Everything is about your time and energy

      1. Turn the TV off. Stop watching TV. Watching TV equals giving away your life. If you stare at the main stream TV thinking that you get informed, I urge you to think again and do a little research on how the corporations ruling the main stream make their money. It’ll be an eye opener.

      2. There are only 2 commodities in life: your time and your energy.

Stop everything you’re doing online that could involve mining your data
Video games, porn, surfing the web aimlessly, spending inordinate amount of time posting the pictures of your cat, dinner etc., gambling…. Nobody cares anyway. And these activities rob you of your time not to speak of creating addictions which destroy your brain.

I am also running a business that requires me to be online. But what I am saying to stop all activities that rob you of your time, because they don’t serve building your power and control over your life.

      3. Stop spending your money on foods and drinks that don’t serve your health. Sugar laden sodas, alcohol, drugs, and the like. You will have the money to consume organic non GMO foods and spike your health – mental, emotional and physical health. You don’t control the world, but you can control your own choices thus you can control your life. Make the right choices. Blaming the governments of the world for your own misfortune is misplaced cause and effect.

      4. Start with the belief that you have the power to change your life and you can do it now.

      5. Reduce the people and institutions in your life that drain your energy – the life force you can direct beneficially otherwise.

If you’re on an elevator that only goes to the first floor and you’re going to the basement, you gotta get off.”
      Catherine Austin Fitts

      6. Anybody who’s dragging you down, you gotta get out of your life. Anybody without integrity, anybody using you for their purposes and their needs irrespective of yours… at least limit your exposure to them.

      7. What to know. Research. Look at successful people and ask them what are they doing. Model them.

      8. There is no privacy about you anymore. Stop giving corporations creating control files on you. Pornography for example is a way of creating a control file on you.

      9. This may sound harsh but it is the truth. Not everyone is going to make it. There are people who will not want to make it. Focus on those who do. There are plenty of those around. It’s time to help those. Anything you can do for them is well invested time. Stop asking Alexa for advice and start thinking for yourself. Stop using your phone next to your head. Use special head sets – blue tube (not bluetooth) are the most effective for preventing damage to your brain.

9a. If you’re the prayer type do that. If you do meditation, do that. put out requests in the Universe which are of peace, prosperity and well-being for all human beings. Increase your coherence and congruence.

      10. Take the morning first hour just for you. Make a plan for the day and follow that plan. Refuse to be reacting – become pro-active. Stop responding in a Pavlovian fashion.

      11. Make sure your environment is s clean as possible. We all live in an environment that is toxic. Ground, food, water, air… Build your immune system. You need to be able to think clearly in this environment. A toxic body leads to a toxic mind. Look for alternative modes of healing rather than toxic drugs.

      12. Look at people around you. Do they exult life force energy or are they moving around like zombies? Encourage people to invest in themselves.

      13. Protect yourself from EMF radiation. Turn WiFi off during the night in your house. Turn the phone off (not airplane mode). Ground yourself, spend time in the sun. Optimize your vitamin D3. Learn to read labels on the food you consume. Support the clean organic restaurants and local food markets with your purchases. Buy wholesale. It takes a little intelligence and organization initially, but it will help you to a level which is almost incomprehensible while on processed or GMO laden foods.

      14. Invest wisely. Wall Street is run by algorithms not by human beings. As such it can be hacked and manipulated. So is crypto-currency market. Be careful where you invest your money. You are the greatest investment. Aside from that I cannot say much. I am not an investment advisor and I am not giving you investment advice.

      15. If there is any way you can, pay off your local debts wisely and without strain. Invest in yourself to be able to think better and create more strategies for making more money. Learn new skills. Get off the couch and organize your life differently. Use your time and energy for your own purposes.

      16. Get literate about how money really works. Do not trust your financial advisor who may know less than you do. Learn for yourself. Ask pertinent and well informed questions which require you educating yourself ahead of time. This is part of the skills you need to acquire for and by yourself. Be looking for opportunities that – aside from you and your business – also improve your local community. Think local – that’s where you operate your business even if you have access to the world though Internet.

Very sound advice, Adriana – thank you!
some of the points will be easier than others and some will require more focus and action – it’s really about how we create (and uncreate) habits. repeating a behaviour over and over will create one. which is both the bad news and the good news.

Feedback please, gals and guys – please do share your experiences and challenges. and results and resolutions – for all to learn something out of that. Thank you ???

      Hi Adriana

This post is so valuable. Thank you.

