” but in general don’t think that their own skill set, education is THE most important investment they will ever make. (Happy for you to use this reframe with her).
Think of it. People put their money (which is a result of their time and energy) in the markets, which are algorithmically traded, thus mechanical, in the hope they will get a …let’s say…10% return.
What if by investing in themselves, they do ONE single client, or job promotion, or better performance that gives them an ROI of 100%?
So let’s say they pay you $4000 for a Prac. Then they see one or two clients and get their money back depending of how much they charge. They’re breaking even, and they’re left with the new set of skills and education which comes free. For the rest of their lives. Skills they can apply in all areas of life not only in one small context, since their whole thinking has expanded.
Plus the techniques themselves!
So, yeah, it is fun.
Why don’t you put fun as a clustered value in your value No. 2?
Have it be part of the picture that represents that value… I wonder what would happen then?
Maybe all sales and enrolling people will really become a fun game ? -

ParticipantCall went great overall. Definitely room for improvement and Iโm working on cleaning up my objections/doubts/incongruities which she projected back at me.
I was able to build a lot of rapport because she does some work with peopleโs Akashic records, so I got to talk a little woo-woo with her and tell her that TLT is actually working with and cleaning up the Akashic record. She lives in a very conservative part of Texas so she feels isolated with her spiritual practices, so I told her that people like us are out there and we just need to find each other. She was pretty blown away by the spiritual interests we share. I also shared the short version of my oil business story and that went over well and helped build credibility.
Main objection is money, because she also wants to buy a house. She has doubt that she can find clients once she gets certified (my projection). She is VL4/6 and having trouble making money as a real estate agent.
She had to run to a meeting, but she said she will chew on what I told her, talk to her husband and call me back in 2 days. I know that Marketing NLP says these are signs of a low probability client, so bearing that in mind. I didnโt make her feel the pain of her need enough or clearly elicit values. There were just too many things going on for me to keep track of as I build this new neurology so I was having the learning to drive stick shift with my knee in the snow uphill kind of experience. My UM is still busy digesting all the data from this call and generating learnings and building neurology. So I learned a ton and the learning continues as I process what happened.
She may alternatively be interested in doing a coaching session. I think I built a solid new relationship that will turn into something at some point down the road, whether itโs immediate coaching or training. And that was my goal for this first effort was to focus on building rapport and making a strong personal connection, which I successfully did.
One of the main objections that came up in my own mind in relation to some of her questions about where I got trained, how much experimental I had etc, was just that: why would someone get training from me when they could go straight to TJC? She did actually talk to TJC and I guess she wanted something more local. Iโm sure that relates to the niche project that I havenโt completed yet ๐ But why would someone get training from someone with 3 years of NLP experience vs 30 years for the same price? If it were me I would go for the 30 years… in fact I did do that!

Keymaster2 things as feedback.
First of all, good job. Irs actually not as scary and as hard as one might think. It’s having conversation where you present your product, or idea, or yourself. You do this every day, but now, because it’s about “selling” it seems all that more complicated, and it is not. So again well done. Now to improvements.
One, do not let the client tell you when they’re calling you back. You best lash when YOU are calling them back based on when they have time. Create a double bind – in two days during morning or afternoon? And then establish the exact time. Then make a reminder for yourself and call.
Two. I don’t know if you remember I was telling you in TT that you need to find what is called your uniqueness. Why indeed someone should want to take a training from you and not from TJC? Why would someone come to TJC and not go to Tony Robbins? Same thing.
What’s unique about what you have to offer? What’s uniques about YOU? What’s uniques about your background VS someone else’s? Your bad? Your location? Etc.
Small trainings with very small number of people so they can get the absolute full attention and dedication of the trainer? I don’t know.
You need to spend some time thinking of what makes you unique.
You’re not in competition only with NLP businesses, but with any other business in personal development, yoga, spiritual stuff, etc. Etc….Yeah, it’s all in the manual in the Marketing NLP
But all in all, congratulations. You broke the ice and you did well. This is the only way to learn. You’re on your way!! Keep going.
I hope this helps!

