These are really great thank you both. I wish I would have asked this question sooner.

These calls are referring to leads that are coming through the website. Do you have any tips for what industry to cold call in?

Or put another way. After doing this for so many years what industry do you find is the most receptive to learning NLP?

So if I were to start dialing tomorrow and I have been. So I can 80/20 this… What types of business owners do you see come in through Tad James the most? ie: real estate, lawyers.

Also how long will these videos be posted Laura?

        Hey Patrick,
        Good questions.

What is your ‘elevator pitch’ that you created during NLP TT?

Also – what industry is the most common industry to take an NLP Training?
Big question – All of them – but what do all have in common?
They have the want and need to grow (very general and big picture i know).

        What is your background?

Also Perception is Projection – What i mean here – when we had a training adviser who had a nursing background, guess what, we had more nurses in our training’s wanting to transition into coaching. This just tells you that in the beginning you will most likely have more certainty talking with businesses in the industry you have come from or transitioning from.

        Some CC tips:
When you get to talk with the ‘business owner’ or ‘decision maker’ then they will buy ‘you’ – so if you know something about their industry that they can relate to then you can engage with them (build rapport) and then navigate the call towards the other 4 steps.
If you know nothing about the restaurant industry, then do a little research about how restaurants are run, what their main problems are so that when you talk with the franchisee or business owner, you have substance to talk about with them.

I have just Googled ‘main issues when running a restaurant’ – and the first link was this: https://restaurantengine.com/common-problems-restaurants-face/
You create solutions to these using NLP Coaching in a 1 on 1 format with the owner or workshop format with the restaurant team – then NOW you have substance to bring to the conversation after you build rapport.

You don’t need to have a 2 day restaurateur workshop created to sell it – what you say (with congruence) is ‘I have done research in the restaurant industry and have identified the main issues are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (what ever was on the list), would you agree that if we were to solve or significantly improve any of these, your business will run smoother, you will have less staff turnover and ultimately you will make more money as the business owner?”
You get a Yes to this question and then it is about the how to make it happen and you can do the ‘I’m Free’ talk (i.e. it doesn’t matter what i charge, as long as you make more money, then i am free).

Hope this helps and you go into your calls with more certainty by having a strategy.

Hi Conor, I just signed up a prac student!! I did what you shared in the webinar, explaining the big picture of the 4 levels of NLP starting with Master Trainer to Practitioner, I also explained that the NLP Certification has 2 parts (MP & P), asked the embedded command (‘all our students believed they are capable of more, do you believe that about yourself?’), did all that within the 5 steps sales process and asked for the close. Magic happened. Now she is also entertaining the IR for Master Trainer ? Thank you Conor!