I find that when I use my mornings to map out my day ahead sitting in my garden or a peaceful place and I mean map out by doing things like writing, visualizing etc, I feel like my energy takes a leap into another ‘dimension’. I am excited and my positive state says it all. The flow on effect? Well, I have energy to do what I want. Oxford dictionary defines energy as the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity…

This takes me to point 15…investing in self leads to opportunities and helps us uncover the resources we have so we can use them better and also add the resources we want to help us achieve what we want.

Point 4 is very true. We have the power to change our lives and we can do that now. Take action.

All the points are great and have me wondering..

      Thanks Adriana!

Thank you Gina. Wondering and contemplating is good but not enough. Take action. you can change those things that need changing today. There is no excuse.
Not for you Gina anyway! LOL

Adriana, thanks for your post on how to best focus our time and energy. I appreciated being reminded of these suggestions.

I have a question regarding an upcoming presentation that I am facilitating next week for a group of ex-CEOs. They have all sold their businesses and are looking to find purpose and meaning in this next phase of their life (it is a mastermind group that will meet every month for a year, and I am speaking at their first meeting). If you had 2.5 hours with this group, how would you use that time to best help them?

      Thanks,
      Vered

        Hi Vered,

        1. Every presentation you do should have multiple purposes. One of the most important for you as an NLP and TLT trainer is to direct people in their understanding that they have to think differently if they are to have a purpose for living a free and inspired life. Therefore one of the purposes you have and the most important is to have people come and take your NLP Practitioner. That presupposes that you have already one scheduled, with dates, location, etc.
If you don’t, then to the very least and less desirable is to have them take a breakthrough session with you. The purpose for that still remains to eventually to enrol them in your training.
        2. With that in mind, do a group discovery of their values (have them write down as a group exercise directed by you) what’s important to them about their career, or even what’s important to them about their life. Do that as you learned in the MP, until their buffer runs out three times. Don’t worry about motivation and threshold values at this stage. It’s group work.
This means that you need to talk a little about values as being individual and that there are no such thing as good and bad values.
        3. Based on that then do a goal setting. Inserting a goal in their TL. Which means you need to do a group TL elicitwtion (if you are unsure how to do all of the above, listen to the SCYF recording, you have there the example Tad and I did during a weekend). So, people who don’t have a direction, or lost their position as EX anything (in your case ex CEOs) who now have lost their territory, they need to find a new territory and quickly. To find a new purpose for living, and for enjoying life. It is not true that older people are useless and yet many who lost their compass due to retrenching, believe that. It’s inevitable. “I lost … And now I am useless”.
        4. Setting goals, finding through values what it is important to them will lead to at least more if not real clarity about something else they can do now. That gives them a new purpose. They can build on last experience, as everyone has a different life-skill-set.
        5. So, what would they like to do? What are they passionate about? (Comes out of their values). If they have unclear values, then here is another reason why they should see you. So, at every step insert why they should see you or take a training from you. I don’t know what is your agreement with the organizers (I.e. If you’re allowed to sell your trainings or coaching services). Even if you’re not, you can covertly insert this all over the place as a big WHY.
        6. Use multiply embedded appropriate metaphors, and maybe do a TLT demo with one participant. Remember these demos are not to teach anything but to incite curiosity and excitement that there is some “magic” they can learn or that you can do to assist them.
        7. You can also talk a little about TLT as a modality to allow them to get over the past and envision a new future. The demo should be letting go of anger (the first emotion) on one single event. ONE SINGLE EVENT – not the whole gestalt. Pick a demo subject with anger who wants to let it go, make it obvious. Meaning everyone should see the person angry (very visible physiology) before and with lack of anger after. Tell them that all old emotions are still stored in the body, and they prevent one form even envisioning the future as they are stuck in the past.

The way I described things above is not necessarily in the right order and sequence. Values elicitwtion would be first, TLT and goal setting next. But you need to be short, concise, cut out all the info you’d like to put in but which does not serve your purpose, 2 1/2 hours is not that much. So you need to be very concise, and clears and fast.

Look also at project No 25. I answered another trainer participant and made it into a project based on her questions. This will also help with how to think about what to do in situations like this. The basic principles remain the same regardless whether you have a 2 hour intro or a hypnosis weekend.

I hope I have you some idea as to how to proceed.

This post is great – caught me mid friend texting.
My question is this: My personality style (I know, programming myself), I need lots of social interaction. When I’m working from home, I’ll be productive and then need a break where I can interact with others. This leads me to social media. I don’t like it, but there it is. Maybe more puppy playing! Or going to the cafe for a juice…unsure. What are your thoughts?