ParticipantYes, that does help. Thanks, Adriana.
I realized after reading your email that there was another strong projection in that call. The client’s presenting problem is that she’s having trouble deciding “what she wants to be when she grows up” (she said she’s an older woman)… which is the same process I’m going through making changes in my own life and going through these forum projects. So as you predicted, the projection was pretty spot on in terms of the challenges I’m working through at the moment.
Also in terms of me setting the date that I will call her back, I did notice that I had some hesitancy to be in charge and to be the authority figure. And that probably stems from not having a clear and congruent enough idea where I’m going yet, so hard to lead others if I don’t know where I’m leading them.
So in general, more work to do getting congruent and defining what I want my business and life to be like when I grow up ๐

ParticipantAdam,
I did struggle a lot with not having or finding my purpose in this life, a long term goal, trying to get a rational and conscious answer to that deep question. Some precise path or plan or goal for the rest of my life.
And all struggles ended when I realized that having that answer now is not needed. That I can wait for it to manifest at the right time at the right place.
So what to do in the meantime? I have the goal to learn, grow and evolve everyday to become a better person, man and father. Thatโs my main focus and the best way to be prepared to when I am ready and discover my โcallโ or purpose.
And for me it is key to make sure to work and keep a healthy balance in all four planes of existence – spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. And making sure I am also enjoying the process, being present, more aware and conscious.
Best
Alejandro

Keymaster1. Build rapport.
2. Find a need (ask questions like what made you search for BLP, what do you want to accomplish, and then listen carefully. Be sincerely curious about this elrskn’s problems and motivation. If you ask enough questions you’ll find a need pretty soon.
3. Link the need to your Prac.
4. Close
5 Handle objections.

Cristina Moise
ParticipantHi,
I really like the 5 steps sale process the way it is explained in the Marketing your NLP CD #7. I think the guidance on how to make sales really make sales look like magic ๐ Main things I kept from there: create rapport and note down clients words, elicit the values, decision making strategy and show genuine interest in assisting the client solve his problem. A good sales call for me is one where the client does most of the talking.
My fist prac did not take place as I was holding the belief that I was not prepared enough. Doing things “perfect” versus just “getting things done” kind of conflict and I realized that true learning only happens only when you practice.
So the 2nd and the 3rd prac took place and they were pure joy both for the participants and myself. I realized how important it is to be motivated by “towards” sort of values and holding the firm belief that in one way or another things will turn out fine, and they did turn out fine. I had my notes with me, everything I learned in NLP and outside NLP thus far and good old Milton model….just in case I forgot something, sooner or later, just using Milton would get me out of any situation.
Adam – I liked your post from another thread on how you woke up at 5am every morning and gave everything you had in you for the success of your family business – not only I think it would be a great metaphor for your Prac but it shows that by staying focused and taking action you can achieve your goals and make happen the things you want in your life. All the best for your first Prac and future ones as well!-

ParticipantThank you, Cristina, thatโs great advice. Yes I think I really burned myself badly and abused my poor UM for those 3 years out in the oilfield, so now itโs throwing a fit saying, you want to start another business and go through that again??? Are you nuts!!?? So the values clean up exercise has been very revealing… lots of parts and conflicts. But I will just keep going and soon enough things will open up, as per Adrianaโs metaphor at TT. Thanks for the encouragement, Cristina!! That helps a lot!

ParticipantFirst prac done! Wow absolutely amazing experience, best time of my life, seeing how in love everyone was, seeing the transformations of everyone, just seeing the joy… with every new thing that they learnt they were shocked at how amazing and useful NLP/TLT/Hypnosis is, in their lives! I’m really proud of myself, I could really confidently answer any questions and they all really respected me, which was cool since all but 1 were at least 10 years older…
I had 8 days planned, finished everything quite quickly so day 8 ended up being a really cool day where everyone got to practice what they wanted to practice, get their notes organised in a good way for them and just let all the information sink in.
Got 5/6 sign-ups to Master Prac and have got a couple referrals to my next prac in April. Hoping to have around 6-8 (currently 2 confirmed & another 2 about to sell today). I really loved having 6, it seemed like a perfect number for my first one.
Feedback: all exceeded expectations 10/10. Just need to be better with my pre-training communication + probably next time need to have desks. Some people weren’t very comfortable, hence why everyone was lying all over the ground hahah…
I was only nervous about my demo’s really. Other than that everything went really really well! First day I was really not myself, slept poorly, felt sick, hardly could eat. Then it was like my body adapted day 2 and the rest felt really natural, I was on a high , as was everybody else.
My demo’s went ok…anchoring was quite embarrassing, person was not going into state, and I still anchored! I knew what it wasn’t right but i kept going!! Did make mistakes in both swish & like to dislike as well, although both still worked and such small mistakes, they didn’t notice. Parts integration went really really well though… on the bright side.
95.5% pass rate on test.
I was quite surprised at the amount of people that wanted to do master prac, I thought my little shpeal about it seemed really awkward. I was nervous, because at this stage I am not quite ready to teach it. Still need to transcribe it all and it was quite high level thinking, I understood everything… probably just not at the level I feel I would need to be to teach it. I’m sure I will be, just need to do the transcribing, and read and understand more about the body, healing, etc… Would be great to assist at a Master prac again before I do mine in November, although I think you’re all full… Can try looking for graduates who are running them ๐
A few questions…
1. In the test it’s got the rep system for “brilliant” is Visual… could I please get an explanation for that? I don’t really see how brilliant actually fits into any rep system.. it’s more of an adjective.
2. Tips to help with pendulum. Some people were hardly able to get the pendulum to move, some still had their problem after 1 day which is when the UM said it would be gone by. For me, it took a while before I had that kind of rapport with my UM, now it swings so big and immediately but at first it was barely moving. Do some people need to build the relationship first or any tips?-

