ParticipantI have never considered myself a sales person and until taking NLP would shy away from it unless somebody came to me. After my first Prac training in Vegas with Stef and Shay I took notice and realized we all sell and if someone has a need and we have a valuable product it is linked. That stuck with me and it was all I needed. Recently, I was in one of my favorite stores LuLulemon in Fort Lauderdale purchasing some more items and there was a slight issue with my returning an item as it was on final sale. I had bought it as a gift and it was the wrong size. Anyway, the manager came over to me to help resolve the return. I told her I was a yoga teacher next door and had bought it for my granddaughter and they were the wrong size. She said to me, oh yes I have taken your classes and I love it. Of course, I said thank you and then proceeded to tell her I always wear my LuLu’s either at my retreats, running around town, and even when I am coaching my clients. To cut a long story short, I told her I am a coach and I also train others to be coaches, which transform their lives and the lives of others. She said OMG I want to be a coach, I also work as Fitness Coach and want to coach my clients as well and help motivate them with some different techniques. But I don’t know what to do. She then said, my mother keeps telling me I need to do NLP. She is a psychologist and is an NLP Practitioner. I said to her – oh my imagine that – I am an NLP Trainer and would love to certify you in NLP Prac, would that interest you to know more about it right now or later. She said later. I took her card and left her a message to return my call and if I did not hear back I would call her back later.
Anyway, she has signed up to do my next prac and has paid :-). However, the next piece is – through our conversations, she has asked me to do workshops at LuLulemon with her team in Fort Lauderdale. (LuLulemon is a big proponent of Landmark and sends all their employees there – I would like to change that to be a big proponent of NLP). She is coming over this afternoon to discuss the first one workshop for June. Woohoo – years ago I would not have even recognized this as a sale. She is very excited and so am I.
Thanks for listening. Deb

ParticipantDeb!!! This story is sooo good and shows us how easy “sales” can be!!! Remember sales is as simple as you have put it in the story above. You have a product that is great, your client has a need, you guided your client on how to attain the product that they needed, and they purchased! On top of that she knows others who need what you sell….this is how it works! I am happy you put this success story on the forum! Get those LuLu’s trained in NLP Debra!! The ripple effect that you have created is real! 🙂

ParticipantHey Laura. I got from what you said that sales can be easy. It can be as easy or hard as you want to make it. Clearly I have been running a LD that I don’t like sales and selling is hard!! Onto it! I actually love selling when it flows like Debs. Who would have thought? Creating a mission of ease around sales! Thanx