      • #4306

Sure you can interact with people even on social media, or go out at a coffee shop and interact with people there. My point is not to waste time and become unconscious about time flying by. Schedule the amount of time you need for relaxation and interaction and stay true to your program.
If you get on social media and forget to get off and hours later you discover that it has eaten your time for the day, that’s time wasted.
Make a parallel. Some people need to talk LIVE with others. They go for lunch, or gather around the water fountains in the building, and yet they don’t stay there for hours…. Others go for a coffee but don’t drink that coffee for hours unless they’re doing that in avoidance for doing the work they should do. But that’s another issue.
The problem with social media is that it catches you and the time flies by so quickly. You need to be very through time with the “friends time”. With or without social media.
Absolutely you need to be diepscerning carefully between your personal needs and respect them -think of this as boundaries issue from our APEP discussion – needs described by your metwprograms and values, and the “need for completion” of your daily goals. That without having to stay awake until midnight because you wanted time on superfluous activities. An organized day works better than a chaotic one. And it gives you in the evening a feeling of great accomplishment which include achievement and self fulfilling strategies.
Time and energy are your most precious commodities.

I think I have answered my own question.
      1) List fun activities e.g. writing a blog
      2) Playing with puppy
      3) Going to the cafe for a juice
      4) Comment on the Master Program Forum…hehe

Give yourself a time limit for the boring tasks. When you have had enough of the task you’re doing, choose a fun task.Make sure the list is nearby – closer than your phone!

      Any other thoughts?

Why not change the SMDs of the boring tasks into just “tasks that would make me feel batter about myself”?

Amazing and very complete set of recommendations, thanks very much Adriana.
What has worked for me is making sure I take care of all the different planes: spiritual, pray every day, go to Synagogue every Friday; mental, focus on what I want, meditation twice per day; emotional, TLT, HST; physical, eat healthy (Keto, organic), exercise.
My current main drive is to keep learning, growing, evolving. Everyday when I go to bed I ask myself if I have learned, grown or evolved today, and make sure the answer is Yes!
      Sending positive energy to everyone!

Thank you Adriana, I’ve only just begun this “clean up” journey and this post came at a perfect time. I realised that I have to be in the best possible shape/state in order to provide the best possible service to my clients and the people around me. My first 2 step is to stop everything that takes my time and energy away from what I want; and to purposefully be with people that is interested in growing and becoming better. The recommendations here are useful guide for me as I put them in place, so wait for my arrival on the other side! More power to everyone!

Once you make the change you’ll see that it is actually not difficult.
In general people think it is difficult because they think it is hard to get out of complacency of their own life habits.
But …this is all they are – habits.
We know through NLP and TLT we can change that in an instant.
To your success Adan’s thank you for your good wishes. I take it as a suggestion. ?

      10. Take the morning first hour just for you. Make a plan for the day and follow that plan. Refuse to be reacting – become pro-active. Stop responding in a Pavlovian fashion.

This is a huge one for me. I have been struggling with planning and time management for years. Here’s my cycle.

I decide I need to “get organized” and start planning. There are so many things that I want to do that I create an impossible gauntlet schedule for myself. I promptly burn myself out and rebel against the schedule, going back to my perceiverly ways and work on what I want to in the moment. Now granted, what I do end up doing is usually something productive–I am constantly working on SOMETHING–but not necessarily the thing I originally set out to work on. Kind of like this post right now!

So after a while of being a perceiver and not being clear on where I want to go and therefore not getting there, I start feeling antsy and decide I need to get organized…

Probably I’m being hard on myself because that’s part of the pattern too… set unrealistic expectations and then feel inadequate/frustrated when I don’t achieve them.

Another big part that ties into all this in sleep. I haven’t been able to get myself on a regular sleep schedule. That’s part of my rebellion against myself… if I can’t get the time to do the stuff I want to do during the day, or not enough of it, I’ll stay up late to work on fun things. Then I wake up late and my whole rhythm gets thrown off, which wastes tons of time and energy.

So I keep finding that when I set aside time to do something, when the time comes I want to do something different. So being a perceiver gives me the flexibility to “go with the flow.” Plus I don’t know what opportunities or fires might pop up that I will have to or want to react to, so making a plan feels too restrictive… I feel like a slave to my own schedule that I set… talk about incongruent! HELP!!!

I have tried changing the direction of my timeline but it doesn’t seem to want to stay there… probably parts involved as well.

I hope this isn’t going in my control file… 😉

You say: “I decide I need to “get organized” and start planning. There are so many things that I want to do that I create an impossible gauntlet schedule for myself.”