ParticipantMIA!!!
This is AMAZING news!!! I love your very real feedback with yourself about how well it went and…how there’s room for growth in some areas.I want to answer all the questions that I can that you have posted:
~ about the use of the word “brilliant” I can’t see how it isn’t visual. Whether it’s used as and adjective, noun, or adverb when you hear someone using this word it, gives you information about the person, especially followed or surrounded by other words like “see” “view” “bright” “imagine” “crystal clear” And also we have to think about how we use this word in the English language to describe someone’s brilliance or if someone is brilliant it’s just a way of describing the mental acuity of a person. If there are no other visual keywords surrounding, that word brilliant may not give us any information about rep systems. I hope this makes sense.~In response to your second question, I think you’re exactly on the right track. Pendulum has to do with your relationship with your UM, therefore developing a good relationship with your UM is really the cornerstone of all hypnosis/pendulum work, etc. I think you’ll also find the more you do it the better you’ll get. That’s a good message to share with your students. Also the placement of the pendulum demo and exercise is at the end of the training so your students have had all week to begin a really solid relationship with their UM. So reminding them to maintain this relationship after class and on their journey towards Master Prac will allow them to do so.
Remember NLP is a learn by doing science, and practice is a perfect place to perfect our practice, right?Hope that helps, Mia! Keep coming back!

We just finished helping at a three day modern hypnosis training in Brisbane and I really enjoyed it. For me, the learning went deeper. I have my first NLP Prac starting this coming Saturday. Have transcribed the audio, have the slides, have the room about 80% ready. A number of tasks to tick off this week and over the next few weeks. I have my SMART goal. Following Prac, I have 3 day Modern Hypnosis and then in late March, Master NLP Coach (4 students so far….). Action, Action, Action! Just love it…

ParticipantCongratulations on your first Practitioner, Mia; well done! Like you, I find Practitioner to be great fun, and Adriana says Master Practitioner is even more fun!
In response to your first question, many of my British colleagues say “Brilliant!” to mean “Perfect” or “Excellent!” Thus “Brilliant could be an adjective. However, at least here in the good ol’ US of A, a very, very bright light can be said to be “Brilliant.” So in that context, “Brilliant” is Visual.
Secondly, when I have a student who struggles a little with moving the pendulum, I suggest during the calibration that he or she say silently, “Signal for yes, signal for yes, signal for yes” or “signal for no, signal for no, signal for no,” etc. This creates conscious-unconscious cooperation (always a good thing) and as the student sees the pendulum start to swing in bigger and bigger arcs, it builds confidence and serves as a great convincer! My experience is that this works very well!
Hope that helps!

Well done Mia, Great work you have come so far from your first practitioner training and your dream from the beginning to run your own training has come to fruition.
I know how much this meant to you from our many phone conversations so I’d like to say a massive congratulations you’ve obviously done an exceptional job great work on your roll overs.
Now your first questions was answered incredibly well by Laura, One thing I’d like to add to the 2nd question you have asked is that I believe one of the keys to creating rapport with your Conscious and Unconscious mind is ENCOURAGEMENT, remember the Conscious mind is growing up to be a guiding parental figure much like the HCM is to the CM. So the more encouragement the CM can give to the UCM the greater the rapport between the two and greater the results the UCM will produce.
Hope this helps.

ModeratorHello all, thank you for the great sharing and congratulations to you all! Well, did prac and then did 3 days hypnosis training one after the other. Why not…. 10 days straight. It was energizing and I learned so much! One thing I learned is although I wanted to be 150% organized for the students and the training…. being flexible with oddities that arise is just as important. The questions we had were good ones and I learned from those. Being in flow. Preparing for the next one now. For a laugh, we appointed our 16 year old cat to the position of room support officer.. he just slept on the job though….