Solution: prioritize better. Many things everything we want to do we don’t get to do. The point is to always do whats most important on that list (read what’s in your values – thus herein lies the solution – change your values so they represent what you want opt achieve).
Also you can really do this. take 3 stacks of 3/5 index cards. On one put whats important – this is numbered 3. On the next one put what’s reaaaaally important – this is numbered 2. And on the third one put what’s Oh S**********t! Must do now, or else! this is numbered 1.
You’ll see that by the time you’re done with stack one and part of stack two, stack three becomes meaningless. 🙂

You say: “I promptly burn myself out and rebel against the schedule, going back to my perceiverly ways and work on what I want to in the moment. Now granted, what I do end up doing is usually something productive–I am constantly working on SOMETHING–but not necessarily the thing I originally set out to work on. Kind of like this post right now!”

Solution: More efficient time management. I have plenty to do every day as you can imagine, and I allocate 1-2 hours for the forum depending on the questions. Allocate time for everything and stick to that time management. Cut out everything that does not let you get to the most important goals you set for yourself for the day.

You say: “Probably I’m being hard on myself because that’s part of the pattern too… set unrealistic expectations and then feel inadequate/frustrated when I don’t achieve them.”

Solution: You most likely are hard on yourself but this is one of the prerequisites of high achievers, as well. That’s not the problem. The problem is with setting goals and the PATIENTLY and in an organized fashion working towards them. Daily goals. Chunk down to daily goals. It’s the action and the fashion you take that action that makes things happen. Wanting to want something (as you know) does not equal really wanting and DOING everything it takes to make those things happen. Adam I know you know all these things. Out of all the people in the world I know you do.

You say: “Another big part that ties into all this in sleep. I haven’t been able to get myself on a regular sleep schedule. That’s part of my rebellion against myself… if I can’t get the time to do the stuff I want to do during the day, or not enough of it, I’ll stay up late to work on fun things. Then I wake up late and my whole rhythm gets thrown off, which wastes tons of time and energy.”

Solution: I have the same problem. not enough time for all I want to do. But there must be a balance between what you “must” do, and what pleases your soul. What you want to do! So again time organization to fit both. and some days there will be more of “must do” and less of what you want to do and others the other way around. What’s the absolute cut-off time you must go to sleep to be functional the next day? Hard to say. In the training season for me is 9:30. Now that I am not training, it can be as late as 10:30 although I know I function much better with 9:30… but I am a little more relaxed as if need comes, (and rarely does) I can afford a little nap at lunch time. Sometimes that’s possible, sometime it’s not. but I know that there is a price to pay for being undisciplined with my sleep. And then I fit research which is one of my absolute values for reasons too long to discuss here, in the morning as I am able to wake up earlier and be very refreshed if I go to bed earlier. so I am not giving up what I love to do, and what’s important to me, but I am shifting time around to fit all and be well.

You say: “So I keep finding that when I set aside time to do something, when the time comes I want to do something different.”

Solution: So make up your mind especially if what you want to do is really important. If it’s not, no big deal! Or if it can be postponed (realistically) then don’t fret about it. It’s that dreaded word : discipline.

SOLUTION for to do next. And it’s ALL about values. Incongruency and incoherence in your values. and maybe away froms. But most likely incongruency and therefore conflicts.
Elicit you values in all areas of life, figure out conflicts (MP manual), do TLT or HST (since you are an APEP graduate), Integrate the parts with the conflicts. Then look in between areas of life for values that conflict with each other. It is possible that one area conflicts with another, or values in one areas conflict with some values on another. Integrate conflicts here too. and don’t go for what i want now. that’s the UM trowing a fit. the UM needs to listen and be guided by the CM. hint: look at No.6 in your APEP daily meditations – who is guiding the UM? the UM will always go for what it wants NOW. but that does not mean it should be that way. UM needs to be trained correctly. by the CM. Lovingly but firmly. It is also one of the presuppositions of the UM.

You say: “So being a perceiver gives me the flexibility to “go with the flow.” Plus I don’t know what opportunities or fires might pop up that I will have to or want to react to, so making a plan feels too restrictive… I feel like a slave to my own schedule that I set… talk about incongruent! HELP!!!

Solution: I don’t know why you have an equal sign between missing opportunities and being a non-perceiver (i.e. through time) where there is none.
Really! You can be a thinker or a perceiver at any time according to the momentary needs. The idea that you must be this or that only is binary, dichotomous, and not useful. Be a through timer when you need to, and a perceiver – in timer when you want to. Take advantage of those opportunities that will come nevertheless when it serves your momentary need or goals or values. Or write it down and do it later. That’s what I do. If I don’t have time in the moment, I write it down to remember or make a reminder and act on it later. Hours later or even days later. It seems to work just fine.

        You say:
“I have tried changing the direction of my timeline but it doesn’t seem to want to stay there… probably parts involved as well.”

Yep. incongruence and secondary gain, “I want to do what I want to do now and not what I “should” or “must” or “have to” do.” I read this as rebellion against authority by the UM even if it comes form your own CM. Be kinder to your UM and train him well. It will cooperate, I promise, but with kindness and love. So, Adam here is a really tough question: do you love and respect yourself enough?

You say: “I hope this isn’t going in my control file… ?”

        LOL

Wow thank you for all that… extremely helpful. Just printed out your suggestions and will be putting them into practice immediately.

So, Adam here is a really tough question: do you love and respect yourself enough?

You hit the nail on the head… that is the root of the problem. Reading your suggestions I’m realizing that I actually do get a lot done, and I have achieved and do achieve a lot, but have trouble giving myself credit for what I accomplish, because there’s always more I could have done or someone else that does it better… an unwinnable game. I want to set up the game of life so that I can win but I also don’t want to get complacent, be mediocre, or lower my standards. So it’s kind of a dance between pushing myself to be better and at the same time making my goals achievable… and then acknowledging when I do succeed at reaching my goals.

So I think clearing up my values and incongruities plus kindly training my UM is going to be a huge shift. Thanks again.

The more I think about it I think this is one of my main obstacles to starting my NLP business. I have used NLP to make huge strides in my thinking and emotional resilience, and in my day to day habits, diet, etc, but in terms of really changing my life at the physical level, despite having an extremely powerful set of tools at my disposal, I have not been successful in changing my life the way I want. So I don’t feel congruent about being able to coach or train someone else to help them change their own lives. I would just feel like a fraud… how can I change your life and charge you big bucks if I can’t even get my own schtuff together? I know this is a bit raw but it’s bubbling up and has to be dealt with if I’m going to get anywhere. Thanks.

Thanks again Alejandro for your help last night. I did some work on this and what I found, in combination with Alejandro’s sage feedback, was that there were still parts of me that really didn’t want to be in charge of my life, and basically wanted someone to help me, do things for me, and take care of me. So I was very polarized between the empowered, at cause part, and this very VL4 victim part. So no wonder I felt like a fraud teaching someone else empowerment when at my core, part of me wasn’t really believing in myself and in NLP… really wasn’t wanting NLP to work because then I would have to be in charge of my life.

So got a lot of that cleared out, and if there’s more, then at least now I’m aware what’s going on.

Btw, I noticed a shift in energy when I started using this forum… like I stepped back into the morphogenetic field. Got the same K as being at a TJC training. Good to be back!!

        Yeah. That’s how it works.
Keep active here. It’ll help you to stay in the morphogenetic field. Life has this nasty habit of dragging us back in the average mode of being/doing/having and we don’t want that. We want exceptional. So let’s help each other to stay connected and increase to potential of this morphogenetic field.

It’s nothing more disappointing for me to talk by myself and have a bunch of poeple reading but not participating. this is an INTERACTIVE forum. whcih means we all interact with each other, ask questions, give each other answers. I am not the guru. 🙂
I don’t want to just post stuff and get no input, because i don’t know what trainers need, and after a while it gets boring to talk by myself. i can do that at home out loud 🙂
If they ask questions then i can answer and we can interact in an empowering way to support this energetic morphogenetic field.

      • #4388

Thanks Adriana for the clarification, I commit to be more active in the Forum. I was under the impression that only you give advice and the rest just participate asking questions. Happy to provide more feedback and support for everyone.

Starting with the first webinar and all the video webinars I have done since, I said that it is an interactive forum. That I want people to post and ask questions, so we can all interact and assist each other. So I don’t know what more I can do to express this clearly.
The participation in the forum is also part of the MT program, so….

I don’t want to just post stuff and get no input, because i don’t know what trainers need, and after a while it gets boring to talk by myself. i can do that at home out loud ?

When Adriana talks to herself, people listen…

So let’s help each other to stay connected and increase to potential of this morphogenetic field.

To increase the potential of the morphogenetic field, what if we created a chi ball for this forum? It could live in the virtual space that this forum occupies, or if it needs a physical home it could live on your server.

As you know, there is an almost magical power behind a group of people sharing a common intention/outcome and putting their energy behind it, so what if we created a “Transform the Planet” chi ball that clearly defines our CE for what Transform the Planet really means to us. What do we want the planet and ourselves to look like? We can install these qualities in the chi ball so that we can align our intentions and energies behind a common vision, a morphogenetic vortex helping us propel ourselves and the planet toward the future we desire.