10 days straight is not easy to do especially at the begginkng. So all my respect for your effort and great results.

ParticipantHi Everyone
I ran my first Practitioner Training back in January with 2 students. We alternated between their house and my house and I was surprised how easy it was and how much content I actually knew. My biggest fear was answering questions as I had limiting beliefs I would know the answers. All the answers came easily and effortlessly when the time came. It was an amazing experience that solidified that I know my “stuff”. My students loved it and have already started a coaching business for mothers with young children.

ParticipantI completed my first NLP (only) prac ion 14th February 2020.
I had 3 students in the prac and I ran it from home.
I had many excellent opportunities to learn and really did stretch myself. It was amazing and I loved it.
I am delivering my first 8 day prac in April.
Currently completing my TLT trainers and my coaching.

ParticipantHi Conor
I learnt that I know more than I think. That I am good at this. That I need to give myself more credit.
I learnt that I need to ensure I have better self care during the training which will come from being better prepared. Have my sessions finalised before I start, ensure there is minimal prep between sessions, have a daily tasks list so I don’t forget things (like my anchor song!)
I learnt that I am playing too small and that small does not necessarily equal easier.
I also discovered through the questions of the participants that areas in which I can further develop my own expertise.
I found some limiting beliefs lingering and this gave me the opportunity to address these!
It became apparent to me the effects of running training on me as the trainer and by teaching, demonstrating and assessing the opportunity to level up that comes with that.
It was epic.

KeymasterWhat a list of lessons – invaluable and thank you for sharing – some of them resonated with me also.
I especially loved – ‘playing too small does not necessarily equal easier’ – what a presupposition and believe to eliminate!
Keep up the fantastic work Gen and looking forward to seeing more of these ๐

ParticipantExciting times Gen!!! I am so proud of your accomplishment! You’ll be that much stronger and ready to deliver a full 4 certification training!!
I have noticed with each training i’ve assisted and have seen that the trainers become exponentially better with each training they deliver and this is the very exciting thing about being an instructor in this field, you can expect so much growth every time you deliver a training. Even if you think you’re the best you can be and that there’s no way to get better…then you sit in front of your next group of students and there you are, transforming your excellence yet again! ๐ -

ParticipantI’m completing my first virtual NLP Practitioner training the end of June. I had 10 students. I ran it slightly different than usual (I made it a longitudinal 6 month program rather than an intensive 8 day). I taught weekly for 2 hours during this time and was able to get through all of the material. For a couple of techniques I had a couple of friends come to my home and be demo subjects (for most others I used the class to demo virtually). I was surprised at how effective it was. I gave them specific homework each week to go out and practice the technique of the week after each class at the end. They are to submit videos as part of their final exam (along with the written). I know it is a non-traditional way to teach, and I was being flexible for the circumstances and the market (and I started prior to starting the MT program).
I learned SO MUCH from this experience AND I’m looking forward to my next training which is September 15-22nd (live and in person, yay).
I have 1 registered, a couple who are getting their money together for a registration this month. My goal is 10 (I put it in my future time line). From the first training, I really get the world of staying on a time line (even with weekly trainings). I got comfortable with my metaphors, answering questions, and quite frankly preparing each week and teaching deepened my own awareness and comfort with the techniques. I noticed that as a result of teaching I expanded my own use of techniques I had somewhat gravitated away from (because of my coaching niche).
But I found other areas to use them (like with my son, my sisters, and my mother). This use made for more examples for the class.
I’m re-organizing now for September as I understand it’s going to be a whole different animal to do the training in 8 days. Looking forward to the challenge!

ParticipantI’m so glad I assisted in the July Practitioner training. I’m looking forward even more to my September training.
As I’m thinking about my November training, I’m now thinking of offering it virtually (due to COVID kicking up again).
I’m also looking at creating a training similar to my longitudinal training with a live GRADUATE weekend component. One thing that worked really well with my last class is that I ended up having a graduate skills weekend. They had already gone through the training virtually, but I wanted them to see, do, and feel the techniques live and in person. They loved it. It has given me new options for the future should I choose to do a training like this again (which I’m considering as an option).
For now, I’m focusing on September. After that is complete, I will re-evaluate my options for delivery for November and beyond. I honestly like having a couple of options to deliver for different personality types.