Here are my thoughts on how this could work:

        1. Adriana could post a “Chi Ball” announcement, soliciting words to be added to the chi ball. Over the next week or so, people can contribute their ideas for key words.
        2. After a week, the words are compiled and an end date for the chi ball is established: say a quarter or 6 months.
        3. Everyone individually, as they have time, does the chi ball procedure and contributes to the Master Trainer ball. So that makes this both an individual and a group process. Each person confirms on the chi ball thread when they have completed the process.
        4. Every quarter or 6 months, depending what’s going on in the world and ourselves, we create chi ball V2.0, V3.0, etc., and continue to evolve the morphogenetic field along with ourselves and the planet.

Thoughts? What questions do you have, what did you learn, what do I need to know?

Hi Adam, how are you doing? have you thought about all what was discussed here few days ago? have you taken any action? I told you i will hold you accountable 😉 Please keep sharing your insights, we have much to learn from you and your experience…

Thanks buddy! Yes I have been talking action, and thanks for holding me accountable and checking in. Here is what I have done so far:

        • Focusing on being aware of when the UM does not agree with my CM’s plan and is throwing a fit, demanding what it wants NOW. When that happens I remember what I consciously want to do instead and then gently coach the UM to get back on track.
        • Started using Adriana’s method of the priority 1, 2, and 3 sets of tasks and so far so good with that getting the most important things done and some of priority 2.
        • Working on cleaning up my business/career values, which both helps with my time management and also helps fulfill MT Forum project #1. I started working on this and immediately felt resistance from the UM. I came up with over 50 values… no wonder I was confused which way to turn. I was pretty overwhelmed with so many values, like this is going to take forever… but I put the top 10 in order and started with those. I realized that the resistance I was experiencing was largely coming from parts. And here is the key point:

I have had the same problems coming up again and again and I couldn’t figure out why they wouldn’t release with TLT. They felt like full time problems… when I was in them. The truth is that they were really parts. So for anyone who has had problems that just wouldn’t respond to TLT, even if you think it’s a full time problem, REALLY make sure to ask yourself if there’s EVER a time when it’s not a problem. Because when you’re in the problem it can feel like that’s all there is… even if in another state it would not be a problem for you at all. So I was fooled, but I finally figured it out, thanks in large part to coaching from Alejandro and Adriana, so thank you both for that.

So today alone I integrated over 10 parts while working through my values. Not done cleaning up the career values yet but I finally got rid of some very persistent problems!!! And I’m sure many of these parts were affecting values in multiple areas of life. I have felt a huge release of energy already.

        • Did a short coaching session today with a fellow TJC student and helped her integrate some parts that naturally and “coincidentally” were almost identical to the ones I released today, so as Adriana mentioned, I got to work on my projection by coaching someone else.
        • Putting daily goals in my timeline and working toward those, then giving myself recognition and using resource anchor when I achieve them.

So that’s my update so far… will be posting to the Project #1 thread when I finish cleaning up the career values.

What a great question Adam!! I wish all the MT participants read it and my answer. This is so important!!!
I am sure there are others thinking the same way.
So, here is what I think about the whole issue.

        1. Feeling “like a fraud” is a belief! Think of it! It’s JUST a belief. A=B=C and therefore “I am a fraud” . Misplaced complex equivalents. Nobody is perfect. And again, as I said in another post, define “perfect”. According to whom? In what trend?
        2. So, there is an inappropriate complex equivalent there. This is so THEREFORE, THIS MEANS (equal sign) I am ..blah, blah. Blah here being whatever conclusion the person has reached based on their life experience so far. The truth is that you are not anything you can think of. I am a fraud equals you with something. It’s an identification. And all identifications are false. Because this is NOT who you are. Think of it please!
        3. Have you considered that sometimes – actually all the time – our projections (I.e. Our clients, or our students) are there solely for the purpose of us seeing our own shortcomings and solving the problems for them while at the same time we solve the problems within us? Maybe we are in denial many times and we need to see the unconscious stuff ourself the self so we can fix it while working with another individual or even groups of individuals? In fact this is how it works. We are unconscious of our own cr**! Thus we project it outside the self to notice it and do sketching about it. Paradoxically as we do something to solve it for others, we solve it inside ourselves. I can’t tell you how many times students and clients have presented me and Tad with our own problems! So much so, that after taking the DPH, we asked whether this perish talks about us or themselves? So close and so exact was the projection.
If you go in a cave and meditate life is easy. It becomes difficult when you live together with other people. Being a monk is easy. Being a fully immersed in society AND dealing from a cause perspective with all the trouble that appears, is the real growth in consciousness.
        4. All it takes is to trust the script in the MP manual and follow it. The breakthrough session. Just follow it step by step and write down what the client says. The whole script automated the process. It’s designed for the begging get steges where people do not trust themselves yet for whatever reasons. So, that’s all it takes. Trust. Trust in the process. Which after being followed a few times leads to trust in self. There is nothing that repakces experience. So, only by trusting the self, and doing it, one gains trust in own expertise. It cannot come any otherwise. This of it, only by doing TLT with a client, and – let’s say nothing else, which is not the case because there are a values, beliefs, decisions, SMDs, anchoring, strategies – you have helped that person by leaps and bounds in their life. What does it take for things to go south? A bunch of good and knowledgeable people doing nothing! A little is far more than nothing.
Anyway, that’s what I think. You’ll never be 100% sure of anything and your life will never be perfect. Once you solve one issue, you move to the next one, maybe a level higher, because there is always something coming out of unconsciousness for resolution. You have to bite the bullet and start somewhere otherwise you’ll never start.

Thank you! A lot of great learnings there for me.

The truth is that you are not anything you can think of.

Wow that is the ultimate CE buster… I will be using that one. And I’m definitely not anything I can’t think of… yet..

Have you considered that sometimes – actually all the time – our projections (I.e. Our clients, or our students) are there solely for the purpose of us seeing our own shortcomings and solving the problems for them while at the same time we solve the problems within us?

I had lost sight of this one because my focus was on me being “good enough” for the client/students. My CE was that as a coach/trainer I to be superhuman basically, and that any flaws or mistakes would cause me to lose all credibility with the students. But of course like you have said, I can get away with anything if I frame it correctly. So yes, this totally flips things around, where the whole point is for me to clean up my shtuff and evolve… AND help others.

      • #4386

There is no way of being “good enough” but by experience and achievements. Achievements and accomplishing goals will increase the feeling of self-confidence and self-worth. It starts with TLT, of course, to remove decisions and beliefs which run contrary, but accumulating daily wins and accomplishments of small and big goals is the only way of really getting to the self-worth and self-confidence and self-belief that we all so much want and need for our hearts.
YOU are the only thing (although I don’t mean you’re a “thing” :-)) that cannot ever be taken away from you. The rest is just…stuff.

Without that accomplishment given by doing, it all remains a dream. So taking action and doing things will lead to that being good enough.Otherwise you’ll never know.

I believe i already answered this maybe in a roundabout way.

How can I change your life and charge you big bucks if I can’t even get my own schtuff together? I know this is a bit raw but it’s bubbling up and
has to be dealt with if I’m going to get anywhere.
You clean up your SCHTUFF (that’s actually very funny) WHILE you help change other people’s lives. not sequential but simultaneous.

      • #4463

Fully agree, you receive back from the universe what you are giving, by helping others you help and heal yourself; everything happens for a reason, there is a reason that person became your client and is looking for your help at this moment; always do your best, you don’t need to be perfect to help others. And regarding NLP, TLT, just follow the scripts, they work. Even if not done perfectly. there is a magic in them that makes them work. I have seen it many times attending the trainings where we students are learning and not always follow the scripts exactly and the techniques in the exercises work anyway!

I’m borrowing that from Steph and Shay so they get the royalty on it. “Your shhhhhh…tuff…”

And got it on the simultaneous part, thanks. I mean if I wait to be “done” cleaning up before I help people I could be waiting a long time and that would be a disservice to everyone.

      Hi All

Am reading posts and want to share an experience that directly influences what I can do right now.

When I was little, I used to ask my grandma, “grandma, can you tell me one of your stories when you were growing up…” My grandma had lots of stories… it was only when I grew up that I realized that her stories were based on real experiences. Her challenges and actions were real. About 13 years ago, I applied to do a six month consultancy with a large organization politically led and responsible for a large local government area. The task was to ‘write the strategy and get the organization to understand community engagemsnt’. Hmmm. So I get to interview and the story goes like this “…thanks for applying, look, we don’t really care if you achieve the task or not because we just want to tick the box to say that we meet the legislation and really know one cares about community engagement, some do but it is hard, you can cruise along and get paid well and by the way, there is no extension to this contract…so think about it…” my curiosity was very keen. Now, I was listening to all this and even though at the time, I had read a book on NLP and didn’t have the resources I now have, I listened and maintained rapport. So, I did think about it. I had three options during the interview and they were the same at the end of the interview, they were a) this is not for me, these guys are crazy, don’t waste your energy and time b)you sant to make a difference in this world and this is an opportunity to take action and achieve the task c) yes, take on the consultancy, you can cruise, achieve nothing except a better bank account and lots of coffees. So what do you suppose I did?

That’s right… I took action because connecting people with their environment and improving leadership was important to me. Listening carefully to what was said to me at interview, I picked up that the people around the table all had a different understanding of what the task was and I concluded a few things. One being that they were saying on the surface what was really happening in the deep structure. If they didn’t know, how will staff know and if they didn’t believe in it, who will?

I became a wandering consultant with my cup of tea, having conversations with people in the organization – to gauge what did they really know… same thing. Some people who really believed in community engagement and doing their best locally for globally and those who said it was a waste of time and if the public didn’t like what they were doing ‘too bad’. Along the way, they got to know me and Vice versa and the positive I found was that they were doing community engagement in different ways and to varying levels – good stuff. And some of the conversations were, well, different.

I reported weekly to the boss…it wasn’t a report about progress… I was having conversations with them too… I developed a strategy and put together an action plan… one of the actions was a specialized learning centre just for staff and pollies…. I was told ‘your wasting your time because NO ONE will sign up to anything like that…’ Really?

And yes they did and at the first workshop there were 46 participants including pollies with the subsequent workshops already filling up. You see, some people in the organization we’re on their own treadmill, moving along at their own pace, exerting just enough energy to move through each day till the next pay day or holiday or whatever and some really wanted to make a difference and felt unheard or didn’t know how to be heard… helping people to think differently and owning their thinking made a difference. Six months passed and I achieved what I set out to do and the organization also moved along and had achieved a) a strategy owned by more than a minority including senior managers and pollies b) a learning framework to continue building their knowledge and skills in community engagement and c) further investment in community engagement. Yes… they wanted more…

Funnily enough, at the end of my final report, I was offered 1. An extension to my contract 2. More money 3. A company car. I gratefully and graciously said no to all three. I already had my next contract elsewhere and that had its own challenges needing action. So my grandma taught me well about listening carefully. I learned a lot at that interview and over the six months. My intuition was spot on, in my analysis of the situation – I saw opportunity, I saw the outcome, I connected, this organization was outside my scope of experience – outside my comfort zone – GREAT, I took action, stayed focused and used my time there effectively and most importantly my self belief, flexiblity in my thinking and desire to do ‘different’ made a difference. This organization was not a straight road and that was okay. my life has not been a straight road and I see that as a positive.

These days, I think about the NLP presuppositions and my positive learnings and when I tell the story like this one, I note that all the presuppositions make a difference in so many ways.

So, what I can do? I can believe in myself, be at cause, focus – have CLARITY and take action. Look inside… it’s all there. There are all sorts of clouds and other stuff that can get in the way, if you let it – now that would be a waste of time and energy. The world is a big place and we really can make a difference. I am so excited about the points Adriana has shared… got to get to the forum now… ciao for now, Gina

      Amazing action Miss Gina!:)
You not only read the cover, you read the book! And made the decision to act out of core values rather than adopt the corporations model of the world. You accepted it entered into it and rewrote the the program installing a new mindset of belief a new strategy for connecting with community and left behind a platform for continued elevation of environment.
      That is Transform the Planet.
Thank you, Gina, for the successful model of accomplishment to be emulated.

Adriana! Thank you:) there may be plenty of those coming as I am ramping up my connections here in the San Diego/LA area.
I opened an office about 1.5yrs ago here in Temecula and have been seeing clients on a semi regular basis. However it’s time to get some trainings going. I will be teaching along side Veronica Perez at a Practitioner Course that she is putting together down in SD in March. Thank you again, I am looking forward to wrapping up more of my Master Trainer requirements this summer in Henderson hopefully Master P and TT.

Aaron, start DOING the projects if you’re really serious about this field.
      Really!
You won’t know how valuable they are until you actually go throug them one by one and actually do them.
And ask questions here in the forum.
ANY questions. This is why this forum is here. For you and your fellow trainers to stay connected, to participate in the same mind frame and morphogenic field (as Adam said above in the thread) and not get yourself back into the mind-morass of “the average” of society in general
Looking forward to chat with you more here. And of course to see you in the summer.

If you’re interested in assisting please post in the forum called ASSISITING PROGRAM the trainings you would like to assist at. Our lists of coaching assistants are filing quickly. For example I already know that TT in Henderson is full at this stage. We can put you on a waiting list as things shift for people and spots may open up, but please let us know in advance.
